I really like the premise of this book. The story is fun and super hot but it was so rushed. I felt like I couldn’t get emotionally engaged because there wasn’t enough for me to get attached too. The timeline also felt rushed. So much time past in between some chapters and the characters would be in different mindsets or have different feeling so fast, I had constant whiplash. Regardless, I did enjoy the characters and there overall journey.

Vivian is a college librarian

Theo and Grayson are hockey players and roommates.

Grayson has the hots already for Vivian so now he needs to get her and Theo on board for the threesome (their superstition).

Their superstition for each season has proved to work for their winning... this season they chose an older women, and this time other roommate Bennett joins in... problem... she ends up pregnant.

How and what could go wrong with their season and their relationship as roommates and hockey mates?

I enjoyed this book more than I thought I was going to. I was shocked how well they got along even with the age gap. I am glad I had the experience to read the book and will look for other books from the author.

Loved this from start to finish, I love any type of romance books with any from of sports interlinked and this did not disappoint.

Okay, this was fun? I can't say it was my favorite and a week after finishing and I'm not sure I remember a ton of details which is an issue. I liked that they were all there for her. I felt a little like it was too much in line with Pucking Around, but also there were enough differences to not just be a duplicate.

I have to say I think I liked this in spite of some plot points that I normally dont’ like or try to avoid.

This is a why choose, swords crossing, accidental pregnancy, older woman + younger men age gap situation. What starts as a wild fantasy, one handed read, turns into a pretty serious situation.

Vivian is a college librarian, age 28 (?), working on her vision board to get some more excitement in her life. She gets asked out on a date by a 23 (?) year old college hockey player, Grayson. Even though he’s a younger guy, a student, she agrees with some reservations. But Grayson has more in mind than a date. His team mate/best friend/roommate, Theo, have a hockey superstition that THEY HAVE TO HAVE A THREESOME TO WIN AT HOCKEY. So every season they find a woman, usually another student, to have 3 somes with to win at hockey. It’s just sex, no girlfriends, no relationship. Grayson and Theo decide this year they want to have an ‘older’ woman, and Theo is really into librarians so Grayson has targeted Vivian. On their first date, Theo shows up and pretty quickly tells Vivian their plan. She’s mad, nearly leaves, then decides to take advantage of the opportunity to live a little.

What I personally don’t like, is the dynamic of college student + adult. They are technically only 5 years apart in age, but it feels a little icky to me. I think the author does a good job navigating around this in the end, but if it wasn’t an ARC I might have DNF’d.

On their night of their big event, their roommate, Bennett turns up and is asked to join in. It is pretty sexy and on par for other poly books. But Vivian decides she actually likes this guys and can’t keep doing this without catching feelings so she breaks things off.

No surprise from the title, but a big surprise to the characters, Vivian ends up pregnant. They did use condoms, that’s on page, but stuff happens. So what started out as a fantasy, has resulted in some very real world consequences. The rest of the book is these 4 figuring out their poly relationship, pregnancy, family drama, and what happens when people find out about their situation.

It does have an HEA, or HFN.

For a why choose, the author did a good job distinguishing between the male MMC’s with different personalities and backgrounds. Sometimes in these books their voices/POV start to run together. The final relationship kind of makes sense, Vivian is maybe an immature adult and 2 out of the 3 guys are pretty emotionally mature.

So, I liked this more than I thought I would when I started reading it. It combined a lot of sex with an interesting story line if you’re into polyamorous relationships with pregnancy mixed in.

I am always up for a good reverse harem, add in the sports romance and this was a must read for me! It ended up being cute and I liked that it had some more serious elements to it. Also fully approved of the creativity with the sex scenes and really just going for it with the DVP (although was missing the Airtight after all the lead up).

That being said, there were a couple things that could have been improved. The pacing seemed a bit off, and it felt rushed at points trying to get everything in. I also think the relationships needed to be developed a bit more on page. Some of the language was also a bit annoying, like that they kept calling it a threesome even after adding Bennett. There were also times where I didn’t think the adjective matched the mood, like how often she “screamed” during sex. Should that not be save for climax instead of when a finger is inserted? (this one could just be me).

Overall, a lot of fun to read!

This one had me unsure at first — the prologue didn’t really add much for me, and the early chapters felt a little slow. Some of the banter leaned cringey (the “I had my eye on the f***” line nearly made me shut the book 😅), and a few moments came off immature. That said, I stuck with it because I’d seen reviews mention solid twists — and I’m glad I did.

The tropes here are bold: hockey players, older woman, a bit of a quad situation, college setting, and a surprise pregnancy. What won me over by the end was the emotional journey. Watching each man react to Vivian’s pregnancy — with all their flaws, feelings, and fears — gave the story depth. The immaturity early on actually made sense later, once you see the characters start to grow up.

The spice? On point, just what you’d expect. The writing itself is strong, even if the chemistry took a while to build for me. Theo is… a lot. But it worked in the context of the messy emotions and complex dynamics.

If you like unconventional found families, chaotic beginnings, and characters who evolve in unexpected ways — this might be one to try. Just be ready for a bit of a bumpy (and spicy) ride.

This was an amazing book to read. I absolutely loved the chemistry between all 4 of them.
It's an MMFM story that pulls you in. The backstory of most character was heartbreaking but some still had a good ending.
It was good to find out how they all dealt with the pregnancy in their own way, how they all were committed to each other and the situation.
It was interesting to read how Theo and Bennett figured out how their relation would be together while in a poly relationship.
All 4 of them were good together and I loved all their characters.

Review: 3 Pucks and a Baby

This was definitely outside of my usual reading lane, but I’m glad I gave it a shot. 3 Pucks and a Baby is a heartwarming, spicy, and unique story that gave me total Three Men and a Baby vibes — with a modern, inclusive twist. The emotional connection between the characters felt genuine, and I really appreciated the way the author handled those dynamics with care and depth.

The characters completely won me over — eventually even Theo, who took a little longer to warm up to. The plot was refreshing and surprisingly sweet amidst the steamier moments, and I found myself smiling more than once at the found-family aspect.

All in all, it was a solid read with a lot of heart — just a bit outside of what I usually pick up. If you love spicy romances with strong emotional bonds and unique relationship structures, this one will be right up your alley!

This was a fun, super spicy why-choose romance with some sweet moments mixed in. Vivian is a thirty-something librarian who ends up in a complicated (but hot) situation with three hockey players after a wild birthday night. Things take a turn when she finds out she’s pregnant, and the rest of the book follows her and the guys as they figure out what this unexpected future looks like.

I really liked the dynamic between the four of them—it felt supportive and surprisingly wholesome at times. They actually talk about their feelings, which I appreciated. It was cute watching them try to figure it out together, even if some parts felt a little rushed.If you’re into steamy group dynamics this is for you!

I quite enjoyed this story. I really liked the character development throughout the book, it never felt too rushed or too slow. Also the amount of spice scenes, not too many, not too few and spread out thought out the book.

My one qualm is how quickly the relationship came about. I get why cos other stuff had to happen but it felt a little rushed to me.

Apart from that, I give it 4 stars. Nice quick read.

I had a great time reading this; it was exactly what it promised: a fun sweet spicy little romance with multiple partners!
Vivian is a university librarian, single and in her 30’s.
She finds herself in a situation ship with three hot hockey players and ends up being pregnant later on. The baby daddies are supportive and there for her, making sure she is not alone having her baby.
I loved the relationship between all four adults, they work through their feelings together when they’re anxious about the future involving a baby that was not planned. This was super cute and I would love to read more about these four.

If you’re looking for a smutty reverse harem hockey romance then you’ve found it. I was expecting a fun time and that’s what I got (most of the time).
What really put me off was how the male characters in this book spoke to the fmc. Looking back it was only a couple lines but it just felt that majority of the time one specific mmc was always talking down to her. Not really taking what she says as the truth or gaslighting her into thinking that something she feels strongly about is actually not that big of a deal.

This wasn’t my favorite and I would say the language used in the book was a pretty big turn off for me.

Omg this was so much fun. Hockey and accidental pregnancy are my favourite things and this did them so well. All the boys are so precious.

As Vivian's thirtieth birthday arrives, Vivian decides it's time to be a little adventurous. So, when Grayson, a student and hockey player asks her out on a date, she says yes. What Vivian thought was an innocent date, turns into a birthday foursome. Vivian swears to herself that their night was a one-time thing but when she finds she is pregnant, she must tell each of the potential baby daddies. As they await paternity testing, Grayson, Bennett, and Theo all fight for a place in Vivian's heart and bed.

I loved everything about this book, especially the polyamorous relationship between Vivian and her three hockey players. This is the ultimate why choose romance. I enjoyed how they supported Vivian in their way throughout her pregnancy and worked together as they navigated the ups and downs of their relationship. There is the right balance between romance and spicy scenes, and I loved every part of it. If you want a non-traditional romance with a lot of spicy scenes, I will recommend this book.

this was such a super read. it was fun, entertaining and just what i wanted going in. i didnt expect to be dawn in to it with so much heartfelt love for each of the plot points and characters. we got to know them, we got to feel them and i love how different they all were but somehow still slotted together. and i felt really warmed by how much they all cared for our main female character Vivian. their protectiveness was such a charming addition. because what a sticky situation they found themselves. a foursome. a baby. and although each of them reacted rather different to the news i loved seeing how it went on to be handled. it felt real. but still we saw such tender moments.
i wont tell you who my secret soft spots were for. and i admit they might have changed a little here and there in the book as some characters came to the forefront with their ability to grow. but i still felt a little eekish at one point worrying if any were going to make Vivian a safe home and baby daddy. would this be the right one? the right dad? the right one for her...okay or the right one for me as a reader. or what if, what if none of them was the right one? you see where im going. how much trickier it becomes when you give us one stellar lady and four men?
ive read a few surprise pregnancy books recently and ive been really enjoying how the authors have handled them. this one will definitely be added to the list of goodens.
