This was a tender, nostalgic story of second chances set in a charming coastal town that radiates small-town comfort. The setting truly shines and adds that cozy, homey feel.
Cassie and Liam’s romance is a slow burn—with emphasis on the slow. Most of the story takes place while they’re apart, which made me crave more page time with them actually together. I found the pacing a bit repetitive, with some fluff that could’ve been trimmed. By the time things finally click, their relationship feels underexplored.
That said, the writing is lovely, the cover is stunning, and the family dynamics—especially the bond between Liam and his daughter—are heartwarming. If you enjoy small-town charm, emotional reconnections, and sweet single-dad storylines, this one may hit the spot.

she came home to look after her Grandmother. what she didnt realise was she was coming home to perhaps find just that...her home. in more ways than one. but she doesnt feel that when she didnt realise it meant coming face to face with the love of her life. she left to see the world a decade ago. but now she is back. and hes there. and shes knows it was never about stopping love him as to why she left.
Liam is a single dad now. and he knows he never stopped loving her. when she left he was hurt. but seeing Cassie again makes it all come flooding back including the feelings. not all of them good. hes had to move on since then.
the tension between our two characters is too hard to miss. but the growing feeling are too. there is so much to heal though. so many things that havent been said and have been left to linger and fester. regrets, wounds, things left unsaid on both sides. can it really ever be more than pain for both of them.
being in this town makes Cassie believe in things again. being with Liam means so much to her. and what they clearly had and have is so real. and he feels the same. the relationship that Cassie starts up independently of the two of them is also so sweet and true, there is so much heart in this trio and i was rooting for them from the start. i didnt want any more pain for them or the reader!
coming home to Sturcombe Bay is as warm as the coastal town itself. it wraps you up in the scenery and the small town goings on is the kind we all would dream of being enveloped by. it has charm, wit and heart through every page and every interaction.
i could say its perfect for this summer time beginning. but it would be perfect for any time.
this second chance romance is one for all. you will love it. i cant wait for more from this author. she truly is fitting in to her role in this genre superbly.
i loved this book ever so much. these are the types of books i wish i could afford to buy and then keep on a special shelf. if only i had a big enough library too!

A charming coastal escape with heart, history, and a second chance at love.
Coming Home to Sturcombe Bay is a warm, emotionally satisfying read that wraps you in its seaside charm from the very first page. With a stunning cover and a storyline that hits all the right romantic beats, this is the kind of book you’ll want to read curled up with a cup of tea.
Cassie and Liam’s story blends small-town familiarity with a simmering second-chance romance that feels both tender and real. The tension between them—rooted in old wounds, unspoken regrets, and unfinished business—makes for an engaging, slow-burn dynamic that draws you in. I especially loved how Cassie’s bond with Liam’s daughter developed organically, adding depth and heart to their rekindling connection.
The setting of Sturcombe Bay is gorgeously drawn—cosy, coastal, and full of life. The pacing is gentle rather than twisty, suiting the tone perfectly. Fans of single-dad tropes, emotional reconnection, and heartfelt, everyday stakes will find plenty to love here.
This is a book about healing, forgiveness, and the courage to open your heart again.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ – A beautifully written, feel-good romance with soul. Perfect for fans of Phillipa Ashley and Sue Moorcroft.

We got Second Chances, Small Town, Single Dad. Some of the best troupes out there. Coming Home To Sturcombe Bay was an easy read and had me giggling and kicking my feet at some parts. I did get emotional when Cassie had to come back home to help take care or her sick Grandmother, do to having Grandparents that me and parents had to take care of. Some times we have to make sacrifices to make our lives better. Cassie didn't realize at the time but coming home would put her back in contact with Liam again, a love that got away. But all in all I enjoyed this book.
