Wow! This was a great romantic suspense of a character on the run and the bounty hunter sent to find her!

I really liked the way the story starts and builds, and how we slowly learned more information about Carrie and her situation!

I loved that Grayson was more of a mystery and how he couldn't stay away. It was one of my favorite part of the book. He definitely fell fast and hard.

I listened to the audio and the narrators kept me on the edge of my seat. I really liked the narrators and how they brought the characters to life!

I can't wait to start part 2 of the duet!

This was my first Brittany Ann book, and it did not disappoint! The chemistry between the main characters is incredibly electric, and I found myself deeply drawn to the profound connection Grayson felt for her even before their paths crossed. Carrie, a resilient widow bravely moving forward from her past, contrasts beautifully with Grayson—our morally complex and irresistibly charming protagonist, who embodies both the thrill of danger and a longing heart as he pursues her. The audiobook significantly enhanced the storytelling experience, with the narrators delivering truly exceptional performances. Penny was an absolute joy to listen to, beautifully expressing the rich tapestry of emotions I expected from Carrie at just the right moments. Simultaneously, Alex masterfully conveyed Grayson’s feelings and frustrations, bringing his character to life with remarkable depth and authenticity. This enchanting narration effortlessly draws you into the narrative, making you feel like you are sharing the journey with the characters. What a delightful experience!

4.5 stars rounded up. I listened to the audiobook ALC, and the narrators, Penny Liu & Alex Kydd are perfect for their roles. The gravel in Alex Kydd's voice was perfect for an ex-military Bounty Hunter. This would have been 5 stars, but the dark romance spicy parts were a bit cringe for me. I thought I was reading a Contemporary Romance, but it is definitely a Dark Romance with Thriller/Suspense vibes. Other than the spice, the rest of the book was so very good! The plot twists had me totally hooked, and the ending, HOLY CLIFFHANGER! I immediately had to download the kindle version of the 2nd book because the audio isn't available yet. I will be digging in to Brittany Ann's other books for sure! She had me on the edge of my seat! Definitely check the trigger warnings before deciding to read or listen to this book!

I had zero expectations going in as I love going in blind. But wow did i love this. I love how raw carrie was and her broken background made you automatically feel for her. I love grayson and how absolutely unhinged he is. The touch her and die vibe is perfectly set and the fact he comes with a whole team? Yum I hope to see more of theor stories in the future. This ended on a cliffhanger so il be diving into book two real soon! Is a 4 not a 5 for me because as im well aware that this is fictional, I had a hard time believing how easy it was for her to get out. I know she planned it for months but it was a bit too smooth. Then when she got to the small town she got an awful lot straight off the bat. People arnt that nice to strangers 😅 small gripe otherwise I loved this 🫠

It was nice to catch up once again with carrie and grayson and I enjoyed this audiobook. I liked the male narrator more than the female narrator but she was a new to me so it may just be my preference.

This was a great ALC that I received courtesy of Tantor Audio and NetGalley. I hadn’t heard of the author before but now I’m locked in and sat waiting on the conclusion to this Duet.

At first I thought, there’s a lot going on without a lot of information being told BUT when the mystery started to unravel it was worth it. The spicy, the character development was chef’s kiss. Can’t wait to read/listen to book two!

Let me start with saying I have NEVER wanted to read a second book as soon as I finished the first like I am right now! What a freaking cliff hanger!!!!!!!!! Also, dark romance is not my normal genre BUT I was hooked on this book right from the beginning. This book had me in my feels from happiness, fear, anger, empowerment and love. I absolutely NEED to read the second book and know what happens, Brittany hands down such amazing writing and an excellent story!! I love Carrie and all of her strength and resilience from her horrible man of a father and as we are finding out her lying, manipulative, disgusting husband. This girl deserves true and full happiness and she has found it in the stone wall (but absolutely loving) bounty hunter of a man Joseph Greyson. I love his loyalty and the loyalty of all his men in red snake.
I do want to warn there are things in this book that are heavy and I really urge everyone to read the TW! The topics are heavy, the love is honest and steamy and the writing fantastic. Truthfully a 5/5 stars and I really need to listen to or read the second book asap! Thank you NetGalley and Tantor Audio for allowing me to listen and review this story honestly!

Catch Me When I Fall by Brittany Ann follows the story of our female main character Carrie who’s husband was brutally killed last year causing her mental health to spiral which led to her being placed in a mental health facility to rehabilitate however one night after meticulously preparing she manages to escape across the country to start over. A family friend hires infamous bounty hunter Grayson and tasks him with the mission and hunting and retrieving Carrie.

All in all I enjoyed this book and decided to request in because the blurb reads really well and the audiobook delivered. However I did find there were times when I did cringe at the dialogue and I’m not sure if that is down to the narration or the writing of the book itself and although I acknowledged it as it was happening I managed to ignore it and still enjoy the story.

I’m also unsure if I’m keen on insta love however these two might make me change my mind I wasn’t sure about whether or not I was going to read/listen to the next book in the duology however with the cliffhanger this ended I feel I may be invested enough to find out what happens next. Overall listening to this book was an enjoyable time and would recommend this to people but be sure to check the trigger warnings before doing so!

I wanted to read this book when it first came out but had listened to a few of Brittany Ann's other audiobooks that were great so I waited. The waiting was worth it. The narrators made this book.

This book is interconnected with another series. Since I had read the other books I think it made the book better. I knew exactly who Grayson was. One to be feared because he gets results. He did take one look at Carrie and knew she was it. Grayson never wanted to be in love. He broke all of his rules for her and just couldn't stay away. Carrie had no chance of not being Grayson's. You could feel it every time they where together.

I usually always go into books blind and never have issues until one is a cliffhanger.... Now I am waiting not so patiently for the next audiobook to come out.
My mouth was on the floor for several minutes after the audiobook was over because I couldn't quiet believe what I just heard.
Don't let the pretty pink cover full you. It is a roller-coaster of emotions.

Catch Me When I Fall by Brittany Ann follows Carrie, a woman desperately trying to escape her past and Grayson the bounty hunter sent to find her and bring her home.

This is my first book by the author and due to my inability to read the blurb of any book I completely went into this audiobook blind.

And boy do I not regret it.

While it took me a while to appreciate the male narrators voice for grayson, I can't deny that the duo did an excellent job in bringing both Carrie and Grayson's character to life. I spent a six hour bus ride listening to this audiobook and while I was thoroughly entertained I found myself cringing at certain aspects (But then again what's a good romance book without a few cringe scenes?)

This book was a much appreciated breath of fresh air and the cliffhanger at the end left me feeling both surprised and in desperate need of a book two. The only thing that would've made my reading experience better was if this was a duet but regardless I thoroughly enjoyed it all the same.

I will start out by saying I felt compelled to continue on to book 2, so it's not a terrible book I think it just didn't hit the mark on all points for me personally. I think the pacing was a little off for me, like it was too slow in some parts and too what the heck is happening right now in others. I think it is still a fun short read, and am looking forward to finding out what happens in book 2.

Omg I was not prepared to be left on a cliffhanger!! I was not ready. I didn't realize this was that kind of duet!!!

I love Grayson and Carrie so much! I was absolutely giddy over all of their interactions and how he immediately felt a little something something for her. Even before they met!

Carries past makes my heart ache for her! The poor girl has been through so much and I already know it's only the tip of iceberg.

Grayson is EVERYTHING. The man is OBSESSED and I liiiive for that.

The narration as always AMAZING when its done by Alex Kydd. Seriously pulls you into the story incredibly!! Penny Liu is a new voice for me but one ill definitely be looking for in the future!

I can not wait to dive into book 2 asap!!!

Carrie’s story starts after her heartbreaking year following her husband death. Family and friends are worried about her, so hire Grayson - A bounty hunter - to track her down. For me, Grayson came on a little bit strong somewhat making the reader feel like he knew her from the past which confused me a little.
I would’ve enjoyed a bit more of a background following her settling in period to her new town of Astoria. It felt a bit rushed.

There are lots of trigger warnings so please make sure you read them before diving into this romance book.

All in all I really enjoyed Carries personality and her views on body weight. The cliffhanger had me, I really didn’t see that coming. And 🌶️🌶️🌶️.

This is an excellent romantic (darkish) suspense. Well written, the author definitely gets you invested in the plot as well as the characters. I was on the edge of my seat the whole time. There's a huge twist at the end, along with the cliffhanger ending. I can't wait to read the next book!

Every time I read a Brittany Ann book I say it's my new favorite and this one is no exception! I received an ALC of this one and the narrators are exactly who I pictured Carrie and Grayson to be. I will immediately be diving into book 2!

I really enjoyed this audiobook. Alex Kydd is one of my favorite narrators and I liked Penny’s narration as well.

The story grabbed me from minute one and I just wanted to know everything that led to Carries escape. I loved seeing her built a new life for herself/her new beginning. I did however think it was a little too coincidental how she ended up with a job/house/best friend within a few days from arriving in a new town. 

This book is set in a larger universe and I did notice a few instances where I would have loved more background since I did read any other books set in the universe yet. However I think this duet can definitely be read whiteout having read other books by the author. 

The insta lust/love isn’t my favorite trope but i still enjoyed the couples connection. Carrie needs someone to love her like Grayson does.

I’m very much looking forward to part 2 of the duet especially after that cliffhanger. I need answers… a lot of them.

Wow, wow, wow!!!! First of all, I need to talk about the story itself. The horrors that Carrie went through I wouldn't wish on my worst enemy. The way she realises that she has been abused her whole life AFTERWARDS is just so, so sad but accurate. So often, we don't know what we're going through until we get through and look back and realise WOW I did that! That happened to me! And I survived this!
She starts a new life in a new place, finds new friends, and is finally, finally happy. And then she meets her bounty hunter, and he makes her heart race and skin crawl in the best possible ways. And Grayson? 🫠🫠🫠 Oh, he falls in love the second his eyes land on her. I loved their connection so much.

The narrators did a bang on job on this book. Penny expressed all the emotions I would expect from Carrie in the right places, and she was so adorable and Alex? Goddamn, the voice on that man 🥵🥵🥵 Apart from the intimate parts though, he was also bang on with Grayson's emotions and frustrations.
