I usually don't like "feel good books". I took a chance on this one, and I am glad I did. I loved the author's writing. I also loved the 1940's setting. This was a beautiful historical fiction novel, and I highly recommend it to fans of the genre.

I really enjoyed this historical fiction read. I thought that the storytelling through flowers and gardens was an interesting take.

This was a cozy, uplifting read with characters you will fall in love with. The dual timelines work really well and I liked the gardening parts as well as the slowly growing romance. The ending was so satisfying and I ended the book with a smile on my face.

Goodness me, this was such a good book. Highly entertaining. Would definitely recommend to others, that's for sure!

I think this will be a wonderful beach read or book to bring before you fall asleep at night, or even one to have on a rainy day with a cup of tea, as it is written in what seemed to me to be a calming style.

I somehow didn’t see this book took place in the 1940’s, and I am not a big fan of historical fiction.

There are also quite a few religious references that just made me feel disconnected from this read.

I DNF’d this one at 12% for those reasons, and I just think I am not the right reader for this book, but I would totally buy this for a family member!
