This book is a collection of short stories but instead it feels like a collection of possible stories to be written that haven’t fully been finished. Like when you go the a publisher and say hey this is a story idea but you never go back to edit.

Each story I read I felt there was something missing and the plot wasn’t fully developed and there were holes that made you try to put together the pieces.

Did I enjoy it? No. I feel like the stories needed to be more concise with the main idea behind it or they need to be developed more. This was a weird in between that just truly didn’t work.

So unfortunately this book just wasn't it for me. I was hoping for something scary and Heart rate increasing but was met with stale, uninteresting stories 😪

None of the stories had any real gripping point. There was no chill, no horror, no nothing in any of them and it's quite disappointing.

Spell unfortunately I wouldn't recommend it to anyone...

I absolutely loved it, several short stories. Great for fans of the twilight zone & black mirror. Had me thinking & plenty of chills to go around! Each story had its own plot and scared, one of the stories tied in to one at the beginning. Can’t wait to see what this author writes again. Thanks to netgalley, the publisher and author for the ARC!

I was hoping for this to be more terrifying. Sure, there were some creepy moments but I was hoping for more scary, evil children in the stories. Overall a quick read.

𝗦𝘂𝗺𝗺𝗮𝗿𝘆: A collection of adult short horror stories.

𝗠𝘆 𝗧𝗵𝗼𝘂𝗴𝗵𝘁𝘀: I was drawn to the creep factor of the cover- cause creepy right?? I also like the short story collections to mix up my typical reading style. I applaud the authors creativity with the stories, but the writing and scare factor wasn’t there for me. I wasn’t creeped out, I wasn’t anything… I had to force myself to finish and it is a 157 page book 😬
Not the book for me, but others may enjoy.
