I had so much fun with this romantic comedy read. I really loved the different characters in the book and found myself laughing out loud at certain scenes. This is a great book for the romance readers out there especially ones going on dates, because some of the dates in the book were hilarious.

This was such an enjoyable read. What an innovative idea too. I listen to the audio as well as physically reading it and would definitely recommend doing that! All of the women had something special to offer in terms of their character. I really warmed to them all and laughed out loud at so many moments. It was somewhat nostalgic in places making me think oh yes I’ve been in that dating situation myself and then at other times I was screaming at the page shouting oh my gosh I can’t believe that just happened. What a fun read. I would pick it up again in a heart beat.

Such a great concept, an app that you can check out prospective dates and any red flags.
I think we have all had a date we’d rather forget, mine was a guy picking me up saying ‘sorry I’m late I was watching a really interesting documentary on rhinoceros’ 😳 it just got worse from then on 😂
Anywhoo back to the book, it was hilarious, Ella, Katy and Zola are such good characters, I laughed, I felt the emotion. I will be recommending this book to my friends and will definitely be buying myself a hard copy to keep.
Apart from that it’s also a story of friendship and trying to find that love or happiness we all deserve.

Thank you to the publisher and Netgalley for the opportunity to read the first chapter of this book. Absolutely hilarious, will definitely be adding this to my list to read.

Ella, Katy, and Zola are done with Glasgow’s dating scene. From ghosting to catfishing to cringe-worthy Tinder messages, navigating love in today’s society has become an absolute nightmare! But when one of them is dumped by a guy who saw her as nothing more than a quick swipe, the trio decide to fight back and take matters into their own hands. Creating The Dicktionary Club - an exclusive, women-only website dedicated to exposing Scotland’s worst serial swipers with brutally honest reviews.
Their mission is to help women spot the red flags, dodge heartbreakers, and take back control of the dating scene. But as the site goes viral, so does the drama in their own love lives. And when one of them starts falling for a guy she’s been warning others to avoid, things get even messier and more complicated than ever.
I mean - how fun?! This book is girly, spicy, super fun and something a little different! It’s all over bookstagram at the moment and I couldn’t wait to read it, it’s so much fun and hilarious, especially the reference to ‘sticky Vicky’! I laughed so much!
⚠️ Sexual Language
⚠️ The C-bomb is dropped a lot throughout
So if you don’t mind the above - it’s a very entertaining read!

Wow wow wow 👌 what a read!!!! Thank you for letting me be a arc reader for this ama,ing book. I know the struggles with online dating it can be a absolute nightmare! But Sophie captures everything in the book and I bet women who are now dating online wishes something like this did exist. This book was funny which had my chuckling to myself. I loved the main character Ella, I dont want to spoil it so I won't but I guessed what I thought was going to happen but the twist at the end I didnt see that coming! Sophie is such a great author I love her writing style as she was easy to read unlike some books I struggle with, im definitely going to look into Sophies book more and read them.

Ok where did I even start with this book 😍 i knew the minute Sophie announced she was releasing another book it was going to be just as good as her last 4 books and boy she did not disappoint 🥰 I laughed, cried and shouted all the way through. I felt so connected to all 3 characters and felt a strong bond with them it was like I was reading my friends messages in this book 🙈
As a Scottish lass who stays just outside Glasgow i had a sense and feeling of being in the bars/clubs with the girls. The banter/ language is definitely my vibe and you can never say the C word too many times 😂😂 and the spice was just 🥵🥵🥵
If you haven't read this then get it on your TBR list ASAP!! you will not be disappointed 🍆🥰😍
I really hope @sophie realises more books she has definitely became my favourite author ❤️

Thank you so much for the early copy of this.
As a Scot, I loved reading a book set in Glasgow and reading all the Scottish slang. The concept of this was very good, I loved the story. The characters themselves were very good - there was clear banter between them and I had a lot of laugh out loud moments. I also loved the fact you had Katy who fell heads in over heels in love with every man she met, compared to the sceptical Ella and already locked in Lola. Each of them brought something different to the story and I loved that.
The thing that let down the book for me was that I felt there was no real chemistry between Ella and Philip. Whilst I liked his golden retriever vibes, I also felt he was very cheesy which didn't seem to match the persona portrayed early on. It was just a bit mashed. I also didn't love the ending with the whole secrets again regarding future steps for the website.
I also struggled with some of the “thoughts” of the characters, particularly Katy’s “thoughts” when one of her dates said he was bisexual. I felt the character's reaction was inappropriate and it gave me the ick a bit.
Overall, a fab romantic comedy that was easy to read.

Well, with a title like this, who could resist grabbing this right off those shelves!
This cover already had me looking as with its bright and bold design, it really does stand out well and even though this was my first read by this author, I couldn't wait to dive in!
I always go into books blind, so wasn't entirely sure what I was expecting from this, but right for the start, I was totally hooked!
There's been a lot of focus on online dating apps recently and so the whole premise of this one - designing a review site that helps women navigate all those pitfalls and stay safe - it really appealed to me.
Not sure how you feel about naming and shaming - this does that in bucket-loads and with some hilarious and unexpected results.
I loved our trio of main characters. Totally jaded by the dating world, we follow as each learns to navigate life and love in a way that creates a wonderful bond of friendship as well as taking back some of the power as they learn to stand up for themselves and take those steps to self-discovery.
This was such a fun read and I struggled to put it down.
With lots of laughs and banter - some hilarious stories and consequences - a bit of spice too - but amongst all the fun and frivolity, I found this quite a moving story that I'm sure will help others to navigate this wolrs themselves.
I have to say that I'm glad I don't have to ever deal with online dating - or dating of any kind now! I honestly would rather be single!
The writing style was perfect - easy to read and lots of fun - I read this out in the garden in the sun - nice for all those laugh out loud moments! - no judgement!
But I think this would also definitely make the perfect beach/holiday read too.
Can't wait to see more from this author soon.

Happy reading! 📚☀️

I absolutely adored this hilarious book about three friends trying to revolutionise online dating. After reading the blurb I just had to be a part of the tour for this book and I had an amazing time reading it. It was also really fun to be part of the group chat discussing the book and many of us could relate. I've personally never used an online dating site and I'm happily married, so the experiences described in the book were certainly eye opening!
I loved the friendship between the three women in this book; they are very open with each other and it seems nothing is off limits when it comes to sharing, or oversharing, what's happening in their sex lives. I loved the back and forth between the three of them, and despite their teasing it's obvious that they would do anything for each other. Each of them are at very different stages when it comes to Romance; Zola is engaged to her long term partner Curtis, Ella is staunchly single, and Katy is a hopeless romantic that falls for men far too quickly.
Katy's most recent dumping gives the girls the idea to start The Dicktionary Club, a site where women can review their dates and hopefully prevent other women from wasting their time and affections on the wrong men. If successful the site could also prove to be a way out of their current jobs, as their boss Andrea makes their lives hell every day in the office.
In order to get the site up and running Katy and Ella have to go on a lot of dates and some of them were incredibly cringy but had me in stitches! One in particular caused Ella to just up and leave and I was giggling throughout, although it wasn't a great experience for poor Ella. One of Katy's dates causes her to have an 'awakening' which was another particular highlight for me; I was laughing and cringing in equal measure.
This was such a fun read and I'm so happy I took part! It was a different take on the genre and I'd say it was probably a Romantic Comedy that would make a brilliant series for tv. I'm sure a lot of women (and maybe some men) could relate to some of the experiences of navigating the minefield of online dating. It's definitely one of my favourite reads so far this year.

Just finished this book and I need to talk about it. Three women are totally fed up with the nightmare that is modern dating — we’re talking ghosting, catfishing, cringe messages, the works. So they decide to take matters into their own hands and launch a website calling out Scotland’s worst serial swipers. It’s savage, it’s honest, and it completely spirals.
The concept is genius and the story delivers. Each chapter switches between the three women, and they all have such strong, different personalities — it never gets boring. The drama builds fast, the dates are wild, and it had me laughing out loud more than once.
It’s one of those books you can tear through in a weekend. Super fast-paced, light-hearted, and just chaotic in the most entertaining way. The romance? Surprisingly sweet, with just the right amount of heat — never awkward, never forced. And yes, there’s one guy who will have you melting.
By the end, I was full-on grinning. It wraps up in the most satisfying way and honestly? I’m crossing my fingers for a sequel. If you want a fun, feel-good read with serious girl gang energy, this is the one.

The title, blurb and cover all appealed to me here. I thought it stands out as something different and I was not disappointed! I have never dealt with dating apps (thankfully!) but, from what my friends who have been on dating apps have to say about them, I think the book represents that side of things very well!
This was a fun, original read! I really liked the friendships of the main female characters.

This is a laugh-out-loud rom-com set in Glasgow, and anything set in my home country gets the thumbs up from me! I love the Glasgow references, and language (us Scots love a sweary ok!) and I absolutely loved this book!
I could totally see this being a fun TV show or film. As a book though, it was great. I read it in a couple of sittings in just over 24hours, I just didn't want to stop reading!
I thought the friendship between Ella, Katy and Zola was so beautiful, true besties, the kind that become more your family than blood relatives. They advocated for themselves, and each other. They supported each other's endeavours and pushed when they knew their friends needed it. Friendship was absolutely the heart of this story.
The actual Dicktionary Club was only a small part of this tale, but an important one. Online dating sounds really tough, and while this tale gave us some very funny to read experiences, the truth is many people are genuinely trying to date in this way and can be hugely affected by some of the behaviours we were able to experience through this read. I can absolutely see, therefore, why website like the Dicktionary Club could be an attractive premise to daters. I liked that they girls discussed all sides of it, and ultimately made the decisions that they did. Reading some of the exploits here made me glad I have been in a relationship for as long as I have and makes me hope my husband never leaves me because I absolutely could not dip my toes into that world!
There's a handful of spicy scenes, I would have loved more, as this author writes them well, but it was also good not to have that side take over the important nature of the story. The language however is definitely high on the naughty gauge so if you are easily offended then this is not for you, luckily for me effing and jeffing is second nature to me!
The last chapter gives me hope that there may be more to come from these women, and the Dicktionary club, and I would absolutely love to see that happen. However if this is a one and done, I am also completely satisfied with how their stories wrapped up.
I think this is the perfect read for your summer holidays, with humour, wit, and warmth galore. I LOVED the book and can't wait for more from this author.

Thank you to both NetGalley & Sophie for allowing me to be an ARC reader for the dictionary club!
I absolutely LOVED this book and the whole time I was like this could actually be a really successful Netflix or paramount series! It’s hysterical, heartwarming and emotional.
This is such a good palette cleanser and it’s so relatable! I absolutely was howling the whole way through. Sophie Gravia really hits the nail on the end when it comes to dating and the dating scene especially in Glasgow and surrounding areas! 🤣
The friendship with Ella, Zola and Katy was beautiful and reminded me of the friendship I had with my girls! They were real and well developed characters. These girls made me howl with the tinder trauma and the idea of the dicktionary club was brilliant! And to even know that the dating stories are based on real stories gives me that extra giggle.
This book gives you spice, filth, female empowerment, chaos, drama and trauma and gives you raw honesty around the modern world of dating.
I absolutely belly laughed from start to finish and really felt like I was apart of the sisterhood.
And can I say I hope all us single ladies find out Philip one day because he was an angel throughout all of this and I really adored his character and the development of his character.
I highly recommend you read this!

If you’ve ever wanted to rate a man like a takeaway... This one’s for you.
The Dicktionary Club by Sophie Gravia is modern dating chaos at its finest, think red flag revenge meets girl gang empowerment. 👯♀️
Three Glasgow women. One website. Endless cringe-worthy exes. And a mission to call them all out.
But when one of the girls starts falling for someone she definitely warned others about... things get juicy. Like, slow-burn, laugh-out-loud, possibly-break-your-group-chat kind of juicy. 💅
✨ This book:
✅ Hysterical
✅ Heartfelt
✅ Hot enough to need a cold pint and a group debrief
I devoured it. Think Fleabag meets Sex and the City, with added Scottish spice.
📚 Add to your TBR if you love:

I absolutely loved this new book from Sophie! ❤️ It’s very funny, witty and emotionally capturing. I could not put this book down, I just ended up diving myself into the story. As a person who has used Tinder before when I was dating in my early 20s, I can definitely relate to Katy and what the other characters were going through. It was for sure so hard to find the right guy because some don’t meet the needs but I loved the idea of The Dicktionary Club, that was honestly very smart and it for sure would make it so much easier when it comes to dating. Wish we have this in the real world!
It was nice to read the different POVs of the three characters and I could feel myself attached to them. I really sympathised with all three of them. It was so cute to see the interaction between Ella and Philip. I’d get why Ella was so hesitant and so guarded up with herself about ever dating again but Philip definitely has changed that for her. Philip may be viewed as the typical rich guy but he’s shown Ella that he’s not like that. I really think they are perfect for each other.
Also, the friendship the three girls have is amazing! I loved seeing how supportive of each other they are and the bond they have, honestly the cutest trio ever!
I for sure would recommend this for everyone to read!

When 3 Glasgow girls are sick of dating with the catfishing and cringey messages they make a stand. Introducing the dicktionary club an app for women only exposing the rats on tinder and round the area. Allowing women to be forewarned of Scotlands biggest dating rats.
Laugh out loud book which keeps you on your toes.

Firstly, thank you to NetGalley and Bonnie Books for a copy of the arc for this book!
When I saw this on social media I knew I had to read it - the plot and the concept sounded incredible! And as a single girl who had recently dabbled in the internet dating scene (and come out of it traumatised) I thought this book would be right up my street. And it was to a certain regard.
I loved the three main characters and their personalities because they so likened to me and my friends and our dynamic. Especially Katy, that’s my best friend to a T. And I loved the general story and flew through the end to find out what happened to the group.
The only downside, and reason for the 3 stars for me, is how almost inappropriate it felt. I’m a Geordie gal who has been through some stuff when it comes to dating but even this made me feel like a bit of a prude and make me feel awkward at points. There’s only so many c**ts you can see in one chapter before you’re like ‘ok hen, calm down’.
It’s the kind of book I’d love to gift my friends and let them read but at the same time I don’t even know how they’d take it. There’s probably one friend who would love it (my Katy) thank goodness so I’d definitely purchase it for her if she wanted a book to read but I can’t say it’s the type of book I’d pass on to other friends or choose for book club
That being said, if you’re alright with a lot of swearing and anger towards men - then 100% grab this book because it is a good story!
