This is my first book by this author and I actually really enjoyed it. It had the perfect whodunnit feel to it that I really enjoy.
Here we have Madeline and Tyler the parents who are really excited about their 14 year old daughter Charlie’s birthday but things don’t go as planned when a dead body show up on their doorstep. No one knows what happened and how it happened. Madeline and Tyler both have things they don’t wanna reveal anything and they are not what they seem like.
When the investigation keeps them on their toes Madeline will do anything to hold her family together. It has lots of twist and turns and lots of drama that I liked. Highly recommend.
Thank you NetGalley and Storm Publishing for kindly providing me with this eARC.

This book was a whole entire mess and I loved every bit of it I thank you so much for allowing me this early read I will recommend

This starts off with a bang, with a dead body at a party, but I found it slow going at first. There are a lot of characters to meet and you start out in the dark, plot-wise. But once it got going, it was addictive! The short chapters and rotating POVs made it perfect for picking up in free moments and the “just one more” feeling kept me turning pages. It was a great book to carry around and sneak more chapters every chance I got. I couldn’t wait to find out what happened.

This family seems perfect from the outside but on the inside, it's far from perfect. While Who Did I Marry by Sara Pucci has an intriguing premise, the unlikable characters made it difficult to get emotionally invested in the story. The plot had potential, but without someone to root for, it fell a bit flat for me. Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for this advance copy in exchange for my honest review.

3.5 stars rounded up to 4!
This book definitely kept me guessing every chapter and changing my mind about who the true culprit was throughout! I love a book with different POVs and this one had the perfect number...I also loved the inclusion of the journal. My 2 dislikes were that I never found any of characters likable/worthy of me rooting for them and I felt the ending was a bit rushed. Overall, I really enjoyed the book and finished it in less than 24 hours!

First, I want to thank NetGalley, Storm Publishing, and the author, Sara Pucci, for the opportunity to review an early copy of this book.
I love a good thriller/mystery, and this might be one of my favorite reads of the year. I especially enjoyed the multiple points of view. It really allowed me to immerse myself in each character's perspective and made the story even more compelling. I also love when books incorporate communication through text messages between characters; it adds a layer of realism that pulls me in even more.
This book has twists—the kind that genuinely surprised me. I definitely gasped more than once! Each character processes the unfolding events differently, and that variety made me reflect on how our actions can deeply affect others, especially, those we might not expect. It’s also a powerful reminder that some emotional wounds may still be very much present. We tend to put band aids to those but that at the end, they will continue to hurt us and hurt those around us. Another takeaway from this book was that you never truly know someone. We all carry secrets; we’re all boxes full of surprises.
I liked the writing style and the length of the book. It was very engaging to the point I needed to know what the outcome was so I ended up reading it the same day I got it. The only reason I’m not giving it a full five stars is that a few characters were left hanging, and I was left with some unanswered questions. That said, if you’re looking for a fast-paced, fun, twisty read, this one is definitely recommended!

I’m really sorry, I don’t like giving negative reviews but there wasn’t one thing I enjoyed about this book. All the characters were dreadful, the plot was totally unbelievable, and I couldn’t finish it quick enough. I’ve given it two stars instead of the one I felt it deserved because the writing wasn’t bad. Thanks to the publishers and NetGalley, and I’m sorry again that I can’t find anything positive to say.

Thank you Storm Publishing and #Netgalley for the eArc in exchange for my review of 'Who Did I Marry?" by Sara Pucci.
A dead body is found at Charlie's 14th birthday party outside. Throughout the book, it is a "who done it" scenario that you think you have figured all out, but I assure you, you do not. Masterfully written, the plot is great and the characters are even better. They were all full of personality and very different.
I can honestly say, I was turning the pages as fast as I could from the very beginning! A gripping, psychological thriller, I could not put this book down, making it a quick read. I can't wait to read her next masterpiece. I highly recommend. 4.5 stars!!

Story is told from the POV of Madeline, Sadie, Detective Rynn, and Tyler
Tyler and Madeline Johnson have a daughter Charlie and have been married for fifteen years – they live in a beautiful 8,000 square foot townhouse – in fact their live-in maid Sadie has her own quarters.
Tyler is very successful CEO and works long hours.
Madeline has been busy preparing for Charlie’s Fourteen Birthday party -Their home looks perfect and the decorations are the right touch for the party.
Charlie friends are in the pool and although Charlie has on her party dress it is no surprise that she is thrown into the pool. After the cake is cuts Madeline goes back into the house and hears a noise at the front of the house. She finds a man on the porch with red on his shirt.
Needless to say, the party is over and the house is a crime scene.
Tyler comes home from the office as the police are surrounding his home. He is numb and cannot speak. The police believe he is on something so take him to the station for questioning. It turns out the man is a colleague named Daniel and it appears has been dead for at least 24 hours.
The Johnson’s are busy trying to settle Grandmother’s estate when it is revealed that Tyler’s father had a son from an affair. Tyler’s had a half-brother. Yes ‘had’ as he was found dead. Tyler is accused of his murder - if the half-brother had been revealed Tyler would only earn half of the inheritance- thus giving a reason to hide knowledge of him.
Wow! It was hard to keep up with these characters. They were liars and it seems everyone has a secret.
The characters were unlikeable but I had to read on and find out what in the world was really going on.
The ending was a wild ride.
Thank you NetGalley and Storm Publishing for granting me this great me this crazy ride!
Publishing Release Date scheduled for May 28, 2025.

I really enjoyed this psychological thriller based around a family with secrets. At the daughters birthday a dead body appears on the porch , but who is it and why is it on their porch. The plot deepens which keeps you guessing throughout. A fast paced thriller that’s a one sit read. A thrilling 5 star read. Thanks to Netgalley and the publishers for a copy.

Madeline had a difficult childhood. She meet Tyler at nineteen, they married and had a daughter Charlie. Madeline would do anything for Charlie to believe that she is a good mother. I enjoyed this book from start to finish. I loved all the twists and turns and did not want the book to finish.

Tagged as an addictive psychological thriller, I'm afraid it didn't live up to that for me. Madeline and Tyler are throwing a birthday party for their daughter which Tyler doesn't turn up to but a dead body does! We are introduced to the different characters including Tyler's family, the maid Sadie and Madeline's friend Rose who are all implicated at different stages of the story. There is some very odd behaviour from many of them, some of which leads you to believe they are more involved. Tyler and Madeline are as unlikeable as each other, with their seemingly perfect marriage which is anything but. The plot just didn't entertain me and was very forgettable.
Thanks to Storm and NetGalley for the ARC in exchange for an honest review.

2.75/5 rounded up.
I really just couldn't get myself to care about anything that was happening in this book and I think that was because of these characters.
I understand that unlikable characters are a thing and a plot device and entertaining and blah blah blah, but they have to be entertaining. I need to want to read about them even though they suck, they have to have some quality that captures the reader's attention. These characters didn't really have any redeeming qualities, so I don't even know if they are purposely unlikable or if that just accidentally happened. They're all just liars and manipulators and so annoying. And everyone is so dramatic when it comes to dealing with situations.
These characters being so unlikable just made me annoyed, wanting the book to be over sooner.
The pacing and general premise of this book was pretty good though (but I am a character-driven reader, so it was rough). This story starts out at a child's birthday party where a dead body shows up. The drama! The horror! The shock! And so, that dead body needs an explanation.
We've got a family that seems perfect from the outside, but is a mess on the inside. And, of course, we have children suffering because of that mess.
Thanks to NetGalley for the e-ARC of this book in exchange for my honest review! My Goodreads review is up and my TikTok (Zoe_Lipman) review will be up at the end of the month with my monthly reading wrap-up.

"Who Did I Marry" by Sara Pucci is a gripping psychological thriller that had me hooked from the very first page. The author masterfully crafts deep, complex characters whose intertwined lives create a web of intrigue and suspense. The story is packed with unexpected twists and turns, constantly keeping me on edge. Just when I thought I had it all figured out, Pucci threw in another surprise. It's a compelling read, and I’ll definitely be looking out for more of her work.

Thank you, Sara Pucci, Storm Publishing and Netgalley for this ARC opportunity.
Madeline and Tyler have a life most couples strive, beautiful and a sweet daughter but things take a turn when a dead body is found on their lawn during their daughter's 14th birthday party.
Detective Rynn suspects something is amiss as the investigation unfolds.
Madeline and Tyler are not who they seem to be and detective Rynn suspects that there may be some secrets lurking within their home.
This is a well written psychological thriller.
The complex characters and the secrets they harbor creates depth to this toxic relationship.
This novel is filled with tension and suspense.
If you love psychological thrillers, then this is most definitely for you.

It was a perfect day for Charlie’s fourteenth birthday party. The exquisite townhouse where she lived was filled with birthday decorations that teens can only dream of, topped off by a beautiful three-tier birthday cake.
And then a dead body was found on the beautiful grounds that surrounded the party.
Charlie’s father, Tyler, was an immediate suspect, but he had been out late the night before and couldn’t remember anything. Detective Rynn immediately suspected that something strange was going on amongst the family, and she wasn’t far from wrong.
Charlie’s mother would fight to the bitter end to protect her daughter from the lies that rocked their home, even though the truth would destroy their entire lives.

Sara Pucci’s Who Did I Marry? is a dark, twist-filled psychological thriller that grabs hold early and refuses to let go. Set against the backdrop of what should have been a picture-perfect birthday party, the novel expertly unravels the façade of a seemingly successful family, exposing the rot beneath the surface. For fans of domestic thrillers with unreliable characters and morally murky choices, this debut delivers.
The story kicks off with a jarring discovery—a corpse on the front lawn during the 14th birthday party of Charlie, daughter of Madeline and Tyler. What should’ve been a celebration quickly spirals into a nightmare as secrets unravel and the family’s carefully curated image begins to crack. Tyler insists he doesn’t remember anything from that morning, and Madeline is torn between protecting her daughter and uncovering the truth about the man she married.
What sets Who Did I Marry? apart is its use of multiple points of view and timelines. We hear not just from Madeline and Tyler, but also from Charlie, Detective Rynn, and others close to the family. These shifting perspectives keep the reader constantly reassessing what they think they know. The pacing is tight, and Pucci smartly plants suspicion on nearly every character—best friend Rose, maid Sadie, even Charlie herself—without it ever feeling overdone.
The characters here aren’t necessarily likable—and that’s a strength. Everyone is flawed, selfish, and reactive, making their unraveling both believable and compelling. Madeline, in particular, walks a fine line between victim and villain, and her decisions grow more desperate as the story unfolds. At times, her actions veer toward the extreme, but that only raises the stakes and heightens the suspense.
Pucci’s writing is clean, atmospheric, and cinematic. She understands how to maintain tension and withhold just enough information to keep you guessing. The twists aren’t just thrown in for shock value—they’re rooted in character and backstory. And while the story is intense, it’s never bogged down by unnecessary subplots or filler.
By the time the final reveal lands—along with a killer epilogue—it’s clear Pucci knows how to play the long game. The ending is not just satisfying, it’s earned.
Final Thoughts:
Who Did I Marry? is an impressive debut that blends family drama with psychological suspense, wrapped in a sleek, modern mystery. It’s bingeable, addictive, and dripping with tension. If you’re into books like The Couple Next Door, Behind Closed Doors, or anything by Lisa Jewell, add this one to your list.
Rating: 4.5 out of 5 stars

Goodness me, this was such a good book. Highly entertaining. Would definitely recommend to others, that's for sure!

I'm not sure there was a single likeable character in this book.
Which was good.
I wanted them all to be guilty so I could see them fall.
Seriously though, for a fairly small cast of characters, their lives were mingled in the most unexpected ways.
Good pacing, and some nice twists made it a good read.

I really enjoyed this whodunit psychological thriller packed with family secrets, and twists you won’t see coming.
Fast paced and entertaining, I kept guessing until the end.
Thank you so much Storm Publishing, and Sara Pucci for the eARC via NetGalley in exchange for my honest review.
