I liked, but didn't love this book. It seemed like it something was missing. I would read another book by this author.

How to summarise this book in a few words:
- messy
- attraction
- steamy
- thrilling
A nice read to get out of a slump. The book definitely starts off with a bang with ebony.

It was a slow burn, yet I truly enjoyed this book! The narrators for sure bought this to life. To say this is my first read by her. It won't be my last at all.

The Divorcétante by Mia Heintzelman is a stylish and empowering romance that blends high-society drama with heartfelt personal growth. Ebony’s journey from scandal to self-discovery is both captivating and inspiring, and her chemistry with Lincoln adds irresistible tension. I thoroughly enjoyed this engaging and glamorous read and rated it five stars for its charm, wit, and emotional depth.

3.5⭐️ This story was a delightful mix of messy and classy, and I was hooked from the start. I really enjoyed seeing Ebony reinvent herself, especially with the added pressure of media scrutiny. Her growth was inspiring and gave the story an emotional core I truly appreciated.
The chemistry between Ebony and Lincoln was a highlight — their angst and playful banter made for an entertaining dynamic. I found myself smiling (and occasionally covering my eyes) during some of their more intense or cheeky moments. While their rekindled romance moved a bit quickly for my taste, it still felt authentic to their shared history.
The spice level was just right — bold without overshadowing the emotional journey. Overall, this was a captivating and enjoyable read that balanced drama, romance, and character development really well.
Looking forward to reading more from this author! Thank you to the publisher and NetGalley for the opportunity to read and review this book.

Thank you to NetGalley and Honey Blossom Press for this ARC.
This book follows Ebony Grace as she learns to let go of the past and embrace a new chapter as a Divorcétante, all while navigating the reemergence of a former lover in her life.
The concept of a Divorcétante was new and fascinating. I enjoyed how it was explored throughout the novel. Mia Heintzelman is definitely an author to watch out for. I look forward to reading more of her work especially in the Divatantes series.

Thank you to the publisher and netgalley for this ARC!
Starting off by saying this was a 3.5 rounded up for me - a solid read!
This story follows Ebony and she picks up the pieces of her life after divorcing a man she thought she’d have forever (Julian I HATE you I wish you nothing but the worst).
As she picks up those pieces, she runs into a Lincoln. This story follows Ebony as she tackles second chances, rebuilds her life, reclaims her personality and does so with her head held high. I think fans of housewives type dramas would love this read - I surely cheered for Ebony!

“The word on the street is, that I'm the word on the street.”
Ebony is that girl in Ellswood, GA. She has a booming event planning business, a notable marriage, and a longstanding debutante background. Once scandal breaks— and oh it is MESSY— she takes a small break from society, until she reemerges for a comeback planning thee society event of the year.
The Divorcétante is filled with family secrets, treachery & reinvention. The banter is good and I enjoyed Ebony and Lincoln having their second chance.

A romance full of reinvention, new beginnings, and loving out loud.
So many aspects of this romance were so well done. The tension between Ebony and Linc, the exploration of self after divorce, and gaining bravery to love someone on purpose, no matter who watches were just some amazing and well written aspects of this book. I loved the drama in the subplot, the confidence Ebony finds throughout the book, and the way Linc yearns for her nonstop.
The only critique I have is that some parts dragged on a bit for me in my reading experience. I would have loved for some bits to be edited down more, as the pace slows down in the middle of the book. Some parts of chapters felt unnecessary, or placed like an afterthought, and I think only keeping the parts that were written on purpose, to improve the reader experience, advance the plot, or build character relationships would make this book even better.
I would completely recommend this book to anyone who wants an inspiring romance about finding the love that was meant for you all along.
A huge thank you to Honey Blossom Press and Netgalley for this ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Thank you NetGalley and Mia for this advance copy This is my first book by this author and this book started off strong like a real housewives type of vibe and I enjoyed that but it quickly turned and that was a bummer . I really like the description of the MPOV he seems so sweet and Ebony is trying hard to deny her feelings for him. I think the slow burn was too slow and I lost interest. The villain seemed calculated at first and fizzled out by the end. Since this is my first read im willing to give the author one more try

It was so fun and I always have a good time with this author. I want so much more from her. This was a good time.

A cute, easy romance read about second chances and strong women. I enjoyed this book even though I found it slow at times. I loved the characters especially Ebony who is such a strong woman, love that. I also loved the chemistry between the two main characters.
Would recommend

A story filled with romance, scandal, secrets, betrayal, friendship, and self discovery.
I was intrigued by the premise of this book. But sometimes it was a bit…flat for me. I would’ve liked the romance between Ebony and Lincoln to be a bit less insta-love and more slow burn. Although, knowing these two had feelings for each other for the past 10 years, I did understand why their relationship came together a bit faster.
I did enjoy their chemistry. But it felt like one minute Ebony was saying no to having a relationship with him. And then the next they were together for real. So again, it just felt a bit anticlimactic and too fast for me. However, I did love their little self discovery tour Ebony went on throughout this book.
We first meet her when she discovers her husband of 10 years was cheating on her, and ends with the happily ever after she always wanted. But there were many dramatic moments and obstacles in between it all.
I thought the dramatics were fun. I never would’ve guessed what was really going on there behind the scenes, and it was interesting to watch it all play out. Overall, I’d say this book was filled with both swoony and silly moments. Lots of scandal and some betrayal. But lots of love and friendship.

I will go so far as to say that Ebony is one of my favorite characters now. She is strong and smart. She wants to be happy but life takes a turn for the worst when her husband cheats on her and a huge public scandal ensues. The secondary characters are just as fabulous. I liked them all, except for one. We are supposed to feel prickly toward her though.
She is an event planer and has to perform her job which is a wedding that is very public. All the while, Lincoln the architect is frustrating, as they have a history together from way back! This story has a nice second chance vibe and flows nicely. There truly isn’t a dull moment. Heintzelman really knows how to keep us waiting with romantic anticipation for IT to finally happen the way Ebony envisions it.
If you’re looking for a cute, romantic HEA, this is your book. It is the first in the Divatantes Series. There isn’t a book by Heintzelman that I don’t like; full of scandal, emotion and always teasing the promise the main characters get their sought after love.
Thank you to NetGalley and Honey Blossom Press for the ARC of this book.

Thank you so much for this ARC for review.
I LOVED this book. Lincoln and Ebony are just *swoon*. I loved the second chance romance that came out of this.
The book opens with Ebony in a high profile marriage -- that ends in a highly public divorce. As a wedding event planner, she's not quite sure how to rebrand herself and get back out there. Her ex-husband's sister hires her to plan and manage her wedding-- which is the perfect high profile wedding to get back into the game, even if it comes with a price.
The shenanigans that come with this story keeps you reading and wondering "what's next". And when Lincoln and Ebony happen to reconnect along the way... *chef kiss!*
Lincoln has definitely added himself on my book boyfriend wishlist!
You'll love this book if you love second chance romances, a bit of drama, a FMC that rediscovers herself, found family and fun spicy scenes (and the tension leading to them!!)
I tandem read this with the audio -- and JY Kora and Midnite Michael really brought Ebony and Lincoln to life!

The Divorcétante was a fun, heartfelt, second-chance romance with a high-society heroine you feel connected to. Ebony was a strong character with great friends who stuck by her after her divorce. I was happy to see how Ebony progressed..
The pace was quick and just kept drawing me in. I didn't want to set my kindle down once I started reading.
Thank you, Netgalley for an advanced copy in exchange for my thoughts and opinions.

Ebony Grace Livingston is that woman—poised, brilliant, and razor-sharp, with a backbone forged in the fires of high-society expectations. What I loved most about her is that even in the face of betrayal and public scandal, she doesn’t crumble—she recalibrates. Watching her reclaim her narrative and pivot with grace (and some very human stumbles) was nothing short of inspiring.
Mia Heintzelman builds a world that oozes exclusivity—whispered secrets over brunch, loyalty exchanged like currency, and reputations hanging by a hashtag. And Ebony? She navigates it all while building something real: self-trust. The slow-burn tension between her and Lincoln Bridges is delicious—bright, layered, and never overshadows her journey. He challenges her, yes, but never defines her.
Some pacing moments felt a bit rushed, especially near the end, but that didn’t detract from how much I enjoyed seeing a character so unapologetically step into her power. This book is about reinvention, yes—but more than that, it’s about remembering who you were before the world told you who to be.

This cover is beautiful. I enjoyed the writing and literraly laughed out loud at some of the one liners. I loved the drama and mess. I loved seeing Ebony's growth after her divorce. The relationships she had with her friends was beautiful and refreshing. I love seeing friends being supportive and loving. The relationship between the FMC and the MMC was great. I felt the chemistry.

The Divorcétante is a fun, heartfelt, high-society second-chance romance with a heroine you cannot help but cheer for. Ebony Grace Livingston—once the flawless debutante, now the very public divorcée—steps out from behind other people’s expectations and rebuilds on her own terms. I loved how the book balances champagne-gloss settings with real emotional stakes; Ebony’s journey through betrayal, image rehab, and self-worth felt real, relatable and empowering.
Her chemistry with Lincoln Bridges delivers a satisfying emotional payoff without rushing the plot. I expected they’d find their way back to one another (second-chance readers know the assignment!), but the path still felt earned. The romance heat level lands in the “just right” zone—intimate and on-page enough to satisfy, but never overwhelming.
The pacing worked well for me: steady, engaging, and easy to follow.. Secondary characters appear, but the emotional weight stays with Ebony (and Lincoln), keeping the story focused. Recommend for readers who enjoy contemporary Black romance with luxe settings, self reinvention, and women reclaiming their shine—fans of authors like Tia Williams, Kennedy Ryan, and Danielle Allen should take note.
I received a complimentary eARC of this title via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. Pub Date: June 24, 2025. All thoughts are my own.

Mia never misses, and The Divorcétante is another gem in her crown. I’ve always love how she brings her characters to life — layered, vulnerable, and brimming with heart — and Ebony and Lincoln did not disappoint. Their back-and-forth was deliciously sharp, full of heat, tension, and those perfect “just kiss already” moments that keep you turning the pages.
Ebony’s journey from society’s scandal to her own fierce comeback was inspiring, and watching her reclaim her life on her terms was the heart of the story. And Lincoln? Whew. He was infuriating in the best way — the kind of love interest you argue with and fall for. Their chemistry crackled, especially as old wounds and unfinished business gave way to something real.
This book felt like stepping into a world of Black luxury — with all the emotional payoff I love from Mia’s writing. An empowering, steamy, and addictive read!
