Firstly thank you Netgalley for this Arc
What a brilliant book by this author family saga at its best
Feel like you are actually in the story

Set in 1890's England A New Dawn for the Mill girls is an exciting and intense story of one woman's journey to help improve not only the production of her mill but also those who work the mill.
Verity Lockwood has spent much of her life being ignored by her family. When she returns to her fathers house after finishing school not only is her childhood home disorganized by her father fondness for alcohol but also the Mill that he runs is about to be bankrupt due to his inability to pay employees and creditors. Her father doesn't seem to want her help or advice.
However, when her father becomes ill she teams up with the mill manager Oliver Hardcastle to turn things around. Not only does production end up improving but Verity also comes up with other ideas such as tutoring the mill workers in reading. Over time Verity and Oliver start to care for each other but a miscommunication threatens their relationship and there are outside forces who feel threatened that Verity has managed to fix up the Mill.
Overall I was very impressed with this novel. It have off the vibe of Elizabeth Gaskell's novel North and South. The characters were indeed a pleasure as I enjoyed not only reading about Verity's adventure but also the adventures of some of the girls who worked there.
I received an arc copy from Netgalley and all opinions are of my own.
