I was really enjoying this book, when it suddenly ended. I sure hope that there is a sequel. Bex has been expecting a promotion at the accounting firm and was surprised when she was told to go to Scotland for two months to organize the accounts of a friend of her bosses dad. While the views are amazing, the office is a mess and she is worried that it will take much longer than two months, while trying not to notice how cute the groundskeeper is. I would give this 4.5 stars. It is an engaging quick read.

Thanks to the Publisher and Netgalley for an early review copy.
I loved this book, the start of a new series by Hannah Lynn.
Bex, is an accountant, when she thinks her boss is going to promote her, she’s in shock when he asks her to travel to Scotland, to sort out accounts for a castle for two months.
When she arrives, the paperwork isn’t exactly how she was expecting to find it. She meets Duncan the next morning, he’s the groundskeeper.
When she starts to sort out the paperwork, Bex feels like it’s a job for more than the timeframe she’s been advised.
It was interesting to see how Bex was around Duncan and the other residents in the village, how Bex made friendships with them and the way Bex and Duncan worked together.
It was lovely to see Fergus inform her how he came to live at the castle and what his life was like, how Duncan came to stay at the lodge, and see Fergus become more friendly towards Bex.
I also loved the animals.
I highly recommend this book.

Kilt Kisses at Highland Hall
A sweet and charming story with an absolutely incredible setting. I’ve always been a fan of the “city girl moves to a small town” trope, and this one delivered on all the cozy, feel-good vibes I love.
Duncan is such a thoughtful and funny MMC, truly a sweetheart. The side characters were a delight as well; they quickly became Bex’s little found family, which added warmth and heart to the story. I enjoyed the dynamic between Bex and Duncan, but I wish we had gotten to go a bit deeper. It felt like we only scratched the surface of their connection.
The ending came a sooner than I expected. I would’ve loved for the story to take its time before diving into the miscommunication conflict. Overall, I found myself wanting more. More pages, more emotion, and maybe a few answers about Fergus’s backstory too!
This is a cute, fast-paced read, and the Scottish setting alone will transport you. While the story didn’t completely sweep me away, I still enjoyed it overall.
Thank you Hannah Lynn, Boldwood Books and NetGalley for the ARC, this is my honest review.

I love any romance which is set in a Scottish Castle. With the lovable Scottish hunk and the pretty girl who comes to help out in the castle. With this being a romance you know that they end up together however it is the journey from not knowing each other to being an inseparable couple. I also enjoy the journey and hurdles that the author has put in the way of them and how they overcome them. I can not wait to see where this series goes.

I loved this book. I give this book 10 out of 10. I was excited to be able to
Read this book once I read what it was about.
The cover of the book caught my eye right away. Once I started this book, I could not put it down. I absolutely love the storyline. Hannah did an amazing job making you feel like you were there. And you could imagine the castle and great detail in the room.
The characters were perfect and I cannot wait to read another one of Hannah’s books..

Hannah Lynn's 'Kilts and Kisses at Highland Hall' is a delightful romantic comedy that transports readers to the lovely Scottish Highlands. The tale of London accountant Rebecca Barker, a lady of numbers and by-the-book plans, who travels to the grand, dilapidated Highland Hall with only the hope of saving its books. But her rational world is turned upside down by Duncan MacDuffrey, the estate's brooding, kilt-clad groundskeeper.
What follows is a traditional enemies-to-lovers romance, full of sparring dialogue and tension hanging in the air. Rebecca, with her immaculately pressed trousers suits, biffs humorously with rough-around-the-edges Duncan, whose own heart is as locked away as the secrets of the ancient house. The Highland community's protective nature provides an added layer of fun hurdles, attempting to keep the insiders and outsiders firmly separated. As the fog rolls in and professional lines are crossed, the author masterfully weaves a romance that is both heartwarming and really funny. It's an ideal read for those looking for a feel-good escape with lots of Scottish charm and a healthy shot of will-they-won't-they tension.

This was everything I want in a contemporary romance plus Scotland! I loved both the characters and found their interactions to be perfectly paced.

I liked the characters for the most part. There were some things left hanging at the end, so I guess this is the beginning of a series. I would have liked to see Bex settled and happy.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Bex is an accountant living in London, who is sent by her boss to Scotland for 2 months to sort out an old laird’s paperwork.
Duncan is the old laird’s groundskeeper.
I loved reading how their relationship developed even though the village were doing their best to save Duncan’s heart. I also liked the friendships which were already there and the friendships which developed during the book, the way Hannah has written the characters and the banter made it an easy read.
A sweet closed door romance, I would have liked there to be an epilogue to finish it off.
I received a gifted copy of this book. This is my honest review.

I really liked this book, I loved the characters, plot and the setting, but now I’m just kind of shocked and I guess I feel the end was super abrupt????
I was under the impression this was a standalone, but apparently it’s an interconnected standalone? The FMC was in a previous book? 🤷🏻♀️
I’m still not completely sure because it’s not listed as apart of a series on Goodreads, and because of the super abrupt end if it’s a standalone, that’s even more confusing.
I would definitely read this if it’s a series and I really hope it is because damn now I need to know!!!!!!

A quick cozy small town romance. So I think you should settle in your comfy chair put up your feet and read this new book by Hannah.
Rebecca a determined accountant from London who is sent to Scotland to figure out years of bad bookkeeping from Lord grumpy pants. Soon their chemistry is undeniable but comes with challenges. First he's not over his ex and she's just there for 60days to do her job. Second it's a small town with lots of options. Trust me lots of characters with lots of opinions....
That's all you'll get, I'm leaving ya hanging till you get yourself a copy of this romance that releases June 30th.
Thank you to Netgalley for my advanced copy of this book for my honest review although I would have read it anyway. I enjoy reading Hannah's books. Hope you will too.

A lighthearted read with loveable characters. Following a city girl transforming to Scotland and those she meets along the way. Thanks to Hannah and her publisher. Thanks also to NetGalley

Bex is an accountant, sent by her employer to Scotland to help with getting the accounts in order for the Highland Hall, with the promise of a promotion at the end of it. After a long journey by car she finds the paperwork in a terrible state, but sets to trying to create order from chaos. She is helped by Duncan, the groundsman to whom she finds herself attracted, despite swearing off relationships.
I didn't realise until I started the book that this is related to the Wildflower Lock series that I'd read and loved. Bex is very straight laced but find herself beginning to be drawn into the village life, and Duncan in particular. Things naturally aren't as straightforward as she hoped, with a grumpy Laird to cope with, offset by the friendly villagers. I did really enjoy this book, but it does end up on a bit of a cliffhanger, hence half a star knocked off - but then rounded back up to 5* just because.
I received an advance copy of this book from the publisher through Netgalley, however this did not influence my review of the book.

I just loved this book so much so that I read this book in one sitting as I just couldn’t put it down. I loved this story and how it made me feel. It’s such a heartwarming read with amazing characters that make me wish that Highland Hall was a real place as it just seems like an amazing place to live, where people might know everything but it’s used for good as they have your back and just want you to be happy.
I would highly recommend reading this book as it’s an amazing heartwarming read with amazing characters.
I would like to thank Boldwood Books and NetGalley for giving me the opportunity to read and review this book early.

This was a really sweet and cozy closed door romance! I enjoyed it so much and it felt very relaxing to read during this chaotic moment in time right now.
I enjoyed reading so much of Bex traveling to Scotland and discovering the beauty of a small town. The vibes were vibing and I enjoyed the strong relationships within the town. It’s exactly what I would imagine it felt like if I ever traveled there.
What I do wish there was in this story was more depth. I feel like I barely got to know the relationship between Bex and Duncan. The banter and moments with them we did get were cute but it just all happened so so fast. And that Katty situation at the end felt unnecessary. I also didn’t like that it just kind of ended? I know there’s another book coming but I wanted answers for them as a couple in this book.
Overall, an enjoyable read! Thank you NetGalley, Boldwood Books and Hannah Lynn for the ARC in exchange of an honest review!

🤔 My Thoughts: This was a light-hearted romance set in the Scottish countryside with goats and nosy villagers. Bex tried to keep Duncan at a distance, but he kept asking her out until she finally gave in. Lorna and Fergus were their relationship cheerleaders while Duncan's ex Katty tried to get him back. There was a misunderstanding that caused Bex to pack up her stuff to return to London, but her friends swoop in to keep her there with Duncan. In the epilogue, their relationship was unsure because of the long distance, but they'll work it out. Ruby and Kenna were the MVPs🐕🐈!

🙏🏾 Thanks to NetGalley, Boldwood Books, and Hannah Lynn for this ARC! I voluntarily give my honest review, and all opinions are my own.

A funny and sweet story . Bex is an accountant working in a big company and waiting for a promotion and then her boss tells her that she has to go to Scotland and do the bookkeeping of the estate of a friend of his for the next 2 months . When she arrives at Highland Hall she realizes that she will be living in a castle with a grumpy old man and his five dogs which one of them Ruby is always by her side . Then there is the groundskeeper Duncan MacDuffrey who from the start seems to like her . When her relationship with Duncan starts his ex fiancee comes back with a socking revelation . Will she have her happy end in Highlands ?
I received this book from netgalley , the author and the publisher as an ARC . Thank you . All thoughts and opinions are my own .

Bex Barker is a strait laced accountant and when instead of a promotion she was expecting her boss asks for a favour. He wants her to go help a friend in the highlands of Scotland. She meets Duncan the groundskeeper who slowly worms his way into her affections, but surely she’s not even considering staying in the highlands her life us in London isn’t it?
Brilliantly written and loved the nod to the wildflower lock series.

This was a really sweet read. I would describe it as “kitschy” in a Hallmark type of way except with a lot more meat on the bones so to speak.
It was well written with very short chapters making it an easy and quick read. The best part about it was the imagery created from the descriptions of Scotland. It made you want to drop everything and jump on a plane.
It’s the rare case where you get exactly what you are offered in the books description! I look forward to more from the author.
It’s a perfect fluffy summer romance book to pass the time!
It comes out June 30th from Boldwood Books.
I am thankful to have gotten a complimentary eARC from Boldwood Books through NetGalley to read which gave me the opportunity to voluntarily leave a review.
My rating system since GoodReads doesn’t have partial stars
⭐️ Hated it
⭐️⭐️ Had a lot of trouble, prose issues, really not my cup of tea (potentially DNF’d or thought about it)
⭐️⭐️⭐️ Meh, it was an ok read but nothing special
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Really enjoyed it! Would recommend to others
