Biddy Bramley has returned to her hometown of Pooka following the loss of her husband. On arrival she is met with suspicions that her estranged sister was cheated out of the pottery business before her death. Joined with a rag tag group, she sets out to uncover the truth but may find more than she bargained for.
A lovely cosy mystery, easy flowing with some interesting quirky characters. A fabulous holiday read.

A strong whodunnit made modern by the fantastic ensemble cast of characters, all of whom add such colour to this book. It’s definitely in the cosy class, but I think the more standard mystery readers will also enjoy the strong plot and how it unfolds.

There’s a compelling premise at the heart of this book with Eileen (and now Maude) potentially having been the rightful owner of a wildly successful business and Megan and Biddy finally being free to figure out their places in the world. I could see how the plot would lead to meaningful growth and resolution, but I struggled to connect with the characters. While I wanted to see them evolve through their hardships, their personalities (Maude and Eileen specifically) weren’t endearing enough to keep me invested. Perhaps it was the sheer number of POVs making it difficult to settle into the story. The book certainly has a unique plot, and I can appreciate the depth of emotion it seeks to explore. However, without a stronger character connection, I found myself disengaged and ultimately decided not to continue.

Special thanks to NetGalley for a complimentary copy of this book. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.

This was an easy and quick read. It took a while to get into and all the names, especially tons that start with the letter M made it a little confusing at times to keep them all straight.
I enjoyed the sisterhood and their daring in the investigation, i especially loved Ruby :)

#ThePottersFinalPiece #NetGalley is an interesting cozy mystery that grabbed my attention from the beginning.
Biddy's life is torn apart with the death of her husband and then an unexpected phone call turns her life upside down.
Returning to Pooka, Indiana is not in her plans, but her sister's death and her niece need her attention.
Biddy uncovers family secrets, deception, and so many wrong doings, that she organizes a group of women to help her.
These women are strong and motivated, but Sheila won my heart.
This is a very good story and I'm happy to recommend it to other readers.
Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for selecting me to read an advanced copy of this book.
