Valeria is engaged to be married to a jerk. Their ship just crashed and she is assumed dead at sea. When she stumbles upon a handsome demon, the two strike a deal and end up bound to one another. The two will slowly fall in love, if they don't cut each other's throat first.
This book reminded me of Sarah J Maas a lot and I found the characters likable and felt very calm while listening to it. It definitely has cozy romantasy vibes but the cliffhanger left me reeling and the pace of the plot moved too slowly for the first half of the book.

This book was highly entertaining even though its starts slowly, the voice actors were AMAZING, and I loved the cozy vibes from this book and the found family.
The emotional build up is pretty great and I loved the gargoyles and Asmo’s cousin.
The female main character was great too, she was brave, kind and compassionate.

"A Fated Vow" by Amanda Aggie is an absolutely enchanting read that had me captivated from the very first page. The author masterfully weaves a tale of love, destiny, and the bonds that tie us together, creating a narrative that feels both fresh and timeless.
The characters are richly developed, each with their own unique backstories and personal struggles that make them relatable and endearing. I found myself deeply invested in their journeys, especially the chemistry between the protagonists. Their connection is palpable, and it beautifully illustrates the concept of love that is meant to be. Aggie's writing style is fluid and engaging, with vivid descriptions that paint the scenes in my mind. I could easily imagine the settings, from the cozy, intimate moments to the grand, sweeping backdrops of their adventures.
What truly sets "A Fated Vow" apart is its exploration of fate versus free will. The tension between the characters' choices and the pull of destiny adds a layer of depth to the plot. I appreciated how Aggie tackled these themes with nuance, allowing readers to reflect on their own lives while immersed in this engrossing story.
The pacing is spot-on, balancing moments of intense passion with quieter, introspective scenes that made me pause and reflect. Just when I thought I had the story figured out, Aggie threw in twists that kept me on the edge of my seat, eager to see how everything would unfold.
Overall, "A Fated Vow" is a heartfelt and passionate tale that will resonate with anyone who believes in the power of love and destiny. Amanda Aggie has outdone herself with this one, and I can’t recommend it highly enough. It’s a five-star read that I’ll be coming back to again and again!

It was my first time reading/listening to one of Amanda Aggie's books. Overall, it was nice but it didn't live to the expectations of the advertising (e.g., it was said to be "for fans of ACOTAR") and some of the thropes, mainly the enemies-to-lovers one. I feel like the enemy phase was pretty brief and they became (unromantically) attached very early in the story which then developped to lovers.
I feel like it's more of a cozy fantasy than anything else as there is not much happening in the story. I expected more actions from the advertising and summary of the book. If it had been advertised as a cozy fantasy, my expectations would not have been the same.
But as I said, overall it was a nice read and I am intrigued about what is going to happen in the next book!
Thank you to NetGalley and Tantor Audio for the ALC.

This book had me cackling. “Most notorious sack of potatoes.” LOL. But really it was so fun and so well written. The narration was chefs kiss also!

The narration of the audiobook is a must-listen, it brought the characters to life and I can’t wait to continue this series!
The cliffhanger at the end broke my heart so brace yourself for the devastating wait for book two… 💔
The brooding demon MMC Asmo is dreamy, the sarcastic banter between him and Valeria is hilarious 🥰😍 Their connection is electric!
It’s not cosy fantasy but isn’t high fantasy either,. It is a an easy enemies-to-lovers romance with layers of magical politics, sensual tension, secret identities and tragic backstories!

It took me a little while to get into A Fated Vote, but once I did I couldn’t dream of putting it down. I really enjoyed the characters and the comedic relief. I was expecting a bit more dark humor, seeing as one of the main characters was a demon, but was pleasantly surprised by the lighthearted atmosphere and happy-go-lucky vibes that they exuded. While there were darker themes, the way that the characters interacted with each other kept a smile on my face almost the entire time. Valeria and Azmo had a magnetism about them along with banter that both entertained and drew me in. Their relationship ran a bit toward insta-love, but the chemistry between them was apparent and it didn’t bother me.
I think the reason for the slow start had to do with the world building and the fact that there wasn’t a ton of it. I really wanted more in terms of explaining the background and the characters backstories, but only received glimpses that the characters shared in passing. I firmly believe that if the beginning of the story had a bit more “meat” to it, I would have been hooked in even faster and this would have been a five star read for sure.
The narrators really nailed this audio performance and perfectly captured the essence of the characters. Their inflections made it so much easier to fall into the story and imagine I was right there with Valeria and Azmo. I am really looking forward to getting my hands on book two!

I really enjoyed this audiobook. The narrators did a wonderful job. I especially liked the male narrator’s voice. The story itself was very good. I love a good enemies to lovers with some twists thrown in. THE twist at the end was crazy! I didn’t see it coming at all. And then it went and ended on a cliffhanger. I really really need book 2 ASAP!
Thank you to NetGalley, Amanda Aggie, and Tantor Audio for the ALC! All opinions are my own.

Grabbed me from the dedication and didn't let go until the end!
The story: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
The heat: 🔥🔥 (very slow burn)
The audiobook: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
The audiobook is a dual narration voiced by Lila Winters and EM Wylde. Both were new to me and I enjoyed their styles!
"To the girlies out there collecting morally gray book boyfriends like Pokémon."
The author had me at the dedication🤣🙌
This is the 7th book Amaada Aggie has released in the 7 realms world (though even more has been released in her connected world), and I think it's my favorite to date! If you have picked up one of her books before, you probably have run into Asmodeus Morningstar, lovingly referred to as Asmo, the son of Lucifer and Persephone.
To call Asmo's life hard would be an understatement. This man has had a TRAGIC life! He's been exiled, imprisoned, tortured, and suffered countless losses. But now is his chance to finally have the life he deserves, with family and friends that love and care about him, but there is one thing missing...
Enter Valeria, an elf princess on the run from a marriage she doesn’t want. She has no where to go, no money and power, and ends up hiding is Asmo's home.
Even though Asmo has been portrayed as a monster, it comes across quickly how much of a sweet sugary center he has. He is constantly playing champion for the little guy, whether its taking Valeria in when she has no where to go, rescuing his *nephew from nefarious witches, and getting justice for his people who were slaughtered long ago. He's the definition of "Would do anything for the people he cares about", and even though he claims he only cares about a select few, its a lie, his circle is growing by the day.
*and an honorable mention to the nephew!!! Griffin is giving Asmo a run for my money on new favorite character! I LOVE HIM!!
I also really loved this book! The authors world building is what made me fall in love with her writing, but her characters are what keep me coming back for more. Both shine through in this story while making me laugh and cry along the way.
We get the perfect mix of revisiting old characters while also getting enough of a new story that I am very excited to see what happens next. Especially after that mic drop of a cliffhanger! I am obsessed with how this book ends!
This series can be read as a standalone but don't miss out on most of the fun! I highly recommend reading the other books in this world and getting to enjoy all of the easter eggs the author hid in the story.

3.75⭐️ This was overall a good read for me. I had a very good time with the world and characters. Love some good side characters that meddle a bit. I understand why it’s considered enemies to lovers but would have loved for that to have fleshed out a little bit longer. The build up to Valeria and Asmodeus was a good forbidden romance. Very curious how book two will continue Valeria’s and Asmo’s story.
4.5⭐️ Wonderful narration by Lila Winters and E.M. Wylde. I always enjoy it more when I can feel the emotions through narration; and their work together very much achieved that.
Valeria has been shipwrecked and not in the best location. But if you were betrothed to a horrible man that just wanted you for breading, it’s a simple choice to run. No one knows who she truly is and those that do believe her dead. Valeria would like to keep it that way. Too bad it’s a demon prince’s home she’s been squatting in. Oh, and she stabbed him. Naturally, Valeria enters an agreement with him and this ties their lives together. Now they must work together which may prove more difficult as their chemistry grows.
Thank you to @netgalley @tantoraudio and Amanda Aggie for the advanced listener copy.

Thank you to NetGalley for providing this ARC 💕
First of all I must say the narrators of this audiobook were amazing! Both were very good at voicing the other characters (even those of opposite gender) and their voices were so buttery to listen to.
I found the magic system fascinating with the knots and how in death there are reapers you can make deals with to continue living.
I loved Asmo’s tragic backstory with his lost love as it added a new layer to his character development and reasoning to his actions.
As for side characters, Alice was an absolute queen (literally) and her ability to see potential futures was a great addition to the story.
I also loved Griffin. He was super funny and I really hope to see more of him in future books!
This is a spicy fantasy (which I greatly appreciate) and Amanda Aggie did a great job building the tension between Asmo and Valeria making the payoff so so worth it (and might I add the way the spice scenes were written was impeccable!). The dance scene in particular was a favourite of mine 💕
Plus bonus points for having a Harry Potter reference!

3 stars rounded up. This was ok! I don't think there's anything super unique or memorable about this story, but I was mostly entertained throughout. I think my biggest issue is that neither main character has much depth to them. I wish there had been more meaningful conversation and true chemistry between the two. There are many glimpses into each characters past and personality, but it never goes further than that. I was also able to predict a good portion of events, which took away from the element of surprise I look forward to in books. Another thing that was quite jarring were the random pop culture references, mentions of twerking and hogwarts for example. That definitely felt out of place. Others might enjoy this more than I did, give it a shot if it sounds good to you! Thank you Netgalley for the ARC.

This is the first book I have read from this author. After quick research, it seems like there are previous books from this world that would be beneficial to read before this one, even though it’s a standalone.
That being said, I got some weird forbidden love vibes from MMC and his SIL Alice. Like griffin even has to address it because there is underlining sexual tension. Even if the author doesn’t mean to write it that way.
Seems the author is a game of thrones fan possibly. Borrowing little details like the mad king, a family with white hair like the Targaryens and even the FMC is named Valaria and also they worship dragons?
Also the gen Z talk kinda took me out of the story saying things like “ his face is giving…”
It just didn’t fit very well into the story.
The actual plot is very thin. This book is very romance relationship driven. Which, if I’m being honest is a bit lackluster. We’re supposed to root for Onzo and Valaria but Onzo every 5 minutes is reminding you of his dead mate and also Alice. I don’t think there’s enough room for Valaria
But then this plot twist at the very end? Annoying.
Overall, the book was fine. Would I say it’s good? No. Would I say it’s bad? No.

Oh my gosh, A Fated Vow by Amanda Aggie totally stole my heart! It’s like a wild mix of enemies and lovers, with magic, mystery, and just the right amount of darkness to keep you hooked the whole time.
The elf girl, who’s supposed to one day rule the Elven Islands, has her world flipped when she’s forced into a marriage with Vanderlyth’s biggest troublemaker—sounds sketch, right? And then she gets cast away at sea, presumed dead, but washes up on some random shores with her soul still vibing from the waves.
But things get even crazier when she spots this brooding demon lord with scars and eyes that burn like midnight. He’s honestly kinda terrifying but also kinda hot? Like that dark, dangerous vibe that’s impossible to ignore. He’s not your typical hero, but his pain and power just pull her in deeper.
The chemistry? Next level. It’s a slow burn with sparks flying everywhere, teasing you with danger and desire. Their world is a mess but also kinda addictive, with love fighting to bloom in the shadows.
If you’re into stories that hit you right in the feels—fierce heroines, dangerous guys, and romance that’s basically a forbidden secret—then A Fated Vow is totally your vibe. I’m obsessed and giving it four stars. Amanda Aggie’s magic is just… next level.

A Fated Vow proved to be a delightful listen, brought to life by this audiobook. The author crafts witty banter that made even brighter through the dual POV. I feel like I had a good chance to fully appreciate the playful exchanges and the distinct voices of the characters.
While I liked the character interaction and world-building, at times the plot felt somewhat thin, with moments where the momentum seemed to slow. However, I’m excited to see where this story goes next. The strength of the character dynamics and the richness of the setting kept me engaged even during the quieter plot moments.

After the ship Valeria was on was attacked and she was left for dead, she ends up at the demon Prince Asmo's keep. She secretly stays to escape her arranged marriage to an awful sack of potatoes.
Asmo finds her and demands she leaves, and after a few.. interesting altercations he allows her to stay.
Valeria doesn't know whether to feel relieved or worried that her life has been tethered to the prince of death, who was banished for slaughtering a castle full of people. He is drop dead gorgeous, but they are constantly bantering. In a world filled with secrets and on the brink of war, they are quite literally forced to find a way to work together and keep the other alive.
A fated vow was such a great Romantasy book. It's a slow paced, semi-cozy read and not too deep fantasy or confusing to follow. This book is great for anyone, even if you aren't the biggest fantasy reader. Griffin was my favorite character, he had the perfect comic relief moments. I am so excited that this audiobook introduced me to this author, I cannot wait to read more of her books. The cliff-hanger at the end has me so ready for the next book.
"Involved? No. Suffering the presence of? Yes."
"Everyone is terrified that their only heir will get hurt, so you're placed in a bubble. You can't eat sleep or breathe without someone there watching, it's lonely and the silence is deafening. Sometimes you need a reprieve and just to crawl out from beneath the weight of responsibility of it to remind yourself what it's like to live."
"War doesn't solve anything- the only thing war leads to is the death of innocent lives on both sides."

The narrator, E.M. Wylde had such a lovely and relaxing voice, which fit the mood of the story, and was perfect to portray Asmo. I also enjoyed the upbeat voice of Lila Winters as Valeria. They made listening to the characters' the banter top-tier. I would highly recommend listening to this book, even if you've already read the book. The audiobook was exceptional and one of my favorites so far this year.
4.5 Stars
Thanks so much to NetGalley and Tantor Audio for this ARC / ALC.

I am so thankful to Tantor Audio and NetGalley for this ALC. The narrators in this book were absolutely amazing. And I wanted to say that I like the book which I did, but I had some issues with it that just were too distracting to be fully immersed in the book.
The biggest issue that I had is with the MMC. If you’re going to create a book that’s around or centered around an MMC that has lore already behind them, then maybe you should stick to some of the lore… but creating a completely new character based on the name alone just was a little offputting and hard for me to get past. If it had been any other MMC, this book would have been FANTASTIC… it was just a little hard for me to get beyond what I know about Asmodeus. Also, the pop culture references of twerking, praying to the porcelain God, etc. just didn’t fit into fantasy.
But because I’m a girl who wants to find out how something finishes I will indeed pick up the next book.

This was such a fun audiobook – once it got going! The first third is definitely on the slower side, but I was rewarded for sticking with it. Once the plot picks up, it really does – emotional tension, banter, spice, political drama, murdery magic and all.
Asmo is the perfect morally grey grumpy demon who falls hard (and only) for Valeria, a stubborn, snarky elven girl trying to survive after washing up near his remote home. Their chemistry is top-notch – tender, steamy and just so enjoyable. He calls her Starlight. Sigh.
The characters can be hilarious – the dancing gargoyles reanimated with the souls of the murdered are a wild example (and "unexpected item in anus vibes" had me howling!) – but the humour balances nicely with the darker moments. Yes, it ends on a cliff-hanger, but I’m absolutely in for book two.
The two narrators were very good – the woman voicing Valeria was excellent and a joy to listen to. The man voicing Asmo did a solid job too, though his ultra-deep gruff romance-hero voice took a bit of getting used to.
Thanks to NetGalley and RBmedia for the ALC, this is my honest opinion.

♥️ Enemies to Lovers
♥️ Deal with a Demon
♥️ Fated Mates
Slow burn romance involving a demon deal and a lost elven duchess. Narrated by Lila Winters and E.M. Wylde, whose animated narration and chemistry with one another kept me fully enthralled in the story, bringing these characters to life. The banter and the flirting—I loved Amos and Valeria's love story, keeping me wanting to listen to every word. There isn’t a heavy fantasy plot, but enough to keep you wanting to know more and easy to follow along. The morally grey, grumpy, and scared Amos has fulfilled all our book boyfriend dreams with his banter and flirting, which had me BLUSHING. Can’t wait for book two after that ending!

While I was enjoying the book overall, around the 85% mark Hogwarts is mentioned. Considering the harmful beliefs of the author of Harry Potter I stopped listening as soon as that was mentioned.
This is a pity because the narrator's, world building and all other elements of the story were very nice. If any references to Harry Potter were to be removed this book would have the potential to be a popular Romantasy title.
