First off, look at that cover! It gives off suspenseful vibes right off the bat. Secondly, the storyline captures the reader's attention from the beginning. Luna, our heroine, is to meet her mentor when her first-ever and lost love comes waltzing into the restaurant while she is waiting, thus drawing me into the story and not letting me go. Lastly, the way the author develops the story, with its suspenseful twists and turns, plus a great cast of characters, kept me riveted until the last page. *I was given a copy of this book by the publisher, and this is my honest opinion.*

Girl Lost is the first book I’ve read from Kate Angelo. She proved to be an excellent storyteller. The storyline. The action. The mystery. All set in Florida. What a suspenseful read. What a great first book of The King Legacy series. Looking forward to book two!!
I received a complimentary copy of the book from the publisher. The opinions expressed are completely my own.

Whew! This book is packed with so many layers and emotions I'm not sure where to start.
When I began reading this story I did not realize it is the first book in a series. I am so excited to learn this is book 1 in the King Legacy Series by the gifted and talented Kate Angelo!
From page one Angelo pulled me in to the lives of Luna Rosati and Corbin King. Action and suspense fill this book and it doesn't stop until you turn the last page. This author definitely left me wanting more. It has all the things I enjoy in a great story: action, adventure, suspense, tension, emotions, intrigue, uncertainty, growing faith, repentance, everyday life. There are things about this story that are a bit disturbing to imagine. I won't say more than that as I sure don't want to spoil the fun for anyone else.
The thing I wrestled with in this story was the choice to use "given up for adoption" rather than "placed for adoption". I know this is a personal terminology preference.
If you like romantic suspense this is worth reading. I love how this author put this story together and how the title applies so well.
Thank you to NetGalley and Revell for the opportunity to read this captivating story. I look forward to it being available for public consumption and recommending it to my contacts! Well done, Kate Angelo! All opinions are my own.

You will be kept guessing until the end - this could happen today 2025!
Luna Rosati was back in her hometown of Millie Beach, Florida after an absence of 18 years. She was waiting on her friend Stryker in a small neighborhood cafe when in walked her ex boyfriend Corbin - whom she'd had a baby with whom she had given up for adoption when he refused to help her raise the little girl.
She watched Stryker emerge from his Jeep, he was the one who had rescued her from a bitter and angry street life and helped turn her into a government agent. All of a sudden a black SUV pulls up and three dark figures emerge with balaclavas and machine guns, Stryker gets tazed and shoved in the back seat. Luna and Corbin run after the SUV but it is long gone.
Stryker had formed Luna, Corbin and many others into a family when he took them into his Warrior Program at the MMA gym when they were teenagers. Now it was their turn to help save him from a group that would maim and kill anyone who got in their way!
Then Corbin and Luna were checking out leads on the case when a house exploded while they were in it....

Woven through this second-chance romance is a pulse-pounding suspense plot threaded with a powerful theme of forgiveness and grace through faith, showing how God can redeem even our deepest regrets. Girl Lost by Kate Angelo delivers a fast-paced, high-stakes ride with a twist that sends the story racing in an entirely unexpected direction. Luna and Corbin’s shared history adds depth and heart to the action, making this both an emotional and adrenaline-filled read.

“Forgiveness isn’t about deserving but about grace. About letting go of the anger, the bitterness, the need for control.” (won’t post quote until publication)
Within a few pages, new-to-me author Kate Angelo had captured my interest and her fast-paced, gripping storyline had my heart racing and skipping beats! I knew then that this was going to be my next favourite series.
Angelo’s focus is on finding our way home. She highlights the baggage from her characters’ past and how it affects their present decisions. She introduces us to Luna Rosati and Corbin King who have a shared past full of heartache and shows us the value of forgiveness and redemption.
Building on this thread, Angelo adds kidnapping, ethical issues involving medical technology, and a race against time search for a missing person. As if that weren’t enough, she blends in themes of forgiveness, redemption, and grace. The result is a 5-star pacey read worthy of all the stars. I’m so excited to continue with this fantastic series, The King Legacy series.
I loved the introspection: (won’t post until publication)
“How much space had bitterness taken up?”
“How many opportunities for healing had slipped by?”
I loved the spotlight on grudges and broken things: (won’t post until publication)
“Grudges were heavy things. He’d been carrying his own for so long he barely noticed it anymore.”
“Maybe some bridges were simply too damaged to ever be rebuilt.”
Waiting for the next installment is the worst part.
I was gifted this copy and was under no obligation to provide a review.

Girl Lost is the first in a new series and I was immediately drawn to the book based on the intriguing cover and plot synopsis. If you’re a fan of police procedural or Christian romantic suspense then this is definitely a book you’ll want to check out.
I am not a huge fan of police procedural and for some reason wasn’t super compelled to keep reading this one. I appreciated that the author didn’t shy away from presenting the difficult circumstances in this life while also pointing to gospel truth.
Though this book wasn’t for me, that doesn’t mean it won’t be right for you. Thank you to the publisher for an opportunity to read this ahead of publication.

great story. however kind of interesting that this couple had a kid . great amazing cover. I wish it was first person

Suspense on suspense! This read had me tense, guessing, and living for every twist. It played out in my mind like a movie — one of those you stay up late to finish. If you love thrillers with just enough unpredictability to keep you locked in, this is it.

This is a high intensity book about Luna, a federal agent and a woman on a mission to find the little girl she put up for adoption 20 years ago. Along the way, she has a friend who is kidnapped and runs into her lost love, Corbin, a detective and father of her baby. They haven’t seen or spoken to each other since they were teenagers. They’ll have to solve the kidnapping of their friend in order to find their daughter, as he oversaw the adoption of their child.
First, I love that the main characters are over 30. Luna is 36, close to my age than most main characters in books today. I get so tired of reading books where the main characters are between the ages of 19-24. It's hard to relate to them when I'm 40.
The story is a little unrealistic at times, coming from a LE family. But it’s all part of the story and easily overlooked. Set in south Florida, I’m familiar with the area as we have family in the same place, Broward County. I found that the book got more and more interesting as it progressed! I started reading faster and faster as I got toward the end.
This book ends on somewhat of a cliffhanger, so I anticipate more books to come. But it has a nice ending to where loose ends are mostly tied up and the story is just continuing. I'll definitely pick up book #2 when it comes out. The characters are a nice team that work well together. The team is really likable!
As far as Christian content, we see glimpses of Christianity. The characters pray and at times struggle with their faith. But it's not really a major part of the book. However, the book is clean, which I appreciate.
If you like Christian suspense, true crime (although this story is fictional), mystery, action, second chance romance, and found families, you’ll enjoy this book!
Thank you to Bethany House for sending this book to me for a review!

Wow… just WOW. Girl Lost had me hooked from page one and refusing to put it down.
I loved the mix of heart-pounding action, second-chance romance, and raw, emotional stakes. Luna and Corbin’s story is messy, real, and so addictive. And that ending? Let’s just say I’m counting down the days until the next book drops because I need answers, like, yesterday.
If you’re looking for a Christian romantic suspense that will keep you glued to the pages and gasping out loud, Girl Lost is your next read.
Disclaimer: I received an Advance Reader Copy (ARC) of this book, and this is my honest and unbiased review.

Don't start this book unless you want to be sucked in by a plot that doesn't stop from page one until nearly the end. From the moment I started the book, I cared deeply about the main characters and their race to save girls who were disappearing from the streets of Broward County, Florida. A found family of characters that reminds me of Dee Henderson's O'Malley series comes together to try to find these girls, and as in life, not all endings are happy. This is a story of resilence and forgiveness. Of rising above the past and crafting your own story. There's also a layer of love lost and found. I can't wait for the next installment in this series.

3.5 stars
Girl Lost by Kate Angelo gives me mixed feeling vibes. What I mean by this is the characters have a hurt that goes from their initial families and then bleed into a teenage relationship. Because of these two things happening during their transformative years, the two characters have tried to run and hide from their troubles their entire lives. Makes well-rounded characters. But of course, I'm a little curious, if when the relationship does come from and center, what foundation are they building their relationship on: Teenage love, hurts, or the new reality of themselves? So the romance kept the story moving, but I'm a little off about it. However, as for the suspense, it is a futuristic idea with science of why the girl has gone missing. There was plenty of chasing down leads to find where the missing girl is. I liked the concept of why the girl was taken. Plus, the story took roughly 40 percent to get started with searching for the reality of why the girl is missing. It is hinted at during the first part. Angelo spends a lot of time setting up the back story between the two main characters. Overall, Girl Lost by Kate Angelo did not keep me on the edge of my seat, and I am a little wondered about the two main characters starting a relationship again. They should have just put their toes into the waters to start the story.
I received a complimentary copy of Girl Lost by Kate Angelo from Revell Publishing through JustRead Tours, but the opinions stated are all my own.

Girl Lost is an action-packed book filled with lots of twists and turns, frustrations, regrets from the past, and ultimately, a gruesome discovery. Luna and Corbin have a second chance if they can break down the walls erected around their hearts 18 years earlier. As they work together to find their mentor, kidnapped in broad daylight, the walls start to crack. This is a fast-paced story fraught with danger and suspense. I am looking forward to what happens next.

The Biblical parable of the lost sheep is an apt opening for this mystery set in a small Florida town.
When bodies turn up, the grisly discovery only roils the ire of Luna Rosati and Corbin King, ex-lovers now both in law enforcement and reunited after 18 years apart. Luna believes their mentor, Stryker King, who fostered them as teens knows an important secret about their past but he, too, is missing.
For me, the drama between the exes is the undercurrent which drives the storyline. The feelings left unsaid and the regrets over decisions that can’t be taken back. What surprised me was the threading of faith in the characters’ actions and thoughts.
When telling a father that his missing daughter’s body has been discovered, Corbin thinks “How could God, a loving father, bear to see his children suffer like this?” It’s a sentiment that even the faithful struggle with.
This was a good read with flawed, broken characters and a medical thriller that really kicks into gear toward the end. Did I believe how neatly it all wrapped up for Luna and Corbin? Well, anyone who likes an HEA will appreciate it. After all, we all need hope, healing, and happy endings. Still, the final epilogue is a cliffhanger!
Thank you to #NetGalley, the publisher #RevellBooks, and the author #KateAngelo for the ARC of #GirlLost! I look forward to the next book!

The twists and turns this book takes will keep you guessing as well as on the edge of your seat. Guaranteed to keep your heart pounding along with heroes Luna and Corbin.
I received a copy of this book from the author. I was not required to give a positive review and all opinions expressed are my own.

This is a difficult read on many levels.
There is deep regret, abuse, teen pregnancy, and addictions. If you are recently recovering from any other above, this is a trigger warning.
We make the best decisions we can as we go through life. Both Luna and Corbin are living that reality.
This book is full of second chances, danger, and the reality of where are world is going trying to play God.
There are many lessons to be learned.
I received a complimentary copy of this book. My opinions are my own.

“God revealed his purpose in his own timing. It was up to each person to remain obedient, so he was standing right where he was supposed to be when God’s timing lined up.”
I have enjoyed Kate Angelo’s previous books from Sunrise Publishing and the author has clearly stepped it up with this book. From the first page, Luna and Corbin had me spellbound with their shared past, chemistry, and how they worked together. I loved Luna’s fierce independence, intelligence, and loyalty. Corbin’s tenacity, street smarts, and dedication to justice made him a fantastic hero. The plot was a fast-paced, adrenaline-pumped ride with tons of twists and turns. I totally did not expect the story to end up where it did and was floored by the intricate plot line. The theme of forgiveness and grace through faith ran strong throughout the story. How God turns ashes of mistakes and regrets into beauty was another major theme I loved. I can’t wait to read the next book about Tori and Blade.
If you enjoy romantic suspense, this is a must read. I received a complimentary copy courtesy of Revell via JustRead Tours and NetGalley and was under no obligation to post a positive comment. All opinions are my own.

Wow what a book. Girl Lost keeps you glued to your chair and your eyes focused on what happens next. Kate Angelo has another fantastic book. I received a complimentary copy from the publisher. All opinions expressed are my own.

This book starts and end with a bang. I will say that it is also a cliff hanger, there are unanswered questions.
The author gives us a lot, including printing human organs. There is a lot more going on here, with a strong theme of forgiveness.
We are searching for lost children, and what is exposed is heartbreaking!
I will be looking for more by this author.
