The book held promise as I am interested in special forces during WW2. The war in Burma is one that gets little attention. However, this book did not meet expectations. The book was focused more on his years before the war, than the actual exploits during the war. It seemed to drag leading up to the war. I can't really recommend this book to the readers.

This was a great book. There are few people in the world who are as authentic as this guy. I would love to read more he has written.
