This is the third in the Boys of Castleview Cove series - and just as great as the other two. It can easily be a standalone read, too. But you'll go back for Lincoln and Jacob!
It starts with a runaway groom and ends in a HEA! Owen has had enough of the family pressures and makes a runner at his wedding. He ends up spending time with an estranged cousin. There he meets single mom Jade, an amazing character, and her daughter, Poppy - super cute! After Jade's mom is injured and she needs a carer for Poppy, Owen becomes their manny. Jade's character was strong enough to stand on her own and also gentle enough to help Owen rebuild himself after the damages from his family. With Jade's belief in him, and Lincoln and Jacob's strong friendship - Owen becomes a whole new character than we've been led to see in the past. It's spicy, it's romantic, it made me smile and want to cry in other parts. It's been a great series as a whole and I've enjoyed these characters!
Thank you to NetGalley, the author and publisher for a temporary, digital ARC in return for my review.

Owen, is a sad lost man who runs away from his wedding leaving his bride at the altar. Literally a runaway groom. But there is hope for him while he figures out his life, staying with his cousin he meets a single mom with the cutest daughter (Poppy). Owen and her daughter had me falling in love with this book. It is well written, I enjoyed the plot a lot. But Owen and his interactions with Poppy had my heart all tied up. Love.

I had a difficult time connecting with the story, the characters and the premise. I also found that the storyline moved ahead slowly.,

In the previous book I disliked Owen but knew there had to be a reason why he was how he was. What a story this character has and my opinion of him changed very quickly. Owen was born into privilege but that comes with conditions, one of them being that he is expected to marry who his parents have chosen the sake of the business. At the altar he realises that he can’t go through with the wedding and so runs! Whilst hiding out in Cyprus he meets Jade who is an independent single mother. Jade slowly gets Owen to open up, unpick his feelings and to start to believe in himself. With instant attraction and some very steamy scenes this also looks at family dynamics, second chances and the power of friendship. I have thoroughly enjoyed this series, the characters, storylines and in my opinion there is just the right amount of drama, humour and steamy moments. Thanks to Boldwood Books and Netgalley for the ARC

This was a binge read and though it comes across as your typical billionaire romance the character of Owen is surprisingly deep.
He suffers with low self esteem and is at a loss of which direction his life should go, since he ditched his fiancée at the alter not wanting to be in an arranged marriage.
I enjoy the author's work. The writing is strong with the right amount of humour and flawed characters.
I loved how there was a lot of character back story, and deep exploration into them. I empathized with both Jade and Owen for trying hard to deny their attraction and worrying about moving forward.
Overall a good read well worth adding to your list

My oh my!!!! I was ofc I expecting to love this!! And I did!! This author is AMAZING!!! Shes so fucking underrated!!
This wasn’t runaway bride…..it was runaway GROOM!!! I ADORED this! I love how it was reversed too!!
Owen’s life was fucked up and controlled by his parents. He was gunna go in a marriage of convenience but the girl was a hitch and he ran…. This is where he meets jade, a single mum WHOS A PILOT!!! I SCREAMED, we don’t see a lot of this profession, especially by a girl!!!
The spice was immaculate….(especially the pool scene🤭🤭🔥🔥)
This was so well written and had me hooked from the first page! The ending was cute as!!!

Straight up, I did not vibe with this book and would give it 2 stars except it had some redeeming qualities that deserve some recognition.
It started off pretty good. Immediately, I was hooked by the writing style and the story. Backing out of an arranged marriage is a new kind of read for me so I was pretty excited. But then Owen had to go and be Owen….
Honestly, I flat out could not stand him. He was insufferably whiny and annoying. His internal monologue irritated me like no other fictional character has before and was so repetitive. I get it dude, your parents didn’t care that you didn’t love the woman they set you up with and cut you out of your inheritance. I just could not get on bored with his never ending pity parties when the man literally inherited millions elsewhere. Regardless of his parent’s money, he was going to be just fine.
As if constantly going on about his misfortunes wasn’t annoying enough, he never forgot to remind the reader he still had millions and could easily start over doing whatever made him happy. Okay… so shut up and go do that.
It’s unfortunate because I seriously thought the other characters were great. I really enjoyed them and loved their personalities so much.
I especially really liked that Jade was a strong independent woman, kicking butt being a pilot and a single mom to the most adorable 11 month old. But with that said, I feel like her being such a baddie really made Owen look worse beside her. I just couldn’t see how she liked him at all lol.
Well really, I didn’t get the connection between them, period. It was rushed and felt so forced. Real heavy on the insta-love and I am never here for that.
I don’t want to sh*t on Owen too much so I will say, his interactions with Jade’s daughter was the cutest thing. Easily my favorite parts of the whole book.
As for the spice…. Cringe. For a grown man whose friends/family seem to think is a womanizer…. He seemed to be a little inexperienced in the sheets. Which, that’s not a bad thing at all, but don’t sit here and say you’ve been with all these women and you can’t even deliver. To make it worse, it didn’t seem like Jade was all that into it either lol.
But yeah, this definitely wasn’t for me. I tried my hardest to like this book but Owen was the worst IMO.
But just because this was my yuck, that doesn’t mean it can’t be your yum. We don’t judge here.
If you are someone who enjoys insta-love and alpha females, this book is for you. Especially if you love adorable babies! Poppy was the real star of this read!

Great ‘fall in love quickly’ story! Owen and Jade fall fast and deep but Poppy steals the show! Owen’s life is a challenging one but with Jade & his friends behind him he’s able to persevere. Great book-I definitely recommend! I didn’t read the first two in the trilogy and didn’t feel lost but now I’ll go back and read those also!

A story of redemption. A story of a life turned around. A story of scorching, love at first sight. A story you should definitely read!
"My heart is breaking for a love I'm never going to find and a life I don't want." Owen Brodie, our broody MCC finds himself on a path leading to a marriage he doesn't want. And it seems that was the catalyst he needed to realize he wanted his life to go a different direction - money, possessions, and wealth aside, he was the only one with the power to change it.
Jade Sommers is driven, determined, and knows what she wants - in her career and in life. Her daughter Poppy was an unexpected blessing in disguise. And while her birth drastically changed Jade's life, it also seems to have given her perspective on life's priorities.
Owen and Jade's relationship begins with sparks that quickly flame into much, much more. And they're impossible not to love. Owen is remaking himself and Jade is learning to trust again. Owen has become so tender, patient, and willing to change. Jade fights against the negativity that she internalized no thanks to the men around her. And sweet Poppy fits perfectly in the middle.
This book was the perfect reminder that there are second chances, that you don't have to be held back by your family's expectations, and that you'll recognize true love at just the right time. This story wrecked me in the best ways. It reminds me that true love prevails. And that family are the ones who choose you and find you when you need it most, even when yours is quite unfortunate (evil, in Owen's case, tbh).
Books like this remind me why I love dark romance and the thrilling twists and turns that come with this genre. I am so grateful to VH Nicolson and Boldwood Books for the ARC in exchange for an honest review. This is a must-read!

I am a huge fan of this author. Not only do you get a spicy read but you actually get a great story as well.
Owen has been a “hated” character in her other books so I was ready to continue to hate him but of course I fell in love with his character in the book and in life. Cute story and yet again a winner.
Thank you to NetGalley and Boldwood Books for this ARC.

This is the first time I’ve read VH Nicolson, but it definitely won’t be the last. I've already downloaded the previous two books too, since I enjoyed this book so much.
This book had it all: spice, suspense, romance, and a fantastic friend group that brought everything together.
Owen is supposed to enter into an arranged marriage to satisfy his parents' wishes, but instead, he runs away. He reunites with his cousin in another country—who is part of the Royal Air Force—and soon meets Jade, a single mom who’s also joined the squadron. Jade arrives with her own mother and baby, ready to begin training with the team. As it turns out, she’s not just any recruit—she’s the squadron leader.
I loved the dynamic between Owen and Jade, especially how their bond develops amidst duty and personal struggles. You watch them work thru their issues together and really get a good sense of their relationship. If you like your romance books with some adventure and romance, this one is a must-read.

5⭐️ 3🌶️ This book was sooo good, and so much more than I ever anticipated! I didn’t want to put it down, but work really got in the way of my plans, haha! This is the third in the series and I will absolutely be adding books one and two to my TBR! The third act so suspenseful and out of everything I guessed would happen, I was only right about like 2 aspects! The Epilogue had me in stitches! So funny!!
Owen was under so much pressure from his family and has zero self esteem or confidence in himself and it was sometimes hard to read his inner dialogue. Jade was so strong and was a true force when it comes to being a mom, pilot, and person in general. The way she spoke to Owen and lifted him was so swoony!
Thank you NetGalley and Boldwood Books for this ARC!

So this is the end of the series, but what an end. If you thought Owen was such a bad boyfriend to Skye and a playboy, in this book you will find a new changed Owen.
From the first pages I fell in love with him, because of hiw he express all his emotions and needs, he can be scared about the future but strong for what he wants in the moment.
And his interactions with Poppy are so cute and beautiful.
And Jade, I also very much liked because she was strong, independent and career driven but also a good mom.
I liked their relation and that they both new from the beginning what they want and fought for it.
It was the beautiful ending of the series.
Give it a try !!!

Between the 'rich boy marries well to prove a point' and 'ice queen is actually frozen solid', the first chapters of this had me spinning.
Owen had far to come for me, like we're talking Boston Marathon far. The way though that we did a pop 360 from the forced proximity, arranged marriage saga, to a military, age gap, single mom trope should be studied.
What I love about Nicolson is she is giving you action right away. Then letting the characters breathe and grow through the rest of their trials and relation whoas. Let there be no confusion where the crux of our story lays. It's with that pool scene 🤭
Lincoln is of course consistently the healthiest of reflections of man, doling out advice like my therapist might, and Owen is taking it. So, Owen. Consider your red flag retired, we will now fly green flags in your honor from here on out.

This was a quick romance with spice! You get a former rich-boy meets singel-mom finding them selfs and finding love.
It's was a bit top sweet for my taste, but the spice was spicy and the banter was bantering.
Worked very well as a standalone, but now I kinda wanna read the other two....
3,5 stars and a thanks to NetGalley for the ARC

I enjoyed the story. It was insta love. No drama between the two main characters. I like that. I would like to here what happened with Camilla hope she gets a story. I would recommend this book and Author.

Instalove, dysfunctional families, drama, and some serious dynamics woven through give this romance plenty of substance! Interesting switch on the usual with a runaway groom and a strong and accomplished female (authors usually go for the opposite, so a refreshing change there) make the story stand out, and Owen definitely has a journey of self discovery that is core to the storyline. His interactions with Poppy are genuine and darned cute!

In books one and two, we meet the friends; Lincoln, Jacob, and Owen. And Owen doesn’t exactly come across as the greatest guy. But, you know there is more to it. So book 3 is Owen’s story and time for him to redeem himself.
Owen has grown up his whole life being told what to do, where to be, how to live, etc. His friends try to help but also want to be supportive. So at Owen’s wedding, he’s in a panic and they try to get him to listen this time. He is miserable and they try to make him see that is what his future will be if he doesn’t do anything about it. As the vows are being said, everything is a blur. What is he thinking? He looks to his friends, they mouth, run..so he does.
If only that’s where it ended. Nope! That’s just the start. Owen does take a vacation of sorts and that’s where he meets Jade. But what starts as bliss doesn’t last long. There are many obstacles ahead but with the help of each other and their friends, maybe they can get that HEA. This whole series was good. Personally, I like to see wrongs righted and I like to see revenge so there are a couple things I would have liked to see but that’s ok. Still liked Owen, Lincoln and Jacob.
Thank you #NetGalley, #BoldwoodBooks, #VHNicolson

Owen is running away from a controlling family, but the last thing he expects is to find the independent, fast-flying, single mum, Jade, with daughter Poppy.
Chemistry and sparks fly, and soon the two will help each other heal and find the strength that was there all along; they just needed the right people to support them.
I loved Owen; he was an emotionally damaged character who needed the most healing in this series of books, and was the softest character between Lincoln and Jacob.
Nicolson gives us another strong female character, who is an absolute badass, and shows us that women can truly have it all, be a mum and have a career. Just by reading Jade, I felt stronger.
This narrative had my heart pounding in several places and a twist that you won't see coming. We are given a love story with struggle, but constant hope and it will set your emotions going with these characters' backstories.
Another fantastic novel by this author, who is easily one of my go-to.

This series is so lovely and fun. It was a bit different in that I loved the role reversals and the confidence that Jade had. Poppy and Owen were so cute and the story was ok, if not a bit dramatic.
Thank you NetGalley for letting me read and review.
