So let me just say this, when I started the Castlecove boys series , I hated Owen he was a blimp kinda character. Didn't like him much. In Jacob I most definitely hated him , called him what not names. Ugh just hated him. Period
But now comes his redemption story and Owen ,Owen fucking gets his damm redemption story alright.
This man he is so misunderstood, pushed aside , done things cause he was told not cause he wants to. Approval from his parents feeling unloved. Oh god. This one made me cry so much.
Enter Jade , she is just well those unnamed ,unknown puzzle pieces is what Jade is and the perfect fit for Owen.
Also we have our sweet lil nugget Poppy who is just the ray of sunshine that Owen has in his wallowing days.
This story has the sexy times, angst ,love and fun. With loads of family suspense and hatred. I devoured this book in a day missing out on my sleep for the night.
Nothing could prepare me for how much I love and loved Owen. Amazing and beautiful story.
You gotta read for all the happenings of Jade's career which I must say is so fucking bloody brilliant.
Read read read and you will fall in love with Owen!!

Owen is the redemption story i didn't know I needed
Runaway groom + #instalove + single badass mom
With a strong writing and story, and a healthy amount of laughter and spice, this book surprised me.
and we KNOW VH Nicolson NEVER disappoints
Thank you Boldwoodbooks for this ARC opportunity 🙏🏻

Boldwood, I am on my knees thanking you for the eARC. This was so fucking cute, the way Owen fell hard and fast was the absolute cutest thing ever. The way he took care of Jade and Poppy (the NICKNAMES?!) Ugh
Be still my heart.
This was such a good read and I love the happy ending that Owen got. He more than deserved it.

Owen is an emotional and steamy romance that starts with a runaway groom and ends in love. Owen walks away from an arranged marriage and the pressure of his wealthy family, looking for a fresh start. He ends up staying with his cousin, where he meets Jade, a strong, independent single mom and skilled pilot.
Jade is focused on her career and raising her adorable daughter, Poppy. She doesn’t expect Owen to walk into her life, but their chemistry is instant. I loved watching their relationship grow from strangers to lovers, with touching moments, funny scenes, and plenty of steam.
Owen’s bond with Poppy was especially heartwarming.
This story is about second chances, healing from the past, and finding love when you least expect it. It’s well written and engaging with just the right mix of romance and emotion.
Very grateful to the publisher for my copy through NetGalley, opinions are my own

🌟🌟🌟🌟
Yes Owen, we love a redemption story! I loved the mix of emotional depth and steamy romance. Owen’s journey—from runaway groom to finding purpose and love with Jade—was heartfelt and really well done. Jade is strong, grounded, and the perfect match for him.
If you love strangers-to-lovers, single mom romance, and a hero trying to rebuild his life, Owen is definitely worth the read.
Thank you Boldwood Books and NetGalley for the gifted copy 💕

Owen by V.H. Nicolson is a vibrant and seductive romance that blends emotional depth with sizzling chemistry. At its heart is Owen—a kind, gentle soul caught in the chaos of a dysfunctional family and searching for purpose beyond the shadow of his upbringing. His journey toward self-discovery takes a sharp, passionate turn when he meets Jade, a fiercely independent woman whose only certainty in life is her love of flying.
Nicolson excels at crafting characters who feel real and emotionally layered, each carrying their own burdens and insecurities. The dynamic between Owen and Jade is electric, fueled by both vulnerability and desire. Their romance unfolds with a perfect balance of tension, spice, and heartfelt moments, creating a narrative that’s as emotionally engaging as it is steamy.
With an entertaining plot and richly drawn leads, Owen is a compelling addition to the series—one that keeps the reader fully immersed from start to finish. It’s a sexy, heartfelt escape that promises more excitement to come in future installments.

Owen is part of the Billionaire Boys series and is the story of Owen and Jade. Owen works for his family’s business and made it his life’s mission to attempt to please his parents. But the moment he’s facing his arranged bride at the altar, he knows he can’t do it anymore and needs to run. He runs to his cousin and decides to stay with him until he figures out what to do next. He then meets Jade, his cousin’s boss. Jade is a single parent and a very accomplished pilot. She’s tired of guys who won’t cut it in her hectic life. With a small child and a career that she loves, she’s trying to make having it all work. She didn’t expect Owen and he certainly didn’t expect her. This story was adorable and heartfelt. Owen and Jade have instant and sparkling chemistry that lights up like fireworks. The story is well written, creative, refreshing, and interesting. It’s a true tale of finding love when you least expect it and life throwing curve balls at you. It was refreshing to see how well Owen interacted with Jade’s child and the sort of role reversal of the man without a job and them rescuing each other. A great read!

It’s been a while since I’ve read a “rich boy” romance, and Owen offered a slightly different take on the trope. Instead of flaunting his wealth, Owen feels conflicted about it—more “I’m rich but ashamed of it and don’t mind living simply”—which gave the story a quieter, more introspective vibe than I expected. I didn’t fall for either of the main characters, Owen or Jade, right away. But as the story progressed, I found myself warming up to them. The deeper we got into their lives, the more fully realized they became, and it felt like the author hit their stride about a third of the way in.
The “love at first sight/soulmates” angle isn’t usually my thing, and that element is definitely strong here. If you’re into fated love stories, this one will hit the right notes. For me, it took some suspension of disbelief, but I still appreciated the emotional depth and sincerity in their connection.
The pacing is on the slower side—more of a steady simmer than a whirlwind romance. That said, there’s a dramatic twist around the 80% mark that adds some tension and stakes, which helped pick up the momentum heading into the final chapters.
Overall, this is a quiet, character-driven romance with soulmate vibes and a low-angst atmosphere (until the end). If you’re looking for a billionaire romance that’s more introspective than flashy, this one might surprise you—in a good way.
I would give this a solid 3.5 stars!

I am so sad that this is the last book in series. Lincoln and Jacob were already so good so I knew Owen would be amazing. I loved watching his character growth throughout the series. Jade was such a badass FMC and was Owen's perfect match. I love that they were older so the relationship felt mature and the issues they faced were realistic. Truly a 5 star read.

The role reversal, where Owen was the one escaping the arranged marriage, was what attracted me to this story. But this was a little to insta for me. While there were some steamy sexy times, I didn’t feel there were enough interactions between Owen and Jade to warrant an all-consuming love. To be honest, I skimmed most of their relationship building. I did, however, really enjoy the scenes with Owen and Poppy, Jade’s daughter. The family drama was what really kept my interest. Unfortunately, Owen’s money issues get resolved too quickly which means he doesn’t really get the chance to become independent from the family wealth.

The second arc read, and it was more than I could have hopped for! Owen had a lot of work to do in order for me to like him after his stunts with Skye. But boy, did he deliver! Who knew a previous f*** boy and drinker could turn soft for an air force pilot and her cute baby!? Not me before this book.
I loved Lincoln. Was convinced his book would be my favorite from this series.....but I think owen might have stollen the show.
Lincoln is still the number one in terms of a dirty talker. He could convince me to pretty much do anything. But Owen? He makes me melt with his sweetness. His desire to be the person Jade and Poppy deserve. Despite his family drama, he stays true to himself and his girl, and he pulls all the stops.
And let's talk about how he is with Poppy! My ovaries were screaming. @vhnicolsonauthor for writing such a wonderful story and creating such a perfect community at castleview Cove. Im sad it's coming to an end.
Ps. I know it's done, but....I feel like Evangeline has an interesting story to tell. We all love a villain redemption arch. I'm just saying. 😉
Pps. I need more Knox in my life! He brought the energy and the love at the end. His book just got a raise on my TBR!

This is the third in the Boys of Castleview Cove series - and just as great as the other two. It can easily be a standalone read, too. But you'll go back for Lincoln and Jacob!
It starts with a runaway groom and ends in a HEA! Owen has had enough of the family pressures and makes a runner at his wedding. He ends up spending time with an estranged cousin. There he meets single mom Jade, an amazing character, and her daughter, Poppy - super cute! After Jade's mom is injured and she needs a carer for Poppy, Owen becomes their manny. Jade's character was strong enough to stand on her own and also gentle enough to help Owen rebuild himself after the damages from his family. With Jade's belief in him, and Lincoln and Jacob's strong friendship - Owen becomes a whole new character than we've been led to see in the past. It's spicy, it's romantic, it made me smile and want to cry in other parts. It's been a great series as a whole and I've enjoyed these characters!
Thank you to NetGalley, the author and publisher for a temporary, digital ARC in return for my review.

Owen, is a sad lost man who runs away from his wedding leaving his bride at the altar. Literally a runaway groom. But there is hope for him while he figures out his life, staying with his cousin he meets a single mom with the cutest daughter (Poppy). Owen and her daughter had me falling in love with this book. It is well written, I enjoyed the plot a lot. But Owen and his interactions with Poppy had my heart all tied up. Love.

I had a difficult time connecting with the story, the characters and the premise. I also found that the storyline moved ahead slowly.,

In the previous book I disliked Owen but knew there had to be a reason why he was how he was. What a story this character has and my opinion of him changed very quickly. Owen was born into privilege but that comes with conditions, one of them being that he is expected to marry who his parents have chosen the sake of the business. At the altar he realises that he can’t go through with the wedding and so runs! Whilst hiding out in Cyprus he meets Jade who is an independent single mother. Jade slowly gets Owen to open up, unpick his feelings and to start to believe in himself. With instant attraction and some very steamy scenes this also looks at family dynamics, second chances and the power of friendship. I have thoroughly enjoyed this series, the characters, storylines and in my opinion there is just the right amount of drama, humour and steamy moments. Thanks to Boldwood Books and Netgalley for the ARC

This was a binge read and though it comes across as your typical billionaire romance the character of Owen is surprisingly deep.
He suffers with low self esteem and is at a loss of which direction his life should go, since he ditched his fiancée at the alter not wanting to be in an arranged marriage.
I enjoy the author's work. The writing is strong with the right amount of humour and flawed characters.
I loved how there was a lot of character back story, and deep exploration into them. I empathized with both Jade and Owen for trying hard to deny their attraction and worrying about moving forward.
Overall a good read well worth adding to your list

My oh my!!!! I was ofc I expecting to love this!! And I did!! This author is AMAZING!!! Shes so fucking underrated!!
This wasn’t runaway bride…..it was runaway GROOM!!! I ADORED this! I love how it was reversed too!!
Owen’s life was fucked up and controlled by his parents. He was gunna go in a marriage of convenience but the girl was a hitch and he ran…. This is where he meets jade, a single mum WHOS A PILOT!!! I SCREAMED, we don’t see a lot of this profession, especially by a girl!!!
The spice was immaculate….(especially the pool scene🤭🤭🔥🔥)
This was so well written and had me hooked from the first page! The ending was cute as!!!

⭐️⭐️⭐️/5
🌶️🌶️/5
Straight up, I did not vibe with this book and would give it 2 stars except it had some redeeming qualities that deserve some recognition.
It started off pretty good. Immediately, I was hooked by the writing style and the story. Backing out of an arranged marriage is a new kind of read for me so I was pretty excited. But then Owen had to go and be Owen….
Honestly, I flat out could not stand him. He was insufferably whiny and annoying. His internal monologue irritated me like no other fictional character has before and was so repetitive. I get it dude, your parents didn’t care that you didn’t love the woman they set you up with and cut you out of your inheritance. I just could not get on bored with his never ending pity parties when the man literally inherited millions elsewhere. Regardless of his parent’s money, he was going to be just fine.
As if constantly going on about his misfortunes wasn’t annoying enough, he never forgot to remind the reader he still had millions and could easily start over doing whatever made him happy. Okay… so shut up and go do that.
It’s unfortunate because I seriously thought the other characters were great. I really enjoyed them and loved their personalities so much.
I especially really liked that Jade was a strong independent woman, kicking butt being a pilot and a single mom to the most adorable 11 month old. But with that said, I feel like her being such a baddie really made Owen look worse beside her. I just couldn’t see how she liked him at all lol.
Well really, I didn’t get the connection between them, period. It was rushed and felt so forced. Real heavy on the insta-love and I am never here for that.
I don’t want to sh*t on Owen too much so I will say, his interactions with Jade’s daughter was the cutest thing. Easily my favorite parts of the whole book.
As for the spice…. Cringe. For a grown man whose friends/family seem to think is a womanizer…. He seemed to be a little inexperienced in the sheets. Which, that’s not a bad thing at all, but don’t sit here and say you’ve been with all these women and you can’t even deliver. To make it worse, it didn’t seem like Jade was all that into it either lol.
But yeah, this definitely wasn’t for me. I tried my hardest to like this book but Owen was the worst IMO.
But just because this was my yuck, that doesn’t mean it can’t be your yum. We don’t judge here.
If you are someone who enjoys insta-love and alpha females, this book is for you. Especially if you love adorable babies! Poppy was the real star of this read!

Great ‘fall in love quickly’ story! Owen and Jade fall fast and deep but Poppy steals the show! Owen’s life is a challenging one but with Jade & his friends behind him he’s able to persevere. Great book-I definitely recommend! I didn’t read the first two in the trilogy and didn’t feel lost but now I’ll go back and read those also!

A story of redemption. A story of a life turned around. A story of scorching, love at first sight. A story you should definitely read!
"My heart is breaking for a love I'm never going to find and a life I don't want." Owen Brodie, our broody MCC finds himself on a path leading to a marriage he doesn't want. And it seems that was the catalyst he needed to realize he wanted his life to go a different direction - money, possessions, and wealth aside, he was the only one with the power to change it.
Jade Sommers is driven, determined, and knows what she wants - in her career and in life. Her daughter Poppy was an unexpected blessing in disguise. And while her birth drastically changed Jade's life, it also seems to have given her perspective on life's priorities.
Owen and Jade's relationship begins with sparks that quickly flame into much, much more. And they're impossible not to love. Owen is remaking himself and Jade is learning to trust again. Owen has become so tender, patient, and willing to change. Jade fights against the negativity that she internalized no thanks to the men around her. And sweet Poppy fits perfectly in the middle.
This book was the perfect reminder that there are second chances, that you don't have to be held back by your family's expectations, and that you'll recognize true love at just the right time. This story wrecked me in the best ways. It reminds me that true love prevails. And that family are the ones who choose you and find you when you need it most, even when yours is quite unfortunate (evil, in Owen's case, tbh).
Books like this remind me why I love dark romance and the thrilling twists and turns that come with this genre. I am so grateful to VH Nicolson and Boldwood Books for the ARC in exchange for an honest review. This is a must-read!
