The Puck Stops Here is the third in the Karma Club series, where Astrid, Sienna, Bella and Paige meet and decide to treat all their exes to a bit of karma.
⭐️⭐️⭐️
Now it’s Astrid’s turn to seek revenge on Sienna’s ex Aiden. So she gets a job writing an exclusive article about him and his brother who both play for the New York Titans. But as she learns more and more about them, she begins to think that revenge may not be that simple… and she can’t seem to stay away from Blake, Aidan’s twin brother. But she’s there to break a heart, not get her heart broken again right?
I really enjoyed this one (extra points for it being an ice hockey romance!) and I actually can’t wait to read the next one to find out a little bit extra from this story. Astrid was such a fun character and I really enjoyed her moral compass. It was fun to read bits that had happened in earlier books but from a different perspective also.
I don’t think you would need to read the other books in the series to enjoy this one but it did help me understand it better.
Thank you Rachael Stewart, Boldwood Books and Netgalley for a great advanced reader copy of The Puck Stops Here!

The Puck Stops Here is a wildly fun, sharp-witted, and delightfully spicy sports romance that plays out through the world of hockey, revenge, and very inconvenient attraction.
When journalist Astrid Sinclair teams up with two fellow scorned women during a snowed-in airport layover, they hatch the ultimate revenge pact: go after each other's awful exes. Astrid’s mission? Take down NHL golden boy Aiden Carter, the heartbreaker who left her new friend in emotional shambles. Her plan? Charm her way into the New York Titans’ locker room (via a very convenient press pass) and write an exposé that hits him where it hurts.
The only problem is Aiden’s twin brother, Blake—grumpy, guarded, and maddeningly hot—is not only in the way… he might just be exactly what Astrid didn’t know she needed.
What follows is an irresistibly fun enemies-to-lovers, forbidden-romance rollercoaster with sharp banter, slow-burn chemistry, and just the right amount of emotional depth. Astrid is a bold, hilarious heroine with a soft heart, and Blake is pure off-limits temptation with a secret sweet side. The tension sizzles, the pacing flies, and the side characters (especially the girl gang) bring serious feel-good energy.
A steamy, feel-good romance that is packed with heart, heat, and just the right amount of chaos. It's a total win for fans of revenge plots gone sideways, mistaken identities, and falling for exactly the wrong twin.
I received a complimentary copy from NetGalley and Boldwood Books and am voluntarily leaving my review.

I'm a sucker for a hockey rom com. Even more so for one with a puny title. And throw in a good revenge pact and I'm hooked. Though this one wasn't a favorite I did enjoy the characters. And I did like both of the hero and heroine.

The third instalment in the Karma Club series! Ive been really enjoying this collection so far and The Puck Stops Here with Astrid's revenge story was fab. Tasked with seeking revenge on Sienna's ex, will she be able to keep on the task with the distraction of Aiden's hot twin Blake?
I love a hockey themed romance so this one was right up my street. The sexual tension was great and I also loved that it took a different path to the first two books (hard to properly explain without spoilers)
A perfect part 3 to this series!

📚 Book Review – The Pack Stops Here by Rachael Stewart
(Karma Club series)
Okay so I read this one before last week but I wasn’t in my space to write about it. Now I feel like I want to, because this one meant something.
It’s the next part of Karma Club—you already know how much I liked the first two novels, and this one just gave me more reasons to love the series.
It’s about a journalist and two twin brothers—one who’s seen as a hero by all, and one who is misunderstood by everyone . And in the middle of them is our female lead who wants revenge for her best friend... but then ends up falling in love with her best friend’s ex’s brother.
Yep, messy.
But also—real, soft, intense.
It’s not just about love or revenge... it’s about self-esteem, mental health, those childhood things we carry and don’t talk about. The quiet pain. The in-between healing.
It was emotional in a slow way.
Like, the book talks about family, problems we hide, how sometimes people just carry too much silently. And I liked that it didn’t force a solution—it just showed how people try to come out of it. And how they can.
Somewhere in the middle, this book becomes about hope.
Hope that life changes. That we don’t stay stuck forever. That the pain doesn’t always last. That your way will come—your people, your dream, your peace.
And I think... I really needed to read that.

Read this if you love :

I’ve received an e-ARC from @boldwoodeverafter @rachaelstewart3 but since i haven’t got around to read it before pub day, i’ve supported the authors by reading it on Kobo Plus.
Thank you both, such a pleasure to review this amazing hockey romance, this one will make you hot, laugh and fall in love with the caracters you will forget to go to bed.

I received an Advance Reader Copy from the publisher, via NetGalley. This in no way impacted on my view.
Journalist Astrid Sinclair meets her best friends in when snowed in at Chicago's O Hare airport, and together they discover that they have all be hurt in love, and they form the Karma Club to get their revenge. Sweet Sienna's heart was broken by NHL player Aiden Carter, and with Astrid's connections, she's perfect for this task. Armed with her all access pass, Astrid takes on the New York Titans, to write an expose on Aiden and twin brother, Blake. She's there to seduce and break Aiden's heart, so why is she drawn to Blake so much?
I'm getting a bit obsessed with hockey romances at the minute, and one with a side of revenge sounded perfect. Astrid had been hurt by her ex, Chase, who she believed made her into the other woman, and she wanted to make Aiden suffer for hurting her friend, Sienna, so much. I really liked the way she managed to get under Aiden's skin, while also infuriating Blake. Blake was the grumpy to Aiden's sunshine, and he saw right through Astrid's act, especially the glasses and shoes. She was much more at home in a good pair of trainers rather than heels, but to try and get Aiden's attention, she did whatever it took. Blake and Astrid's chemistry was off the charts, and I think they might be my favourite couple of the series! I really appreciated how Astrid saw that Aiden was suffering as much as Sienna, and though she felt conflicted over her feelings for Blake taking her away from the revenge plot, she and Blake started planning on how they could get Aiden and Sienna together again, which I can't wait to see in book #4.

The Puck Stops Here is the third book in the Karma series and I think I probably should have read the other two first as I did find it a bit confusing at first to follow what was going on. Although it can be read as a standalone, I felt it relied a fair amount on the reader knowing about the revenge pack and each of the friends ex's/love interests in the first chapter but personally found it hard to follow. I also am generally a fan of 1st person narrative (with dual POV( for my romances so didn't get which character was meant to be the main character from the first chapter.
I do enjoy a hockey romance, but this wasn't my favourite as it took a while for me to get into (due to the points mentioned above) and i wasn't really a fan of the ex/revenge pact story. Maybe if I'd read them in order I may have been a little bit more invested but unfortunately the narrative style (3rd person romance) and story just wasn't quite for me.

I've been loving this series and was super excited to read the next book, and it didn't disappoint! I really like Astrid, and I think Blake is my favourite love interest so far! It was a super fun read, and I can't wait to continue this series. Perfect for fans of Ice hockey romance or those wanting to try one for the first time

Looking for a hockey themed romance with a streak of revenge running through? Then look no further!
The Puck Stops Here is the third book in the Karma Club series - a series of books that can each be read together or as stand alone books.
Enter Astrid, journalist and heartbroken, who meets her 3 new besties after a chance encounter when stranded snowed in at the airport. Trading stories of heartbreak to pass the time, the new friends make a pact to exact revenge on each others ex’s and break their hearts, giving them a good dose of karma.
Astrid’s karma target is non other that famous NHL superstar and seemingly perfect gentleman Aiden Carter. Her journalistic prowess gives her the perfect way in to achieve her goal, but what she never expected was handsome twin brother, team bad boy Blake.
Will Blake distract her from her karma mission, or will Astrid be able to break Aiden’s heart and bring balance to her friend?
Whilst the hockey theme is integral to the story, this book doesn’t lean heavily on it with more emphasis on the friendships and romances than the sports aspect. Stewart uses this to her advantage creating a great slow burn romance, with characters that are so well written that you can’t help but wish them all to get a happy ending. I felt that I really got to know the main characters throughout the book and felt their emotions along with them.
This was a really easy read that I could happily have read in one sitting. I can recommend for anyone who wants a romance read with a bit of spice, plenty of emotional feels, and a sports backdrop.
Thank you to @RachaelStewart3 @boldwoodeverafter @netgalley for this book in return for an honest review

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for the digital ARC!
This book is part of a series, and I seem to have been reading them backwards, as I read the last book first by accident. Unfortunately, I ended up DNF'ing that book, and I did the same here.
I maintain my thoughts from that book: the ex pact was silly and completely unrealistic. It didn't make sense to me, as given what I ended up knowing from the next book, everything just felt too rushed! I love ice hockey romance, and I will still love it, but this one wasn't for me.

I love the premise of this book! When Astrid meets Sienna, they discover they both have old issues with their exes and decide that revenge will help them feel better. Astrid goes after Adrian, who chose hockey over Sienna. Unfortunately for the success of revenge plot, she falls far Adrian’s twin brother.
Thanks to the publisher and NetGalley, I received a complimentary copy of this book. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.

Blake and Astrid feel inevitable!!
This is the 3rd book in the series and I haven't read the first 2 but the beginning of this book explains enough to be able to enjoy the book.
Friends swapping ex's for karma what could go wrong?
I would have enjoyed it more if we spent a bit longer wrapping everything up because something bad happened and then everything was fine but it was still a easy fun read. I feel Invested in the other characters to read about what they were up too.
Thanks to Netgalley and the publisher for my copy✨

The ending of this was so cute. I loved how everything got worked out for the two main characters. Loved the casual queer rep. So many sports romances don’t have any which utterly mad. Queer people play professional sports too. The formatting on the texting is so good. Too many books don’t bother with anything different for a conversation via text, but this book did THE MOST.
It was very different to differentiate who was who in the first few chapters. The friendship group were all very underdeveloped characters. All we knew about them was their name, hair colour, what their ex did and where they were from but only specifically for the Americans. The British characters where just described as “Brits” - my literary pet peeve. I know the rest of the friendship group have their own books, but it still would’ve been nice to learn more of them (this is the only book in this series that I’ve read).
I’m looking forward to reading the next book in this series. Aiden and Sienna’s book was set up so well. I can’t wait to read their resolution.

This book has a little bit of everything. It has revenge plots, slow burn romance, a love triangle and just a really good plot.
It's a really good light read romance that would be perfect for a summer beach read or just chilling in this beautiful sunny weather.
There's humour and I loved the revenge plot and how the story unwinds (no spoilers) . The love triangle helps build the story but it isn't at all creepy or cringy.
A really nice summer easy read.

The Puck Stops Here is a well paced and emotionally wild, steamy ice hockey romance book.
I really enjoyed the dual POV that this story was written in and the seamless transition between the different characters viewpoints allowing for easier connections to the characters thoughts and feelings. I enjoyed the humour of the story and had a few laugh out loud moments.
I read this as a standalone and it made perfect sense but I will definitely be reading the others in the series.
Perfect for fans of found family, forced proximity, love triangles and grumpy hockey players.

This was a fun, steamy read with plenty of heart. I loved the unique premise—four women teaming up to give karma to each other’s exes—and Astrid’s story added just the right amount of emotional depth. Her chemistry with Blake, one half of the hockey-playing Titan twins, was instant and electric. While the "revenge mission" didn't have as much laugh-out-loud mischief as other books in the series, it made up for it with genuine growth, heartfelt moments, and strong family bonds.
Blake and Aiden’s relationship as brothers was a sweet surprise, and I enjoyed seeing how Astrid and Blake supported one another. The British-isms in the dialogue did throw me off a bit considering the U.S. setting, but it didn’t ruin the experience. If you're in the mood for a spicy, swoony, and emotionally satisfying sports romance, this one’s worth checking out.

3.8 stars
This one was a fun surprise! I wasn’t sure what to expect, but the chemistry hit fast and kept the story moving. The hockey setting added just enough edge without taking over, and the emotional moments actually landed. It had a good mix of heat, heart, and just enough drama to stay interesting. Not overdone, just a solid, steamy read that delivered what I came for. Definitely worth checking out if you're into sports romance with a little depth.

I have entered my hockey romance era and I am loving it! I loved this storyline and the characters! Highly recommend!

✨ ARC Review: The Puck Stops Here by Rachel Stewart ✨
I am obsessed with this book. It had me in a complete chokehold from the first chapter to the very last page. My heart was racing, my chest was tight, and the emotional rollercoaster I went through? UNREAL.
Astrid is a journalist out for revenge — her friend Sienna was left broken after being ghosted 10 years ago by her ex, who’s now a hotshot NHL player. Astrid wants answers, wants payback… until she meets his twin brother, Blake.
And Blake? He’s everything she shouldn’t want — but absolutely can’t resist. 🔥
The tension between them? Off the charts. The emotional chaos? Devastating in the best way. Every character is morally grey, layered, and nothing is what it seems. It’s messy, it’s intense, it’s full of feelings and I LIVED for every second of it.
This is a standalone in a four-book series written by different authors and trust me — I’m reading them all after this. If you love hockey romance with spice, secrets, and heartbreak… you need this book in your life.
