LT the Hangry Dino is a cute story about what happens when LT gets hungry. My 4 year old liked the story and the colorful illustrations; as did I. It was simple and cute and easy to read. The only change I would make would be the dinosaurs name to make it a bit easier for a child to read.

LT the Hangry Dino is a fun and engaging story that turns a common emotion (hunger-induced grumpiness, AKA hangry) into a funny, teachable moment. Ashley Mackey does a great job capturing the energy of a dinosaur who’s just a bit too hangry to function, while also delivering a sweet message about emotions and snack time.

The illustrations are colourful and fun, making LT an instant favourite for young readers. The story flows well and keeps kids’ attention, with just enough humour to make it fun for adults to read aloud, too.

My two year old son and I greatly enjoyed this read!

This was a fun book for the illustrations but I don't think there was much of a message. I think it could've been a good opportunity to teach a lesson about listening to your body (hunger cues) instead of just blowing up and everyone retreating until mom swoops in to feed you.

Cute story about a hangry, energetic dino! I enjoyed both the short story and the illustrations. Thank you to NetGalley for the ARC!

This cute book is about a dinosaur that wants to go out to play with his friends…but uh oh, he’s hangry! The dinosaur learns the importance of eating snacks to keep himself regulated. This had cute illustrations and my own children will identify with LT in this story. I could also use this to start conversations in my classroom for my students who get too hangry before lunch!

This is such a cute book for our littles. My son is 2 years old and loves dinosaurs. When he saw the book cover, I knew he wanted me to read this one. The story is cute and funny in a way because I can totally see kids being that way....Hangry. hahaha...My little one loved looking at the pictures and telling me all the colors he can see.

The illustrations in this story are so cute and eye catching, I love all of the bright and vivid colors.

I thought the story was cute and silly. I know my niece and nephew would giggle at this story and they’d love to act it out.

I do agree with other reviewers that there isn’t really a lesson or solution addressed in this story, but I’m not sure if that’s a problem necessarily. I do love when kids can learn from what they’re reading and watching though.

This book features simple language and adorable illustrations, making it suitable for young children. It follows a dino named LT who gets angry when hungry. However, the solution to his hunger is managed aggressively and not well explained, which I find problematic as a preschool inclusion teacher. The book does address this issue and suggests better solutions for the future. Thanks to NetGalley for the E-ARC.

A very sweet little book. As a Mama of two kiddos with Autism, whilst what his friend did for him was sweet, it’s not something I’d recommend as a permanent solution in real life, at least in our situation. As whilst it encourages sharing, it isn’t fair for children to constantly have to sacrifice their own needs, even if it is well meant. However, the book did address that and suggested a better solution for the future. If you don’t take it too seriously (I’m also Autistic, so slightly easier said than done for me, sometimes) it can be quite lighthearted. All in all quite gentle and lovely, and a great reminder for parents (also sometimes easier said than done when we’re granting ourselves gentleness) to plan ahead wherever possible, and I loved the backstory of teaching the author’s son to read by having a book based on him.

This was a cute story for young kids about a Dino named LT who gets angry when hungry. The pictures were colorful and the language was perfect for little ones. I do wish the story had a little more to it, but overall this is a good book to read to children.

A cute story about a dinosaur that gets ‘hangry’ when he’s hungry.

I loved the illustrations the best, the dino pictures are great. The story is very basic but I’m sure young children will enjoy following the pictures and find it funny that the dinosaur gets angry when hungry, much like they do!

I get why the dinosaur is called LT as this book is written for the authors child and that is their initials, but I think it would be easier for a child to read and understand if it had a different name.

I feel my son would pick this up for the illustrations.

A tale for a toddler so engrossed in their world that they get hangry. LT and his mum organise a play date together with LT and his friends. Thankfully his mum is well versed in having a hangry dunno on her hands and knows just what to do.

A cute little tale that's relatable to a toddler, they should easily see themselves in this book. Also a good read for those progressing their reading skills
