As an adult in their 30s I don't enjoy college romances like I used to but I LOVVVED this! Their circumstances and situations do not feel like college teens which I appreciated. It is pretty heavy, I cried a lot the second half... I was also thoroughly convinced there was no way I was going to like Damian (hes terrrrrible in the first 30%) but god his redemption arc is one of the more epic ones I've read in a romcom. You obviously learn about why he is so terrible but his and Lexi's love for each other during the last act is so pure and sweet. This is one of the few college series I plan to continue. Also the banter and humor is pretty epic!

This was cute!
Fake dating trope done so well! Although it’s a rom com that makes you laugh out loud. I think it had some sept with some deep topics too which I loved.
Grumpy x sunshine
Golden retriever x black cat
Spice but not too much which I loved as it had more to it rather than over powering spice.
Absolutely highly recommend this book! I throughly enjoyed it

The Girlfriend Agreement is a lighthearted, fake-dating romance with just enough emotional weight to keep you hooked. Lexi is an absolute queen!!!! bold, witty, and instantly loveable. Damian’s transformation from arrogant playboy to swoon-worthy boyfriend felt a bit rushed, and his early ‘fuckboy’ persona was a little much, but their chemistry slowly makes up for it. Did i love him for the first half - no - did he get better absolutely. The side characters are well-developed, the Twilight references are FANTASTIC, and it’s an easy, enjoyable read for romance lovers.

I am a sucker for a fake dating trope and this did it so well! I will definitely be keeping an eye out for more from this author.

Ok, this was fire!!! it literally had all my favourite tropes including enemies to lovers and fake dating. The spice level was crazy good and definitely adds to the sexy feel of the story.
This is a cute rom-com set in college and I will admit that Damien got on my nerves at the beginning and I didn't actually like his character BUT the character development is off the charts! I went from hating him to wishing he was my real life MMC! I especially loved Damien's changing relationship with his family, I think Rowan really added a strong family backstory for him that was both bittersweet and heartfelt. It really added a new layer to his budding relationship with Lexi as well and also highlighted their shared connection.
Lexi is such a unique FMC, and I loved that she was academic and intelligent but still witty and real. Her backstory with her mum is so heartwarming and you can't help but root for her. I also loved her 2 besties, they graced us with excellent banter throughout.
Also a special mention for the Twilight references! I honestly laughed out loud. My teenage self started coming back to life.
Lexi and Damien fake dating is the cherry on top though. The tension and chemistry they have is palpable through the pages. This is a must read for rom-com fans! highly recommend!

Thank you for the ARC Netgalley and Rowan!
I really enjoyed this! The enemies to lovers, fake dating is what I needed right now! Damian is a entitled douche at first but his story progression and empathy grows and you can see he wants to change. I loved Lexi from the start! Her maths genius is something to admire and I love Andie and Ronnie!! Very likeable, relatable individuals, I found it an enjoyable read but made myself slow down to savour the story and characters.
There is a sense of understanding between Lexi and Damian when it comes to family matters and I think that is portrayed well from both their pov's. I'm looking forward to this hopefully becoming a series but if it doesn't, I'm glad I was given the opportunity to meet them all!

I was fortunate enough to receive an early copy of this book and ended up rating it 4.75 Stars. Going into this I thought it was going to be another fluffy romance book however that wasn't the case!
At the start of this story our main characters are enemies due to a previous situation that occurred between the two of them and ruined our FMCs freshman year of college. Fast forward in the story, they are now fake dating as it is a mutually beneficial agreement despite their mixed feelings towards one another. Somewhere along the way faking feelings for each other becomes real and they have to trust that the other feels the same way despite the overhanging shadow of what occurred in the past to create this rift between them.
Our main characters both have their own life struggles that made them so much more relatable in my opinion. The emotional depth the author went into inflicted a number of emotions upon me and I went from laughing to crying at certain points.
If you are considering reading this book please check the trigger warnings as there are a number of topics that some readers may be sensitive to including: chronic illness, grief and abandonment.
Overall I absolutely loved this book and would definitely recommend it!

Thank you NetGalley and Rowan Croft for this eARC, I have been seeing this everywhere and I am so grateful to be given the chance to read this early.
This book is easily 5 stars, might even be 6 stars. I loved it, I loved the FMC and I absolutely adored the MMC. Enemies to lovers whilst fake dating? Sign me right up, it's about to be a great time and boy did this book deliver. It is hilarious, that left me giddy and kicking my feet.
It tackles some harder bits, but it works perfectly within the dynamics of the characters and is woven beautifully into the story. However, it is a swoon worthy read with a lot of tension and full of banter. I will be purchasing this book when it is released and I will be telling everyone I know to buy this book because its an easy read but with a great story.

Tropes:
* Fake Dating
* Black cat x Golden retriever
* Enemies with Benefits
I want to give a huge thank you to Netgalley and Rowan Croft for an ARC copy of the Girlfriend Agreement! I had a lot of fun reading this book, and it shattered my expectations for that book!
Lexi Dornan has always been the smartest person. However, when her mom’s already expensive medical payments are no longer covered under her insurance, she doesn’t know how to solve her way out of it. Enter playboy Damian Navarro, who is willing to pay for a fake girlfriend in exchange for pleasing his parents. Although Lexi hates the idea of even being close to Damian, her desperation takes over and agrees to his deal. As the months go on, can Lexi and Damian stick out until graduation, or will their feelings take over when love wins out?
First of all, I want to say that I absolutely LOVED this book! I was worried that it was going to be another book with an unlikeable, shallow main character who somehow converted their significant other to like them, but this was completely different. The characters not only had so much depth to them but also growth. I really connected to all of them because I knew about their past and how it created them into the person they are. I also liked how the entire book was not only just about the romance and fake-dating they had together. It was such a great read.
I do want to give a fair warning and say that this book is pretty long. Longer than I thought it was since I was reading this book on my Kindle. However, I never thought there was a boring moment in the book. Everything felt appropriately drawn out considering all of the events occurring in this book.
I would absolutely recommend this book! It releases on July 29, so be sure to get your copy!
P.S. I love each and every Twilight reference made in this book!!

okay after thinking on this i can safely say this is in my top 2 favorite reads so far this year. 5 ⭐️ i’d give it a million if i could
y’all know the analogy of putting a frog in water and bringing it to boil? and how the frog won’t jump out? that was me with this book. the non-boiling water was the cute fake-dating, second chance, scorned enemies to lovers tropes and the boiling water was the EMOTIONAL DAMAGE that rowan threw at me.
tw: cancer (i do discuss in my review while being as non-spoilery as possible)
despite not being a math genius, i related *so much* to lexi in this story. as someone who currently has a parent with stage 4 cancer, seeing her actions and thought process was exactly the same i would do in her situation.
on the other hand, damian’s pov had such conversations on grief that by the end of the book i barely went a chapter without crying. rowan put words to emotions that i have been struggling with myself and honestly? i needed to hear. her writing was a sucker punch to my own personal sadness and grief.
this book will hook you with the fun banter and spicy scenes and then boil you alive with emotions and thoughtfulness. i couldn’t have asked for anything better. everyone PLEASE go read this book

Ooooooh baby was I squealing while reading the Girlfriend Agreement. Sorry, but I do love a fake dating situation. Now you add in enemies to lovers?? I'm hooked. From the start, we knew we'd love Lexi. A brilliant, headstrong woman who goes for what she wants (sometimes and maybe with a little liquid courage). And who am I kidding, I knew I'd love Damian. Sure, in a real life situation we'd all hate him, but in a book... god do I love the self-centered playboy.
The Girlfriend Agreement promises giddy laughter, swoon worthy scenes, great banter, and maybe some tears. A 10/10 summer read. Catch me re-reading it and recommending it to everyone who will listen.
Thank you Rowan Croft and NetGalley for the ARC.

The Girlfriend Agreement by Rowan Croft is an absolute masterpiece! It has top notch banter, tension galore, and a sweet touching side to the story. I literally couldn't read it fast enough!
I really connected with Lexi, the FMC, because of how she's introverted and puts a mask on for those around her, I thought that she was a fantastic character and her fiery side was hilarious. Damien, the MMC, was her perfect balance and to see their relationship go from pure hatred to love was a wild ride.
The other side characters were also a treat and everyone was very well fleshed out and had their own personalities, which I love, the plot was consistent and the twists might have been expected but they were dealt in unexpected ways sometimes.
Overall, this was definitely a favorite read of mine and I would recommend it to anyone who enjoys banter, will-they-won't-they vibes, and a truly heartwarming HEA!

When I first discover Damian I was kind of skeptical like what ?? This boy 😂😂 and then you start to know him profoundly to like and love him his backstory 🥹 and there is Lexi on the other side who could give up everything for the person she loves omggg their love story I love them with all of my heart ♥️ this book was amazing 🤩 and ohhh Ronnie I am scared of her 😂😂😂😂😂 she is the bff I wish I had ❤️💯

This was a great book! I love fake dating and I was so happy to get to read this book! The romance and the banter was so good!

This was a spicy college fake dating romance and I was HOOKED from less than 10% in. Sometimes I find college romance can be overdone, especially with fake dating but this one was so original and fantastic!!! I think what I enjoyed most was the background to the characters, their feelings, and especially Lexi and her home situation which made the story more realistic and alive. The fake dating is so so so fun!
I had so much fun reading this book and I cannot wait to see what this author does in the future!! (Count me in for future ARCS pleaseeeeeeeee) :)

**Lexi**
- firstly, I want to give her a massive hug because this girl went throughhhhh it during this book. I loved that she was so open and blunt with her feelings towards any icky behaviour because often I read FMCs who are quite unsure of themselves at all times so this was really refreshing. I love how much she loves everyone around her, especially her family.
“I f*cking detest Damian Navarro… but goddamn, if they boy isn’t fire in bed”

**Damian**
- ooohhhh he was a hotty from the get go - new book boyfriend anyone?. I like a sarcastic meany rich boy in books so he was a solid 10 from the start. I loved his growth arc and how he became the person he was at the end. Plus he was extremely funny, and a hidden nerd? LOVE
➺
**Damian and Lexi**
- I absolutely loved the bond that these two started forming! The enemies to lovers was real. The concept of the bet was a really good starting point too, definitely something I havent seen before! It was so cute watching them fall for each other, and encourage each other in ways they weren't already receiving in their lives.

**Lexi and Ronnie**
- Ronnie is an absolute favourite highlight of this book. I love a badass bestfriend who also calls people out on their nonsense. I love the caring and protective attitude she has over Lexi, and always made decisions with her best interests at heart!

First off thank you so much for allowing me to be an ARC Reader for The Girlfriend Agreement. Unfortunately for me this was a DNF. This was because I found there to be a lot of inner dialogue between the conversations that were being had and I wanted to imagine the conversation in my head which I struggled to do because of the lengthy inner dialogue between the conversations between characters. I loved the premise of this story but I found that the execution just caused me to struggle do to some of these things. One other thing I struggled with was the author referred to the female main character as Blondie even after they had made an agreement and I just wished he could refer to her as Lexi. For some people these reasons will not impact their reading journey but this is what caused me to discontinue reading. I wish the author all the best and success. I did not post a review on good reads as I didn't want to leave a negative review.

I absolutely loved this book. I was hooked right from the first chapter and fell in love with Lexi really quickly.
Lexi and Damian form an agreement to become involved in a fake relationship. Both will gain significantly from the agreement but both also have a lot to lose if they are found out.
At the beginning it was easy to hate Damian due to the way he treated pretty much everyone else around him. However I did a full U-Turn on this at around 40% of the way through.
Lexi is closed off and comes across as dismissive at the beginning however as the story goes on, it becomes clear that she has erected a huge wall around herself to protect her feelings. Due to previous experiences, she worries that any man she trusts will eventually hurt her and leave.
When Damian learns this and more about her personality, he goes through a complete character switch. Damian sets out to earn Lexi’s trust and break down her barriers.
I love a book when we get a friendship love story too. The friendship and bond between Lexi, Ronnie and Andie was everything and I can’t wait to see who gets their own HEA next!

The Girlfriend Agreement by Rowan Croft
I am giving this book 4 stars because the amount of inner monologue seemed too long at some points for me I felt I was having to go back and check to see what the last line of the conversation was about and it got a little annoying. besides that I did enjoy the story line even though or fmc was VERY prickly at times and almost too much but it was explained later on why that was which was nice to see it from that perspective. I liked that these characters mainly the fmc had real world problems that most of us could relate to! The math examples cracked me up because I hate math and there was so much time explaining what she was teaching I even found myself so lost but that is just me being horrible at math and it made me giggle! The character growth was great and I was so freaking happy when they finally figured their own feelings out.

This book was absolutely fantastic. Lexi, a math genius is just trying to navigate school and dealing with her sick mother. Damien, billionaire f*#€boy, seduces Lexi in a dare. When it comes out she’s embarrassed and broken by it. The next semester she hooks up with him again, and he doesn’t even remember her. One thing leads to another and his playboy ways catch up with him and his parents threaten to cut him off if he doesn’t straighten up and get it together. In comes Lexi again, despite her deep hatred of him, desperate for lie y to take care of her mom, she agrees to it. But like all of these arrangements it’s more than they bargained for.
Their character development was so well written and both characters are rich and complex. The story was quite emotional at times too. They were so wonderful to get to know and go on that journey with them. I am excited for this series if they’re anything like this! Definitely a must read when it’s released!
