Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for the ADORABLE Halloween read. This was just super cute, and the artwork was so good. I also liked how it was rhyming and sounded like a Dr. Seuss book with the verses. It's also just SO cute with the Spoops and the message it has about Halloween.

A really fun and cute Halloween book. The story is great - I loved the Spoops!
It is such a great seasonal book - the kids will love it.
Thank you to NetGalley for the e-arc.

'Spoops: The Little Spirits of Halloween' is a warm, whimsical treat for young readers and Halloween lovers of all ages. LoCascio and Conley weave rhymes and charming imagery to tell a story about celebration, imagination, and the true spirit behind the jack-o’-lantern. The Spoops are delightful little beings, and Holly’s heart (wanting to be seen) is the kind of kid-core I love. More than candy or tricks, this book reminds us how Halloween is about creativity, magic, and being unapologetically yourself. This lovely tale blends Dr. Seuss and Peter Pan on All Hallow's Eve.

This is so cute and a great read for kids for Halloween - especially kids who love Halloween!
The art in this book is so good and so adorable. As someone who LOVES Halloween, I had a great time reading this and can't wait to read it to my nieces in October. The idea that the season/holiday also loves you back is so heartwarming. On a deeper note, I think for kids that have a specific interest that their parents/loved ones don't understand can be isolating and make kids feel lonely, even if the adults try to take interest. The idea that there are other people and magical things out there that have the same interests is heartwarming. I think this book would have made me feel less alone as a kid. Also, there is a happy ending as all kids books should have.
I did side eye and judge the parents throughout the whole book but I think that's my adult brain.
I highly recommend.
Thank you IDW Publishing | Top Shelf Productions for providing this book for review consideration via NetGalley. All opinions are my own.

This is a cute little Halloween graphic novel. It is beautifully illustrated and has a great story line. It is very magical and spiritually charged as far has the Halloween spirits (called spoops in the book) if that’s what you like then this is great for you!

Could this book BE any cuter?! I love it! I wish I had this book when I was little. It’s like a spooky little sweet adorable dr seuss book. I love the rhymes. I love the Halloween overload. I love the adorable little spoops. I want some spoops to live with me and my cats 🥹 I highly recommend this one to literally anyone of any age who likes Halloween and cute stuff.

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
This is a great spooky season graphic novel. This book will be very fun for kids to read to get into the Halloween spirit. I really enjoyed this book.

I was not able to view this prior to archive. I therefore did not provide reviews on any sites. Thank you for the opportunity.

sometimes I just request things on netgalley because it looks like a cute graphic novel and this was sort of the circumstance here. this is more of a picture book/chapter book with pictures than it is a graphic novel. it's definitely towards young kids, I'd say elementary level age like 6-10.
It is a cute story about this little Halloween spoops that come to save a little girls halloween

Spoops is an adorable seasonal picture book, perfect for the spooky season . The story is sweet and charming, with stunning, whimsical illustrations that bring a sense of wonder and put you in the autumn mood. A perfect addition to any young reader's shelf this Halloween!

Spoops was absolutely adorable. The artwork is stunning and makes my Halloween loving heart sing. I would have adored this book as a child, I can picture my younger self reading this book time and time again at any time of year.
This will be the perfect Halloween gift to buy for my niece and nephew.

Holly Hollowell loves Halloween, even though her dentist parents aren’t fans of the spooky season. One Halloween night, she’s visited by Spoops, and with their help, she might succeed in showing her parents that Halloween is about more than just cavities! The use of orange and black creates a fun, spooky Halloween vibe that perfectly sets the mood for the story. The Spoops are a mix of spooky and cute, making them all the more charming without being frightening for young readers. The rhyming style is lyrical and playful, though it can feel a bit overwhelming at times. It would have been nice to learn a little more about the lore or origins of the Spoops. Overall, it’s a pretty charming book to enjoy during the spooky holiday!

This was a delightful read. I smiled the entire time. The story is great and the illustrations are charming and sweet.
Holly loves all things spooky, especially Halloween.. Unfortunately for her, both of her parents are dentists and there is no Halloween in their house.
On Halloween, she makes a wish on a pumpkin and little Halloween spirits, called Spoops, come to the rescue.
Quick read, beautifully written. Highly recommend. I am an adult, but I will be buying a physical version, immediately.

I loved this book so much! The illustrations were beautiful and the story in verse was so well done. This would be a great book to read as a family. It has wonderful Halloween nostalgia and a spunky kid who gets to participate in the magic.

Oh my goodness, what a cute story! The spoops are absolutely adorable, and the story format is done so perfectly (it's almost Seuss-esque). It's an ode to all the magic that Halloween entails. Anyone who loves Halloween will love this book.

This was super cute in the spookiest kinda way. I loves the style of the illustrations and thoroughly enjoyed this quirky read!

Spoops: The Little Spirits of Halloween features art and a sequence of events that are perfect for becoming a beloved title. A read that takes readers to their most personal Halloween.
Thanks to NetGalley and publisher for this advanced reader's copy.

I really wanted to like this book. The artwork is fantastic. It feels old, but it also feels classic. Also the limited use of color works extremely well. That is about the only thing to like. You have a little girl who’s in love with Halloween, but her parents hate it because they’re dentists and it’s bad for you and for your teeth and your hygiene. This is such an old unfounded trope. Then add to it that the author tried to rhyme everything. The rhymes are mostly OK. However, there is no cadence and no flow. It also extends the length of this story way above and beyond. It’s twice the length of a normal picture book, but not quite the length of a chapter book. And there are no chapters. I really wish the author had just written the story instead of everything they’ve gone into it. For this, it’s the illustrator that does all the heavy lifting and if I could buy the illustrations with the different story, I wouldn’t a heartbeat, but this book is staying at the store.

The Spoops have my heart. This is *the* Halloween Picture Book I have wanted since childhood. The nostalgic art style scratches an itch in my brain and the story is so sweet and satisfying.
Halloween is so much more than just the candy and the spoops will help you figure this out. The Grim Reaper Spoop was a personal favourite

This book gave such nostalgic Halloween vibes for me. I felt it was so cute with the aspects of Halloween it focused on, the fun and the whimsy of it all. I would highly recommend this book to kids!
