This self help book is targeted to those hoping to improve confidence and other barriers to being their best public seeking self.
The book has more of a Christian edge than I had expected, also it benefits from the author sharing their own story as to how they found their best voice.
With chapters such as:
‘Finding your unique voice’, ‘conquering public speaking anxiety’ and ‘Professional Vocal Training Techniques’ it is diverse and considers how we can overcome barriers in a holistic all encompassing way.
‘Learning from great speakers’ is an inspiring chapter, while ‘overcoming trauma in public speaking’ takes an empathic and supportive stance.
This review barely scratches the surface of the epic content of this book - there really is so much in there! Lots of practical tips are my main take away from this book.
My thanks to NetGalley, author and publisher for the opportunity to review this book in exchange for an advance copy.

Release Your Voice: Speak with Power is one of those books that doesn’t just talk about change—it gives you the tools to make it happen. With clear steps and relatable advice, it helped me rethink how I use my voice—not just physically, but emotionally and mentally, too. I especially appreciated the practical breathing and resonance exercises, which I actually started using in my work meetings. What I liked most was how encouraging the tone was—it felt like having a personal coach in book form.

Okay, full disclosure: I didn’t think a book could make me sound like Beyoncé giving a TED Talk—but here we are! Release Your Voice is like a vocal glow-up in paperback form. It’s sassy, smart, and seriously makes you wanna stand taller and speak louder (in a good way). I’ve been practicing in the shower and I swear even my shampoo bottles are impressed. 😂 This one’s a must if your voice ever gets shaky when it matters most. Grab it and go get heard! 🎤✨
