The Dangerous Pet Lover’s Guide to Dragons is a brilliant book.

From the start to the end Lindsay Hirst has created a gem for young readers or those who just enjoying sharing a book .This is a wonderful step by step guide to having a dragon as a pet- full of comedy and fantastical facts for all dragon lovers - highlighting the pros and cons of these mischievous creatures

Alice McKinley’s illustrations are full of colour and comedy.

As some one who has worked with key stage 1 learners and teachers, this book will be a welcome addition to books about Dragons- perfect for a class read and an ideal book to use with fun writing opportunities for emerging and developing young writers ( I could think of dozens of ways to use the book )

But most of all this is great, fun bedtime / share at home laugh out loud book

Now go buy a dragon as a pet - you’ve been warned 😊

Highly recommended for 2-6 year olds

I read this book with my 6 year old dragon loving boy, he adored it from start to finish. It's also a great read for adults! I am happy to reread this over and over as it was so enjoyable.

The illustrations truly bring the book to life with the perfect guide to how to treat and care for dangerous pets - dragons in this case. It discussed the different dragon types, sizes, where to get them from and then how to look after and keep them happy.. It was sweet and charming and full of good advice.

My little one was chuckling about the little side notes about dragon farts and eating habits.

We eagerly await more from this series
