Love love love that this book now exists as a resource for foster families. It does such a good job of explaining things in a way kids can understand but also keeping gospel hope at the center!

God Love Kids by Jamie C. Finn is a nice book about the broken world and foster children. The illustrations were basic and seemed kind of muddy. The illustrations seemed to blend together.

The book explains how the world is broken but there is always hope. Even though life gets in the way and some parents need help God still loves all his children.

I really wanted to like the book and thought about rating it a 2 stars. I, however, rated this book a 3 stars. I know others might like it. I think it dwelled too much in the beginning about the world being broken. In the middle it goes into foster families and breaks away from mentioning of "God". In the end God is brought back up. I felt as if I was reading two different books.

Thank You NetGallery and Baker Books for the eARC.

Ended up dnfing this. This can give the wrong image to kids about what is happening over seas. It causes them to be blind to the hard situations.

This left me in tears. Not only is this book good for children in foster care but also for children who may be around those in care. Jamie did an amazing job presenting this book in a non threatening/scary way as well as presenting the gospel at the end. I did receive an ARC from netgalley but all review thoughts are my own. I will be pre-ordering this book asap!
