Cyber Blues is timely and engaging read; centered around three friends navigating a cyber and AI world. What begins as an innocent share turns into an experience with cyberbullying, and the story provides thoughtful guidance on how to respond, practice self-care, and stay safe online.

This book does a great job introducing young readers to the realities of internet interaction without fear-mongering. I especially appreciated the representation, brown kids with vibrant personalities, modeling good friendship.

The honest approach to new technology was refreshing as well. Rather than pretending AI and digital spaces aren’t real or relevant, the story embraces them and equips readers with tools to handle them wisely.

This book is ideal for young readers and a worthwhile refresher for adults, too.

These little robots live in a cyber world, and encounter mean comments on social media. The robots teach little readers about how to handle cyber bullying and remind you not to read the comments.

I am not sure what the target audience is for this book. It appears to be a series of robots in an AI/Cyber world going through various experiences relevant to this space… but the book is written and illustrated for a young audience that isn’t using social media, and likely isn’t able to read the mean comments if their parents are posting on their behalf. An older target audience would’ve been more appropriate for this topic - late elementary or early middle school.

Loved the characters though! We’d love to see more of AROC!

Thank you to NetGalley for the ARC in exchange for an honest review.

This was just.. odd. Even my robot/alien/youtube/minecraft loving 6 year old couldn’t get into it. It sounds robotic.

This book painted a very clear picture about cyber bullies, how to handle it and to step away from social media to get the mental break that is very much needed!
I read it to my 6 year old son and he said "I had bullies in school, I didn't know there were bullies in the computers too. How sad, but at least the friends stick together."

Robots, real feelings, and one powerful anti-bullying message.

Cyber Blues is a super-charged, robot-powered reminder that kindness counts—even in the digital world—and it turns out dominoes and empathy make a pretty epic combo.

This book conveys an important message and does get its point across- cyberbullying is mean and it isn’t ok. It also addresses ways we can handle it if it occurs. However, I feel like the writing felt clunky and at times didn’t use the right verbs or was missing them all together.
