My second look at this new franchise of junior biographies, and I still can't rate it too highly. There's a difference between this and the Dolly Parton one – here we don't get the year things happened as headers, just in the text. But the text is still broken up, as if a whole page of writing is beyond us (and that's being generous – with these page-long chapters a good chunk is the headline each and every time, so nothing is a full page). The obvious rival to this lot is much more fluid, and a shorter, quicker read as well. I remain unconvinced of these having much success.

Thanks to NetGalley and Cider Mill Press for an advanced reading copy of baby biographies: LeBron James. This book was released to retailer on July 8, 2024.
I am an elementary school librarian and I will buy this for my library. It’s perfect for younger readers who can read independently but still need lots of pictures and small paragraphs. The information on LeBron James was accurate and enough for learners to get a basic timeline of his life. Students will be able to learn nonfiction text features as well from this book. A great introductory biography!!!

Even as an adult, I love Baby Biographies and the introduction to significant characters it provides for children.
Baby Biographies: LeBron James is a fun and engaging way to introduce kids to this sports legend. The story is simple but inspiring, and the bright illustrations really grab your attention. Compared to others in the series, the language here feels a bit more advanced—great for slightly older kids. The lessons of dependability and persistence learned from LeBron are a great lesson for any child!

I saw Baby Biographies and immediately wanted to see if it would be a good addition to my classroom. Lucky for me, Netgalley was able to give me a copy for review for an honest opinion.
I specialize in reading for K-5th-grade students who may have a little trouble. One of my main goals is finding books that will make my students excited to read, and I know my younger students will love this book! This is a great way for kids to learn more about their favorite ball player, and a great lesson plan tool at the same time. I'm excited to make this a part of our classroom library.

ARC Review:
This book is the perfect introductory biography for kids! Not only does it share information about LeBron James, but it also shows a timeline of his life and legacy. Baby Biographies are perfect for those who do and don’t know about the people that they are reading about.

Baby Biographies: Lebron James is the perfect starting point if you want to introduce famous sports figures to your kid. It explain Lebron's life in a simple way and it captures his essence perfectly. The illustrations and the colors used for the text pages catch the eye and hold the attention. The style of the illustrator, in my opinion, is perfect for this concept.
Compared to other titles from the Baby Biographies collection, this might be more suitable for a slightly older audience. The language is a little more advanced.

A good early biography of Lebron James. Pages include a brief description of a moment in his life and the importance of that event. A good early biography for young children who may want to learn more about an individual. Recommended for PreK - 1

It is a great starting point to introduce biographies of iconic celebrities to younger readers and the way it is presented and set out is extremely friendly and appealing to a younger reader. I particularly love the vibrant and colourful images throughout that really catch the eye and will hold the attention of children. I think holding the attention is crucial with these kind of books and it will keep them engaged and attentive.

Great biography for pre-k-1 or as a shared reading experience. It’s organized well with highlight feature and childlike illustrations. Very accessible and will make a great series! LeBron James is a popular athlete and a smart choice to start off with.

Baby LeBron, babyish LeBron.
Aimed for babies with extra cute illustrations, this bio is a great intro to reading, biographies, basketball and LeBron James.
Yet, if you’re a fan of any of the above, I highly recommend this book no matter what your age is because it is not only for babies.

I received a copy of this eBook from netGalley for a honest review.
I didn't know much about LeBron James until reading this book. He seems like an accomplished basketball player and good man. Someone to aspire to be like. This book is a great introduction to LeBron and a wonderful story.

The illustration was super cute. I was expecting this book to have simple language and *literally* be for babies (I clicked intending to potentially gift this to a newborn as their first book) nonetheless I think young sports fans and their dad’s would definitely enjoy the opportunity to read about LeBron before bed.
