This book was good.
The writing is solid, and the fast pace makes it an easy and enjoyable read. The chapters are not too long—something I really appreciate.
The relationship between the main characters was cute. At the beginning, it felt like it took them a while to fully commit, but the wait was worth it. I loved how they found their balance by the end. The mix of fun and drama was just perfect.
If you're looking for a quick and enjoyable read, this is the book for you.
Thank you to NetGalley and Bold Strokes Books for providing me with an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

would like to thank netgalley and the publisher for letting me read this book
rachel is a surgeon
ana is a lawyer
their one night stand was amazing, rachel never expected to see ana again....so her shock at walking into the office for the deposition and seeing ana there was horrifying
ana was equally shocked and thankfully the deposition was cancelled due to a car accident
but now that ana and rachel had connected again they each fell the pull of each others attraction....
ohhh man what a storyline nerve wracking times ahead due to that deposition
cant wait to read whats next from this author

This book was good.
The writing was engaging, and the pacing of the whole book was well executed. I loved the short chapters.
Rachel and Ana's relationship was fun to read about. They are complete opposites, and I enjoyed their playful banter. Ana is a sweet yet determined character with strong confidence, while Rachel is a genuine sweetheart who always tries to help others because of her hidden past.
I also liked learning more about Jewish culture, it was a nice addition to the story. The only reason this wasn’t a 5 star read for me was the occasional info dumping, which I felt wasn’t always necessary.
Overall, if you're looking for a spicy romance between a doctor and a lawyer with great writing, you might enjoy this one as much as I did.

I never get tired of reading books where the characters have a one-night stand but end up meeting each other again in something work-related. Needless to say, I had a great time reading A Conflict of Interest.
The chemistry between Ana and Rachel is off the charts, with a good level of spice, and seeing them clash was very entertaining. Their relationship is also sweet and well-paced, even if it was a quick read.
The lawsuit, how it explores medical malpractice, and Rachel’s involvement add more stakes, which I really appreciated. I also really like the contrast between Ana and her Cuban Catholic roots on one side and Rachel and her Jewish roots on the other.

I enjoyed this book, my first by this author. The MC’s were well described, and their relationship was wonderful. The secondary characters were a nice addition to the story. There were some very nice steamy scenes, which is always a plus. Well done.

I loved this book… which is why I was very disappointed when the conflict was “solved” so easily and lowkey brushed past. We are waiting for this secret to come out that Rachel has been holding onto. There’s obviously conflict of interest with Ana and Rachel. But the way they solved it? I didn’t feel like it was realistic and it felt like both women were like, “Okay, that’s over, everything is kosher now(pun intended?). It honestly prevented me from giving it 5 stars. The ending seems so rushed.
But other than that, I loved both characters! I loved learning about Jewish culture and loved how the author portrayed it. Both MCs are fleshed out, in depth characters. The author had a good balance of humor and seriousness.
Thank you NetGalley and the publisher for the ARC!

This was a fun and engaging read with a great mix of romance and legal drama. Ana Mendez is a strong, determined character you really root for, and Rachel Cohen brings both charm and vulnerability. Their chemistry is undeniable, and the twist of them being on opposite sides of a case adds a lot of tension and excitement. The story moves at a good pace and kept me hooked. A satisfying and heartfelt story that I really enjoyed. Four stars!

what happens when the one night stand is the woman you are forcing to take the stand? ermm hello this was promising and delivered that promise.
weve got a lawyer and a doctor. both different in every way. but theres an interest and a night together. oh, but the next day that lawyer and that doctor arent at all one the same side.
they try to avoid each other but this conflict is definitely of interest. but there is the law involved and is someone keeping something more from the other.
the banters and spice was ramped up to the next level and this story is not going to shy away from that s be ready.
an enjoyable read and a good plot. its feisty and strong just like our characters. and you know there will have to come a explosion over what they are doing but your never sure quite when or how and just what comes next.

When your one-night stand turns out to be the surgeon that you subpoenaed for a malpractice lawsuit.
Ana, an unappreciated lawyer, has been passed up for promotion to her male colleagues yet again. A malpractice lawsuit win could be what she needs to finally get the promotion she’s worked so hard for. Rachel, a cardiac surgeon who goes above and beyond for her patients, is subpoenaed to testify in a malpractice lawsuit. Arriving at the law firm for her deposition, Rachel discovers that the lawyer for the family who filed the lawsuit is Ana Mendez. As in Ana, her one-night stand.
I was excited to get my hands on this one! I loved that Ana and Rachel were so different from each other in personalities, looks, backgrounds, and religions. The differences made them unique and interesting to me. The banter was well-written, and I loved how feisty they were towards each other in the beginning. Was the dirty talk unexpected? Very much so. I was not prepared for that or for how hot things had gotten. And while I did enjoy the spice, I would’ve liked for there to have been more communication about the conflict too. The references to The Golden Girls and The Sims? Oh, I totally geeked out over that! Overall, it was a good sapphic romance that I’m sure others will enjoy.
I’d like to thank NetGalley and Bold Strokes Books for giving me an arc. This is my voluntary review.

I was intrigued by the whole start of the book where a hot lawyer and a hot doctor hook-up for a one-night stand and think they will never meet again but so wrong they were. The very next day they encounter each other when the doctor Rachel arrives at a deposition led by the lawyer Ana. Then we have the whole forbidden romance which I love. They try to avoid each other for a while because of ethical reasons but when they meet a few more times they cannot resist, and they are so right and hot together. It is still a struggle regarding how to handle the forbidden part of the story as well as the fact that Rachel may hide something regarding the deposition.
This is all going very well and I like the tension between them and how they get to know each other. They finally focus one something else besides their respective careers. But it is aiming for a crash at some point and unfortunately that and the resolution is coming a bit late for my taste and thus the growth of their romance as well as epilogue is a bit short. I do however recommend this enjoyable read.
