Posuka Demizu's art continues to be the highlight of BEYBADE X as we push into Volume 3. The style is iconic in the wake of THE PROMISED NEVERLAND, and it fits the vibe of our hopeful Beybladers perfectly. While Volume 2 felt like a bit of a dip, Volume 3 picks back up again, introducing a unique style of match. The most popular team will face off against a one-off team of the three most popular players. In this case, that means our heroes Persona will face a stiff challenge... with legendary queen of the tower Quinn Manju at the end of it.
Quinn's battle is the most compelling, between her high skill level and her ability to read how any match will go. The depiction of that power is absolutely fantastic: a cool sequence in manga in general, much less in a BEYBLADE spinoff. She's a great character with a great design and concept, and her presence brings this volume from "pretty good" to "very exciting."
