This book was a fun read and I enjoyed the plot, which was brilliantly written and I loved the characters, who had personalities that I definitely connected with. This book was brilliantly written and I loved how it dealt with friendships and how important finding the perfect friends is, Sienna and Aiden were the perfect main characters and I loved the connection they developed with the other characters.

Sienna Mastrangelo has waited long enough for payback against her ex, NHL superstar Aiden Carter. When The Karma Club offers a chance to serve just desserts, she’s ready to play, but things don’t go quite as planned. Set against the stunning backdrop of an Italian island wedding, Sienna’s mission is clear: make Aiden fall hard, get him begging for a second chance, then walk away for good. But with sizzling chemistry and secrets bubbling beneath the surface, keeping her heart locked up might be the toughest game yet. A is a spicy, witty, and unforgettable finale to The Karma Club series about revenge, redemption, and the fine line between love and hate.

Settling the Score is the 4th and final book in the multi-author The Karma Club series. While it could be read as a standalone in a pinch, I highly recommend reading at least the previous book - The Puck Stops Here first - since Aiden's twin brother's wedding week is the setting and backdrop of his second-chance-at-love romance with Sienna. More than enemies-to-lovers, this is a tale of clearing up misconceptions, working through trauma and learning to forgive past hurts. It's entertaining, engaging and emotional with a wonderful cast of supporting characters and a great HEA not just for Sienna and Aiden, but all the members of the Karma Club and their soulmates.

I would like to thank Netgalley and Boldwood Books for a free copy of the book in exchange for an honest review.

A good ending to the series, especially the girls friendship and how they got horrible Harvey.

Having read & loved the first 3 books in this series, I’ve been eagerly looking forward to reading this latest volume, with the touch of sadness that I always feel when coming to the end of a series that I’ve really enjoyed.

Sienna is the main character; she was dumped by Aiden “Ice” Carter eleven years ago when he suddenly left their small town with his mother & twin brother Blake without explanation. She was shocked & terribly hurt; they’d been teenage sweethearts & believed they’d be together forever - hence her devastation when he blocked her calls. She’s been carrying the hurt & anger ever since; it’s really sapped her self-confidence & self belief & she’s struggled to rebuild her life. The recent friendship & support of the girls in the Karma Club has really helped her with that. But now a crisis looms. Astrid is about to marry Blake, & of course both Sienna & Aiden will be at the wedding. They haven’t seen each other in person since he left town, although Sienna has seen him everywhere in the media, playing ice hockey, promoting both the game & his sponsors.

There’s some LOL moments, eg when Sienna & the girls arrive on the island where the wedding is taking place. There’s a lot of heat & intensity between Sienna & Aiden; the old attraction is clearly still there, their friends & family cannot help but notice even if they deny it There’s a lot of raw honesty & pain when Aiden & Sienna finally begin to talk about their lives since they last saw each other, & begin to understand what happened for each other 11 years ago & in the intervening years. There’s hope & redemption, & a second chance as the adult Sienna & Aiden get to know each other. It’s very well written & I found the characters convincing & believable, feeling many of their emotions with them. I loved the way that through the series Sienna, Paige, Bella & Astrid had formed such a close bond. They’d bonded over shared negative experiences with men in their lives, & a desire for some revenge, but in the process each of them has found love & happiness, & a group of supportive female friends that will remain together for a lifetime. This book lived up to my expectations & is a fitting finale to the series. I have no hesitation in recommending it as a great summer read, but ideally the books should be read in order.

With thanks to Netgalley & Boldwood Books for the opportunity to read an ARC of this book.

I have just loved the Karma Club series and I must admit, I was worried for this one because I thought the main focus would be Harvey and there was no way I could end up liking him.

Thankfully, I was wrong and Settling The Score is a second chance romance set at a beautiful destination wedding.

I have fallen in love with all these characters over the past three books but really had a soft spot for Sienna. This is a beautiful read and I loved how fun it was. Sienna has been invited her friend Astrid's wedding but Astrid is marrying Blake, the twin brother of Sienna's first love, Aiden, who left her unexpectedly a decade ago.

Sienna sets out to seek her own revenge on Aiden by showing him what he's been missing, whilst also trying to work how to the make her friend Paige's ex pay for what he did to her (read the rest of the books in the series and this will all make sense!).

I felt all the emotions with this book, especially when Aiden and Sienna finally hashed out what really happened - why Aiden left abruptly and what Sienna had to go through alone. I enjoyed that it wasn't so clear cut and fluffy. It felt real.

I was also very glad that Harvey's karma wasn't forgotten about and we got a clear conclusion.

The best thing about these books has been the friendship between these women who were thrown together and how much they root for and are there for one another.

ARC review

3,5 stars

"Settling the Score" by Clare Connelly is the last book in "The Karma Club" series of interconnected standalone romance books.
The book could be read separately, but it is better if you at least read "The Puck Stops Here" before.

I received an ARC from Boldwood Books (via Netgalley).
Opinions from this review are completely my own.

This is the conclusion of the revenge plot that started when the 4 ladies met at the airport.

The story takes place about 8 months after the ladies met, and it is Astrid and Blake's wedding week.
Sienna was supposed to bring karma to "horrible" Harvey, but that is harder than she expected and she put the plan on hold to celebrate with her friends.
The issue is that the groom's brother, Aiden is her ex that left 10 years ago and broke her heart.

So she decides to take her revenge on him, by trying to seduce him, make him jealous and leave him at the end.
Sienna and Aiden still had feelings for each other, but needed to comunicate more to be able to resolve their issues.
They were young and immature 10 years ago and managed to hurt each other.
But I am glad that they managed to find their way back together.

Overall this fells like a cute, summer romance, but some topics are emotional.
I am glad that in the end also Harvey got some karma, as he was the only one that could not be forgiven.

I had fun reading this series and I liked that the girls became great friends.

The final instalment in the karma club series and I really enjoyed this. It was different from the other books but was a good storyline and a good ending to the series

Thank you to NetGalley and Boldwood Books for my advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are solely mine.

Four fantastic stars! A second chance romance that will have you all up in your feelings. The Karma Club is ready for Sierra to get her happily ever after. But Sierra doesn’t know what they are up to. And when she is forced to spend a week with the ex that broke her heart, she gets angrier by the minute. She can’t help but feel the most when Aiden is around. These two have a little unfinished business and they need to let the truths out. This book gives us everything we love in romance.

Would recommend to any romance lover.

Thanks boldwood books and NetGalley for this arc.

Unfortunately I did DNF this one, FOR NOW. I think it is probably an excellent rom com for the right reader, I think I’m just not in the right headspace for it and that’s on me, not the author.

Thank you NetGalley and Clare Connelly for gifting me this book, for a good summer read!

I enjoyed this book but it was a bit tricky to understand who was who at points due to it being in 3rd person, which is not my favourite writing style, very similar to Tessa Bailey. Once I had gotten used to the style though, it was a good read. I haven't read the first 3 books, therefore I think I will go back and read them just to help fully understand backstories, other characters etc more.

I enjoyed the MMC alot in this book, funny and charming all around. The FMC was good, but I didn't quite gel with her as much as I had hoped, but still a really good character! The plot itself was beautiful and I really engaged with that, allowing you to have your heart strings pulled and really feeling your involved with these characters.

Overall, I think a reread would be good and I would enjoy it second time round even more now I am used to the style and can really just enjoy the story!

Settling the Score, the final installment in The Karma Club series, reunites high school sweethearts Aiden and Sienna after a decade of unresolved heartache. With a backdrop of past betrayal, emotional wounds, and a revenge-tinged reunion, the novel explores whether love can survive lost time and broken trust.

The premise holds emotional weight—Aiden left Sienna to escape a traumatic home life, but in doing so, shattered her. Their unexpected reunion sparks old feelings and opens old wounds, and while the setup promises intense emotional payoff, the execution feels uneven.

Sienna’s lingering pain feels excessive at times, especially considering the limited development of their chemistry in the present timeline. Aiden’s failure to be fully transparent about his past frustrations the reader, and although he shows remorse and wants a second chance, his efforts to win her back don’t quite hit the emotional depth they should.

Sienna’s honesty and vulnerability are stronger points, but her decision to become physically involved again while still emotionally raw doesn’t feel entirely wise or satisfying. The story’s most satisfying moment comes when they finally stand up to Aiden’s toxic father,

Unfortunately I have DNF’d this book, for now. I just could not get into it and it didn’t hold my attention. It was written in third person and there are multiple female leads so because the story wasn’t getting my attention I also couldn’t follow along which female the narrative was referring to when using “she/her.” It seemed a bit juvenile what the girls were doing for revenge, and a bit complicated when they started switching? I’ll try this again sometime in the future maybe.

I have never read anything by this author before so I wasn't sure how this was going to go. I'll start by saying I personally think you should read the other books in the series first. I did not.
There are a lot of characters and info dumping in the prologue that left me very confused feeling like I was starting in the middle of the book and the side characters felt a little flat to me because I hadn't read their stories.
That being said I did enjoy the story once I had placed everyone. I like that it dealt with heavy subjects such as miscarriage, death, alcohol misuse in a sensitive thoughtful way whilst mixing in lighter fun moments.
Also my goodness I was very happy to see Harvey get his comupance. I will certainly be going back to read the other ladies stories.

This felt very juvenile to me but I also hadn’t read the other books preceding it so maybe I would have felt differently otherwise.

After reading the third book in this series, I was really keen to read the next. Although the books are linked, they do work as stand-alone stories, although I think with this forth one, it does help to have read the Puck Stops Here first, as it does set up some of the background for this one.
Second-chance romances are a bit of a mixed bag for me. There has to be a good reason for the romance not to have worked in the first place. Otherwise, who's to say that things will work out this time and there are some people who don't deserve a second chance in any case. Fortunately, for Aiden and Sienna there were some very good reasons for what Aiden did, even if it did break both Sienna and his own heart. There was also the fact that they were very young when they were together before and sometimes, both parts of a couple need to grow up and really become themselves in any case, which they've certainly had a chance to do here.
These books are, for the most part, light hearted and fun reads and I really enjoyed the two that I've read. I really thing that I might have to go back and give books one and two a go as well. Settling the Score was a great conclusion and I really enjoyed it.
I received a complimentary copy of this book through NetGalley. The opinions expressed in this review are completely my own and given voluntarily.

This was a cute quick read.
This is Aiden and Sienna's story.
I had not read the first 3 books, but now will plan to go read the first 3 books. However, I did not feel that this couldn't read as a standalone book. I didn't feel I had missed out on any pertinent information that was integral to this plot.
Sienna and Aiden have not seen each other in 10 years but due to a wedding, they are back in the same atmosphere. By the way, Aiden broke Sienna's heart.
Sienna is out for revenge and wants Aiden to reap what he sowed, so she sets out to now break his heart.
Finally adult conversations about their past start to happen and both Sienna and Aiden begin to have a much more thorough and mature understanding of one another.
Sienna and Aiden have rough backgrounds, and I will admit, it did make feel a bit emotional. So trauma warning - make sure and check triggers. I loved getting to see them together because this book makes you feel for them and want more for them and for them to be happy.
Loved this story. Read it in one sitting.
I can't wait to go back and read the previous books.
The characters are well developed and I loved the supporting characters as well. The found family vibes were strong in this one.
The plot was well-structured and the pace was great.
You will not regret adding this to your summer reading list if you are into a second chance romance, found family, and traumatic past sort of book vibe!
Thank you so much to NetGalley, Boldwood Books, and Clare Connelly for the opportunity to read and review this ARC!
Happy Reading!

I'll preface the review by saying I have not read the other books in the series but I still enjoyed this one as a standalone!

I really enjoyed all the pranks and shenanigans the girls got up to to get back at Aiden. Female friendship groups are so precious, I love to see that in fiction! The Karma Club women clearly cared for each other and worked to make sure every single one of them was happy.

I liked Aiden as a character, he portrayed himself as cold and was insecure when it came to his past and romantic relationships while still coming off as confident and laid back, which worked for an MMC you want to root for. Sienna was a very likeable, hardworking character with lots on her plate. I wish we had gotten to see more of her relationship with her pseudo step-daughter.

The romance lacked tension imo, considering how their breakup went down in the past and how it unfolded with the pregnancy and loss of the baby. The rekindling of their feelings also felt off, it was so sudden, it didn't work well for me. I think Aiden should have grovelled a bit more rather than having side characters repeatedly telling Sienna what she should have been told by Aiden. Too much meddling from the side characters.

The prologue in the book was very confusing with all the name-dropping and the Karma Club women, trying to tell them apart in a 3rd person POV was a struggle. Midway through the book I still couldn’t tell Bella, Paige and their SOs apart or their personalities so I wouldn't say this one worked perfectly as a standalone because it made it feel that the side characters were flat.

Overall, it was an enjoyable read that I wish had been better polished.

I loved the conflict between Aiden and Sienna. You’d think their past would make it impossible for them to reconcile. But, when truths start coming out, watch out! This was a great series. 5 stars!

Thank you netgalley and boldwood books for the arc of this book to give an honest review!

Urgh i LOVED this. It was wrapped up perfectly. I actually read book 3 before 2 and 1 and then decided to re read them all in order before reading this one and i'm so glad i did. It brings the series to an end nicely and its so well written! The pace of the story is perfect. A really good balance of everything!

I felt many emotions whilst reading this. I had watery eyes through this book a little bit! Theres humour, love, hurt, betrayal but it's still so wholesome. I found there was a good balance of emotions in this book. I like to be up and down when reading as it keeps me hooked!

Second chance, ememies to lovers, heartbreak, love and so much more. I'm obsessed. Cannot wait to read more from the author!
