I love a romance set in my beautiful Scotland. Especially up in the Highlands where the scenery makes everything extra special!
I absolutely loved everything about this, the cover, the characters, the setting, the storyline and the writing.
I was immediately hooked and finished the book in 2 sittings over the space of 6 hours, I just couldn't wait to get back to it, having read almost 70% in one go!
I hadn't realised that this was part of a series focusing on Bex and her friends, but reading the end of this leads me to believe there will be more to come and I absolutely want to read that! There seems like so much still to learn about Fergus and Duncan's families.
If you love a Scottish romcom then look no further and dive into this!

Bex and Duncan oh my gosh loved these two.
A beautiful setting for a sweet romance story, but also a book full of great characters, I’m hoping there are more of these characters to come in future books.
A one sitting read as I just had to carry on reading.
A first from this author for me but I’ll be sure to read more.
Loved the writing loved the storyline plus a really cute cover too 😍

Thank you to NetGalley, Boldwood Books and author Hannah Lynn for this eARC

A cute and charming grumpy-sunshine romance, set in a cozy village in the Scottish Highlands.
City girl goes to small town where she meets charming man and falls in love with him and the town - it’s a very classic setup that I enjoy every time.
The development of the relationship was done well and we got some super cute moments. I also loved the the side characters and especially the pets.
Unfortunately it loses a star for the 3rd act. I hate the miscommunication trope with all my heart - you are adults, just talk to each other!!

A cute, fast-paced, cozy romance with a great setting and loveable characters.

Bex is sent to Scotland to do an old man’s accounting which hadn’t been done for years. She has an encounter with Duncan who stumbles into the bathroom when it’s unlocked.

Bex becomes a part of the village and gets closer to Duncan.

But when a shocking discovery comes to light will they be able to find their way back to each other ?

This was a super cute romance set in a lovely Highland castle and town, but that ending... what was that????

I wonder if this is going to be part of a series?? I hope so, since it was well written and well paced, and the characters were amazaball.

This is my first book by Hannah and definitely won't be my last.

It was a nice, easy read that you just couldn't put down. There is just nothing you can't love about this book.
I already want to read the second book to see what happens next.

If you're looking for a nice, easy summer read full of romance set in Scotland, then definitely give this one ago.

This was such a cute read. Rebecca “Bex” is on track for a big promotion at her accounting firm when her boss asks her to take a special assignment. She has to spend the next two months in Scotland to help sort out a client’s account. Determined to prove she deserves the promotion, she sets off. Nothing goes right from the start, but when she arrives, she is shocked to discover she will be working out of a castle. There is even a sweet pup to keep her company.

Duncan is the groundskeeper who is still nursing a broken heart after losing his fiancée. He has been focused on his work and his very demanding cat. When he unexpectedly meets Bex, things are more awkward than either of them expects, but he feels inexplicably drawn to her. As they spend more time together, you cannot help but root for them.

I loved how they got to know each other through little moments and quiet gestures. Duncan was so thoughtful with the surprises he planned for her. The local villagers were the heart of the story. They welcomed her into their community like she had always belonged.

The only thing that threw me off was how slow the burn was, and then once they finally made decisions, it all happened almost too abruptly. I am assuming since this is part of a series we will get more in the next book, and I cannot wait to see where the story goes from here since the ending felt a bit rushed and did not fully resolve everything.

If you are looking for a lighthearted, quick read where strangers fall in love and the locals adopt the newcomer as their own, look no further.

Thank you to NetGalley, Boldwood Books, and Hannah Lynn for allowing me the privilege of reading this story.

More fun, more great characters and more reading. I love books I can just pick up and enjoy with ease and this is certainly one of those books. Cup of tea in hand and settled in on a comfy seat I read this book in one sitting. A new book in a new series and that made me smile too and what's not to like about the Scottish Highlands. This book made me laugh and smile, it made me all warm inside and it certainly made me want to keep turning the pages.

Great book with great characters and all the fun and beauty of Scotland. What more could you want. I can't wait to read more.

Thank you NetGalley and Boldwood Books for giving me the opportunity to read and review this book.

This was a strange read, I was looking forward to it as I have read books by this author, it was nice to see Daisy make an appearance, it was strange as the tag line said he was brooding but i didnt see this he seemed really pushy, it was annoying that Bex kept misunderstanding and not asking the questions or having a conversation, i know this is part of a romance, but this just went a bit far, overall it was a cute read but wasn't for me

I hadn't read the previous books (set on a houseboat) but I enjoyed this one so will now look out for them. Rebecca (Bec) is an accountant and keen to move up the corporate ladder. When sent to the highlands by her boss to sort the accounts of a connection of his, she unwilling goes hoping it will smooth the way to promotion. When she arrives and sees the mess awaiting her, she decides to work through weekends in order to get back to London all the quicker. However, when she meets the groundskeeper, Duncan, things are no longer so clear. They have an instant connection, but Duncan is heartbroken following a failed engagement, and the local community do their best to keep them apart... A lovely light hearted read, thank you to Netgalley for my ARC copy - this has not affected my review.

Thank you for the ARC copy.

So negative reviews for early release books are hit or miss for me. Like there was very little I enjoyed about this book so I want to be truthful but at the same time I don’t want to discourage other people from finding this book.

I will say I was fine with it, I didn’t HATE this book but I definitely would never pick it up again. The main character was infuriatingly boring and over thought everything, made matters worse by being super immature and refused to communicate. Everyone felt super 1D and just existed for the MC to complain to about things. Most of the book was mindless dribble chatting with friends to the point where the romance felt completely unrealistic and not even necessary to the story.

When London accountant Rebecca Barker arrives at Highland Hall with a clear plan to revive the estate, she means to be there simply for business and doesn’t expect any distractions. Yet her resolve is tested by Duncan MacDuffrey, the estate’s brooding groundskeeper. As Bex's precision meets Duncan's determination, sparks begin to fly.
I really enjoyed this closed-door romance, set amongst the romantic Scottish backdrop. Duncan is a compelling character who is grounded and listens to Bex in a way that’s genuinely endearing. The inclusion of Lorna and Fergus and their relationship with Bex gave an added dimension to this storyline. My only quibble is that the ending arrived a little too quickly, and I found myself wishing for more time with these characters. Here’s hoping a second book might be on the horizon.
I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book from NetGalley. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

This was a cute, perfect summer read in Scotland. I am used to more lengthy books, I have come to appreciation of shorter books and would recommend this one as a quick read. The characters had nice individual growth despite how fast the story went by. I found their personalities come through and thought they were funny and amusing. It was beautifully written and now my interest to go to Scotland has increased.

A sweet read that has interesting characters. Fergus, the old man who owns the castle. The groundskeeper, with the broken heart. Lorna, the strong willed woman who befriends Bex the main character. And Ruby the dog, who is a character herself. It was an easy read that the author has made an enjoyable read.
I received an ARC from NetGalley and the publisher, Boldwood, and leaving a review by my own accord.

This book was so easy to read, I really enjoyed the experience. There was something about the tone and the structure of the writing that made it feel effortless.

Bex and Duncan were both brilliant characters, with enough depth to make them feel real and enough chemistry to keep them interesting throughout the story. They were joined by a delightfully grumpy estate owner, an overprotective sister, some fun friends and a really cute dog, making their world feel full and realistic. I had a lot of fun watching their back-and-forth develop into something more meaningful.

I was so close to giving this 5 stars, but it ended so abruptly that it didn't feel right to. It ended in what felt like the middle of the story, with no real resolution to the bigger plot points. I understand that this is intended to be part of a series, but it felt like a quite unnatural place to end things and left me feeling confused and a little unsatisfied, which is a shame, because I was really enjoying the book.

Kilts And Kisses At Highland Hall

How could anyone resist grabbing this gorgeous looking romcom summer read? - I definitely couldn't and what a great quick read it was too!

I love a good romance and this setting was just so perfect for this genre.

City girl Rebecca heads off to crunch the numbers and sort the paperwork for the highland estate, with the promise of promotion when it's sorted.
Groundskeeper Duncan vows to help her get things sorted, but in the meantime, the pair hit it off in a way neither was prepared for.

I am a sucker for a highland setting - especially one in the grounds of a glorious Scottish estate - and it was lovely to see some of the wider community here too.

Having said that, the community were not allowed so keen on seeing the relationship developed and the grumpy Laird certainly tried to put his opinion across.

The descriptive writing had me craving a visit to the Highlands and I was sad when this ended and I had to come back home again!

The characters were a diverse set and I loved seeing these differences enhance the relationship as it developed.

I hadn't realised that this book was actually part of a series and of course, this was my first read - but although I'm sure that there were returning characters from previous books, this being focussed mainly on Bex and Duncan, I felt that this read just fine as a standalone read.
Although we do end on a tiny cliffhanger that makes me curious to read the next book - and to catch up on the rest in the meantime!

A great read that I raced through in no time. Can't wait to catch up with the other characters' stories.

Bex is hoping for a promotion as an accountant in London, but her boss has other ideas. She gets sent to handle paperwork and financials for a laird in Scotland and ends up meeting his groundskeeper, Duncan. This book was so cute and had good banter between the two characters which is my favorite. This book was so good and I am hoping for another one from this author!

With thanks to NetGalley and Boldwood Books for an early copy of this book. All thoughts are my own.

Kilts and Kisses at Highland Hall by Hannah M. Lynn follows accountant Rebecca Barker as she arrives at Highland Hall ready to set the long-neglected books straight. As Bex digs further into her work and becomes friends with the guarded groundskeeper Duncan she finds out more about the people and the place than she accounted for. Will Bex guard her heart or take a risk to make big memories?

This book was very sweet. I really enjoyed Bex and Duncan’s banter, interactions, and growth. The meddling but well-meaning secondary characters – including the dogs – were also lovely. The book did seem to end a bit abruptly, but it looks like it is the first book in a new series, so hopefully we will be able to see some of these characters again soon. If you are looking for a sweet summer romance set in Scotland, this one is for you!
