This spicy BDSM novel is a good, quick palate cleanser and exactly what I needed right now. Anna and Grant have great chemistry and outside of the spicy scenes, their banter is hilarious. I also found the interactions with the side characters really entertaining and the perfect set up for upcoming books in this series that I’m sure will happen.

One little itch that wasn’t scratched; Anna clearly has some emotional issues that are connected to the relationship with her mom and that never gets any closure. I get that this book is basically all smut, so why bring in a potentially deeper topic if that’s not going to be fully explored and eventually resolved? The book basically ends with Anna and Grant promising to talk about it together and that’s it. We don’t get to see him help her resolve those deep seated issues or her confronting her mom at all. Seems like both a wasted opportunity and a waste of time.

Overall I enjoyed this and I think I’ll explore some other works from this author!

Phew. This is a very sexy book, with lots of great scenes told in toe curling detail. There is romance woven into the tale and fire on every page from the opening chapter. Anna is a great character - all strength and power and sass and so when she comes up against her Dom they are dynamite. There is tenderness under it all although the most fabulous part of the book is the interaction with Lola, Anna’s best friend. She is just perfect and allows us to know Anna better as well as to see what a gift a tight bond of friendship is.

I loved this book. I fell in love with both Grant and Anna throughout. The way the spicy scenes were written allowed me to understand what was happening and the world in which this book is set. This book is worth reading!

There's nothing better for a palate cleanser than a quick, easy smutty read! This is a really good spicy read for my darker, smutty book lovers.
Anna is the fmc with a trauma-based past She's sassy, submissive, yet can be a brat. For two weeks, she's left in a winter retreat as her family bailed on her. Enter Grant, the mmc whose family's house Anna is staying in. Grant is a hot ( HE HAS DIMPLES) dominant mmc who likes what he likes.

One of my highlights for this book (other than the hot spicy scenes) is how the author displayed what healthy kinks look like. Many readers like me, read smutty books because it helps us dive into taboo topics that we may not have known before (kinks, dom/sub etc.) Being able to convey a type of kink and what it SHOULD look and feel like is so important as readers then know what it should be if they choose to try to do something new in their own lives. (wink wink)

This was a seriously steamy read that’s sure to get your pulse racing. It features intense graphic scenes involving rough and force play, so it's definitely not for the faint of heart—trigger warning for those sensitive to such themes. That said, I really enjoyed it. I especially loved that, while the woman was submissive, she was still a strong, badass character who knew what she wanted and got it—just like her partner. As a couple, they were fantastic together.

Snow Bound was an interesting romantic erotica. Anna arrives in Michigan expecting to spend the next two weeks with her family, only to find they have bailed on her for sunny Florida. Grant arrives at his mother's house for a surprise visit to find the woman he was supposed to meet at the club. After initial apprehension from Grant and Anna, they decide to pick up where they left off and maybe push the limits of the original plan. It was an entertaining read.

What I appreciate about Murray is that she does not just write smut or kink. She depicts the consent and agreements within the kink community (if done right) and the negotiations of a scene. It's educational and also a reminder that that there is a right way to do kink and a wrong way that might cause trauma. I liked Snow Bound because it depicted Anna confronting her existing traumas within a scene and Grant recognizing that. I am intrigued by the psychology of kink and so Snow Bound was a good read. Yes, it's steamy and I love 10/10 spice but it was more than that. The kink scenes did feel a little long but I think that was due to Murray trying to set the intention of the scene and explaining the non-sexy parts of kink (odd thing to say), which are necessary to establish safety and trust.

Anna goes on a family vacation to snowy Michigan only to be abandoned by her family when they go to Sunny Florida instead. Grant comes home to visit his mom and discovers a woman he’d once met at the club staying there. What happens when a sassy eager-for-pain submissive spends two weeks with a sadistic Dom who is happy to explore every kink?

Although the extensive descriptions and internal monologue seem to slow the flow of the book (and lengthen it significantly, there is also a fun storyline, believable attraction (spicy!), and a handful of intense scenes. A good read - hoping Lola gets her own book after!

Grant is just looking for some downtime at his mother’s home, not realizing she’s left town and rented it out. These two have a brief mixed-signals past. Anna might be mad, but she gets over it really fast.

This is erotica, so expect the doors to be wide open with multiple spicy scenes. What you might not expect is how well-written those scenes are as they describe the physical and emotional and the drop into sub space. The author’s attention to consent and safety is so appreciated. This isn’t just smut for smut’s sake.

Especially loved the side characters! Fingers crossed Lola is getting her own (hopefully from Michael and Simon, because yes. Yes!)

A quick and dirty read about a sub dipping her toe into the bdsm world and just happening upon the Dom who stood her up. Her family were turds though and she definitely deserved better from them so Grant was the perfect person for her

WELL this is definitely a steamy, jam packed erotica. It is exactly what you are looking for when you seek out a spicy read. Anna's rage in the beginning felt a bit dramatic and unrealistic for me, but maybe that's just what you get in a book like this. Especially since it's clearly some sort of misunderstanding (one way or another) and she is just bulldozing her way through these accusations. She even says that they had only met once and had zero promises. Anyway, I digress. The spice is HOT and spicy. Make a girl sweat a little. But the dialogue and character interactions felt a little like bad porn. I also have an extremely hard time believing that this sex-crazed woman has not had an orgasm by anyone other than her vibrator in over 2 years. Plot holes pull me out of it every time.

don't read this at night pls. it only got WIDE OPEN SPICE scene. and a tiny plot between them making love and nothing else.
