This was such a fun, twisty read! While it took a little while to fully hook me, once it picked up, I was completely glued to the pages. The suspense builds gradually and then the twists just keep coming. I never knew what was coming next, which made it impossible to put down.
Amanda Brittany did a great job weaving together past and present, with layered characters and small-town vibes that really set the mood. Annie’s journey back to Ridgewater is full of secrets, creepy neighbors, and chilling discoveries, and just when you think you’ve figured it out, there’s another curveball.
Highly recommend if you’re into psychological thrillers with emotional depth, and plenty of “wait, what?!” moments.
Thank you Netgalley and Boldwood Books for the ARC!

Twelve years after her best friend Giselle’s tragic death, Annie has stayed far from Ridgewater until her brother is injured in an eerily similar accident. Drawn back home, Annie finds old wounds still festering.
Giselle’s mother remains haunted and unsettling, while their old friend Natalie is obsessed with uncovering the truth. When the two discovered another girl went missing around the same time, questions resurface: Was Annie’s brother involved? And what was that voice whispering “let me out” behind a locked door?
As dark secrets come to light, Annie realizes the past isn’t done with her, and this time, it could cost her life.

This book effectively maintains a sense of suspense from beginning to end. As the mystery unfolds, the pool of possible suspects continues to grow, leaving Annie and Natalie feeling no closer to the truth. The suspense intensifies with each chapter, building toward a conclusion that’s both startling and deeply unsettling. I found that it had many elements in play, so I sometimes had to go back and reread to keep everything clear. And although the ending caught me off guard, it felt a little hurried and could have been explored more thoroughly. That said, it was an absorbing, twist-filled read that held my attention all the way through.
Thank You @Netgalley and @Boldwood Books for allowing me to review this book.

A very easy and quick read that held my attention from the very beginning and was hard to put down. Short chapters made it easy to understand and remember what was going on at all times throughout the different perspectives. Every time I thought I had figured out the twist, I was taken in a whole different direction. It was entertaining from start to finish and I really enjoyed it.

I was not a huge fan of this book. It is just not my cup of tea. If you are big into thrillers/mysteries, you will probably love this book. It does have a really good twist in it. This book is set in the UK so be mindful of that. Amanda Brittany is a good writer; however, this is just not the type of book I typically like.

This month is all about ARCs for me and all of them are ✨unaliving it✨ so far!
I can't stop thinking about this book, that one twist and all the times I was worried for no reason.
"Let me out" is a multiple timeline and multiple POV thriller taking place in a small town. There is a scary house no one visits, a hooded shadow in the woods, mysterious accidents, secrets and sins from the past... and everyone is a suspect! 💀🌿
I adore this kind of stories, because I have no idea what's going on until the very end. My favourite thrillers are those I am not sure if all the events are weirdly connected or if there are some unnatural forces intervening. I must admit that the beginning left me wondering if the book was for me or no, but I was hooked after a few chapters and finished it all in one day. Yes, I was awake until dawn. I needed answers... and was a bit afraid to turn the lights off without knowing the truth 😁😁
This is my first book ever by Amanda Brittany but my Amazon cart is now full of her work. If that doesn't prove how much I loved "Let me out", no review will.

Annie stopped coming home to Ridgewater over 12 years ago. She left for university, on track to be a doctor, and to escape the death of her childhood friend, Giselle. She returns after receiving a letter from her mother, letting her know about the injury to her brother, Elliot, who is currently paralyzed and mute.
Coming home to Fairy Cottage, she finds that her mother still believes in fairies and leaves the door unlocked. Elliot is in his childhood room, silent and still, and only sometimes opens his eyes to noise. Reconnecting with her old friend Natalie, Annie is pulled into the mystery of the past, of what happened the night that Giselle died. At the same time, another woman is searching for her long-lost sister, who also disappeared 12 years prior.
On top of unraveling that night, Annie is pulled to Giselle's mother. She was never allowed into Giselle's house, but now Margot invites her in, asks her to dinner, and starts behaving even weirder than before.

Well, damn Amanda Brittany, you really did that.
The twists and turns of Let Me Out were unexpected in every way. I was a little bored at first, assuming I knew what was going on, but as the days passed, and Annie revealed more and more about the past, the deeper I was intrigued. Brittany knows how to bring the audience in, let them guess the twists, and then turn everything upside down.
This is a fantastic thriller about mothers, children, and the secrets of a small town.
Thanks to NetGalley and the publishers for the opportunity to read and review this book.

Thank you to Netgalley for my ARC copy of Let Me Out by Amanada Brittany.
This was an excellent read that I thoroughly enjoyed, while it was a bit slow to start, when it took off it was almost like a freight train that forgot to stop.
The writing was fast-paced and full of twists and turns. I was hooked from the very first page and finished ths n one sitting. The suspense was nail-biting and had me on the edge of my seat, I could not put it down and was invested in finding out what was going on.
I genuinely thought to myself at least 101 times `aha, I have it figured out`, yea let me tell you I wasn`t even remotely close, that ending I didn`t see it coming at all, I genuinely had to go back and re-read it, I was full sure I had read it wrong.
Overall I loved this book and would highly recommend.

The story follows Annie, who returns home after twelve years to care for her brother following a serious accident. But Ridgewater is more than just her childhood home—it’s also the place where her best friend Giselle tragically died, and where Annie's life was forever changed.
As Annie reconnects with old friends and faces the memories she left behind, she begins to uncover unsettling truths about that long-ago night. When she learns that another girl went missing around the same time as Giselle’s death, her curiosity turns to suspicion. The more she digs, the more she wonders: was her brother’s accident really just an accident—or something more sinister?
This book gripped me immediately and Annie, the main character, is someone who is easy to like and feel empathy for. Her return to Ridgewater is not just as a result of her brother's accident, but also circumstances in her own life. However, it is clear that she puts others before herself and we see this throughout the narrative. The book has a web of tangled narratives, from a range of eccentric, damaged and frightened characters, lots of echoes from the past causing ripples in the present. It takes concentration at times to remember and understand all the links and there are plenty of red herrings. That said, the twist of this book is completely unexpected. Definitely a book that readers won't want to out down until they've got all the answers!

Sixty-four chapters of a psychological mystery of monumental proportions.
Reading Let Me Out, I assumed one thing and was mistaken.
Each character is richly fleshed out and relatable. The storyline has all the twists and turns of a mountainous road, and I loved that.
The ending was a moment that I didn't see coming.

ARC review
After her brother was hurt in an accident, Annie goes back to her hometown.
She avoided going there in the last 12 years, after her friend died in an accident similar to her brothers.
I received an advance review copy from Boldwood Books (via Netgalley).
Opinions from this review are completely my own.
This is a psychological thriller full of twists that kept me entertained.
It is the first book from Amanda Brittany that I read so I did not know what to expect.
There are many secrets that are revealed and a lot of suspects.
I liked the overall atmosphere that was a bit scary and full of tension.
The book has a dual timeline, with flashback chapters and others that take place in present.
I also liked the writing style and that the plot was not predictable.

This book had me hooked from the beginning and didn’t let me go. I kept saying one more chapter. It was very suspenseful and I couldn’t put it down. The twists and turns were amazing and there’s no way I would have figured them out. This is the first book I've read by Amanda Brittany and I was hooked. She developed the story with intense detail and some pretty crazy twists! A great read.
Thank you to the publisher and NetGalley.

A Sinister Web..
What connects the dead and the missing in Ridgewater - and is there about to be another victim? A tangled and sinister web is woven in this twisty psychological suspense. With a firm and atmospheric sense of place and a well crafted cast of characters populating a plot with an underlying sense of menace, comes a dark, pacy and mysterious read.

Annie leaves her lackluster life to return home after her brother has a terrible accident that has rendered him immobile and non-verbal but the doctors cannot figure out why. When she returns home to her childhood home to help her mother and her brother, she had no idea the tangled web that she would encounter and subsequently help unravel.
A reclusive neighbor, a childhood friend, a lovely man she meets at a local bar and an Aussie woman who comes looking for her missing sister all encounter Annie and their lives are intertwined in ways they could never have imagined!
This book was such a good read! The chapters were short, I love that and just cannot help it! I enjoyed all of the characters, even the nutty ones-ha! I usually can figure out twists ahead of time but there were quite a few that I did not see coming and one that made my jaw drop and would NEVER have guessed!!
Thank you Boldwood Books for providing this book for review consideration via NetGalley. All opinions are my own.

Annie returns home after receiving a letter from her mom informing her that her brother has been in an accident. Her life is already turned upside down, and she rushes to his side, determined to figure out what really happened to him. As she delves deeper into the mystery, long-buried secrets resurface, threatening to expose her family’s darkest secrets. A friend comes forward with a secret she has been holding onto, demanding answers. But the more they uncover, the more the situation spirals out of control.
This book is an absolute page-turner. I finished it in a single day and couldn’t put it down. It reminded me of V.C. Andrews’s “Flowers in the Attic,” and I thoroughly enjoyed every minute of reading it. The shocking twist at the end was truly unexpected and left me in awe. I highly recommend this book to anyone who enjoys a good mystery, and I’m definitely looking forward to reading more of her works.

Thank you to Boldwood Books and Netgalley for this ARC. This was my first time reading anything by Amanda Brittany. Let Me Out was a face paced thriller told from different points of view. It kept me interested and the end was full of twists that kept me guessing and rather shocked. I look forward to reading more by this author!

Amazing book. The twists and turns were Incredible, I did figure some of it out however not to the extent of knowing what was going to happen.
I thought the characters were great, I love how it spoke about mental health and how badly it can affect someone.
Overall a great book, highly recommend!

Great twisty thriller, with characters that interact in ways that lead to unexpected mysteries over time. Wonderful writing from an excellent storyteller.

A Great read!
It has the creepy vibe to it. Annie is a doctor in London when she gets a call to say she is needed at the home she grew up in as her brother Elliot has been in an accident and is paralysed, however doctors are hopeful he will recover.
Lots of secrets in this small town, will Annie ever find out what happened to her childhood friend Giselle? Lots of twists in this, it certainly kept my attention. Highly recommend.

This is an amazing thriller. I have stayed up all night to finish. Definite vibes of Frieda McFadden with all the twists and turns. A must read for fans of psychological thrillers

Amanda Brittany’s “Let Me Out” is the first book I read of hers. Annie returns to her hometown of Ridgewater after she finds out her brother, Elliot, was injured in an accident six weeks prior. Her mother is the one who lets her know. Annie’s already on leave from her job as a doctor and goes back to Ridgewater because the circumstances of Elliot’s accident are similar to the night she lost her childhood friend, Giselle.
Her brother survived his accident, but cannot speak or move. None of the medical tests show injuries that would explain Elliot’s current condition so the doctors are hopeful he’ll make a full recovery. Soon after Annie’s return, she runs into Natalie. Annie and Natalie were friends as teenagers until Natalie abruptly stopped talking to her. Annie has always wondered why Natalie ended their friendship.
This book is made up of three parts. There are chapters that serve as flashbacks that help explain what’s occurring in the present day. I found the introduction of a missing girl into the plot to be a little jarring. Maybe I missed it, but I don’t recall the girl’s name or disappearance being mentioned until the middle of the book.
I enjoyed the author’s writing style. I found the ending of the book a little disjointed. Answers were given, but I found at least one of them to be slightly far-fetched in nature.
Overall, I recommend this book. Thank you to the publisher and NetGalley for my ARC.
