Book 3 in the Ivy Falls series following Piper and newcomer, Ford Foster.
I've enjoyed seeing Piper work through her sobriety since she first appeared in Book 1 with Beck and Torran and then again throughout Tessa and Manny's story in Book 2. So it was nice to read her story and she fell for such a lovely guy - the ultimate book boyfriend!
I did not like the nickname "Bird" though. I don't feel like it fit with the story and it felt forced somehow, either the need to have a sweet nickname or the fact a better one couldn't be found. It would have been better for him to call her his hummingbird or something to do with her love of music/theatre/acting.
Ford is a great character, he's from old money but he's not a snob and he genuinely cares about his work as a doctor and his work in Senegal onboard the hospital ship. But when he moves to Ivy Falls he discovers that everyone there wants to get to know him and wants him to actively be a part of their community, which he embraces fully.
It's always fun to return to Ivy Falls and I always picture Stars Hollow from Gilmore Girls when the town is described.
I'm looking forward to the next book in the series - will it be Pete and Lauren? Or maybe Gray, now that Ford is part of the story.
Thanks to NetGalley and Hera Books for the opportunity to read and review this ARC.

The story of Ford and Piper. He is only in town temporarily and while Piper does not like him in the beginning as they call for each other will be want to stay around? I liked how it was told from both points of view.

I enjoy this read so much, I cannot fault it. the storyline was engaging and the story was written in a way that kept me engaged while reading. There is a the underlying substance abuse past of the main FMC that is explored tastefully. The relationship between Ford and Piper was developed naturally and didn't feel forced or rushed. It was such a sweet read and looking forward to checking out Amys other works 😊

Thanks to the Publisher and Netgalley for an early review copy.
I loved this book.
Piper hasn’t had an easy life, she’s been through a lot and is now back in Ivy Falls enjoying her life and what she does.
Ford is in town for a short while and Piper initially wants nothing to do with him as they briefly met when she was going through a rough patch. He’s there to cover the local GP while he’s on holiday.
Ford’s parents are nothing like Piper’s parents were, he is a caring, charming person.
So will Piper and Ford become friends and get to know each other better?
I highly recommend this book.

Thisis a tender, emotionally uplifting small-town romance about second chances, redemption, and learning to believe in love again. Amy True delivers a heartfelt story filled with warmth, hope, and genuine emotional depth.
Piper Townsend is determined to build a new life in Ivy Falls, though the weight of her past still lingers. When Dr. Crawford “Ford” Foster arrives to cover for the local doctor, Piper is rattled—he’s a familiar face from a time she’d rather forget. But in a town as close-knit as Ivy Falls, avoiding each other proves impossible.
What unfolds is a slow-burning romance built on healing and mutual understanding. Piper’s vulnerability and strength make her a relatable and compelling heroine, while Ford’s kindness and quiet persistence give their relationship a solid emotional foundation. Their chemistry is undeniable, but what makes their story shine is the emotional trust that gradually develops between them.
The small-town charm of Ivy Falls adds an extra layer of comfort and familiarity, with a strong sense of community that makes you want to linger in its pages. This is a moving, hopeful romance about finding love where you least expect it—and finally letting yourself be loved in return.

This is a heartwarming story that pulls you right into the charming small town of Ivy Falls. The book is filled with engaging characters and a plot that keeps you guessing. True's writing style makes it easy to get lost in the story, feeling every emotion alongside the characters.
What stands out most is the vivid portrayal of Ivy Falls itself. True paints a picture so clear, you can almost smell the crisp autumn air and taste the homemade pies. The town isn't just a backdrop; it's a character in its own right, influencing the lives and decisions of everyone who lives there.
This is such a delightful read that will leave you feeling good. It's a perfect escape for anyone looking for a sweet, engaging story about love, community, and finding your place in the world. Definitely recommend it if you need a cozy read!

I just loved this book and this series, they are just amazing! You just wish you could live there, yes everyone knows everything but they all have your back no matter what. This book is heartbreaking but also heartwarming as well and it shows that if you are lucky enough to have good people in your life that love you then you are very blessed. I loved all the characters in this book as they are all so unique in their own ways but are there for you and also others as well.
I would highly recommend reading this book and the others in this series as they are all just so amazing and have amazing characters as well as being heartbreaking but also heartwarming.
I would like to thank Hera and NetGalley for giving me the opportunity to read and review this book early.

3.5 ⭐️
This was a very sweet story and a lovely read.
I haven’t read any of the previous books in the series and whilst I was interested in those characters stories I felt like the author did a great job of giving a brief background without going into tons of detail or making me think I was missing something- the balance was really nice which made it work well as a stand alone.
I liked both Piper and Ford and loved the town of Ivy Falls- it was a character in itself!
Ford comes to Ivy Falls to cover for their Doctor for 3 months, and has very briefly met Piper before. She has had a really tough time but has turned her life around and is doing much better, but initially wants nothing to do with him. Ford is gentle and keeps showing up for her- first to form a friendship but then they both admit their feelings are stronger, but they’re on borrowed time before Ford has to fulfil a contract overseas, so agree to just keep things casual.
The way their relationship developed was lovely and I hope if there are more Ivy Falls books we get to see them again in the future.
Thank you to the publisher and NetGalley for this ARC.

This was the first book I have read by Amy and was happy to receive an advance copy. Ivy Falls sounds like the place you want to live. Piper was brought up there and moved away with her parents and brother Beck but is back again after having a difficult few years. Ford has taken over while the local doctor is away travelling but is signed up to go back to Senegal to work on a ship helping the locals and train young students. Piper is attracted to the gorgeous Ford as soon as she sets eyes on him but she doesn’t want to get involved especially when she hears he is only there for a short time. Ford can’t take his eyes off Piper when he sees her in the book shop. Piper stays with her brother and fiancé in the old family house but she wants to get her own place. Ford is in his flat and he hears noise coming from next door, sounds like some in has had an accident so he goes rushing to see if he can help. Imagine his surprise when Piper comes to the door wrapped in a shower curtain. They can both feel the chemistry and decide to have a bit of fun and part ways when Ford has to go away. You must read it to see what happens with Piper and Ford and all the other characters that appear. I loved the book, read it in a few days,I definitely recommend.

I love Ivy Falls. This series has the sweetest small town vibes. The side characters have great personalities that add so much to the overall story. This last book being Piper’s was perfect. Seeing the growth since book one was heartwarming. Nothing felt rushed and the relationship seems so natural.
If you’re a fan of Gilmore Girls, this series is for you. Nosy neighbors, busy town square, community, comic relief, and love.

The cover and title drew me into this and a new author in Amy True. Having started to read Piper and Ford's story I went back and read the first two books and I'm so glad I did.
Piper, she's been through a lot but when Ford comes to town she suddenly finding herself not wanting anything to do with new doctor. Her story is so moving, funny and full of love and caring. It's impossible not to love and admire her for battling through.
Ford, yeah we all have those or one of those parents. The man is sweet, charming and caring much like this awesome third book from Amy. There were times I didn't want to put the book down and stay reading later than I should have done.
I'll be looking forward to more Amy books but for now don't miss the Ivy Falls series.

oh to be back in Ivy Falls the place where we all want to go and live. could someone please adopt me into this community for a while. weve already had two beautiful stories from the Falls. and this one is no difference in its loveliness. its not fluff or cliche. its not too soft that it doesnt feel real and heartfelt. its just right. just so very right. i wanted to read and read. then move here.but alas i dont think my time has come for a romance like the ones weve met from Ivy Falls.
i have to add the two in this book as our main characters have been through some stuff. and it wasnt lost on me how much we adore these books and these folk in them. and sometimes you have to remember and really see how good a book is. because although they are humans with some very real sometimes dark things happening in them. we still, from the author have the power to completely love them and all they involve.
