This is a grumpy/sunshine small town romance. It is not your typical light read and has some heavier sensitive topics, where both main characters have pasts with some traumatic elements and bond. Despite the heavier topics, there are several quirky characters and the main characters, Marnie and Grady, have a lot of character growth throughout the book. Overall the book is well written and an enjoyable read. Overall some of the elements are predictable, but balanced with some tougher elements not commonly written into small town romance. Overall an enjoyable read and would recommend

This was a cute and easy read where you can turn your brain off and enjoy!
It's well written and there are lots of details but it doesn't feel like too much which is perfect. I liked the dual pov and seeing the grumpy sunshine trope (one of my favourites).
My first thought was having a car accident while listening to Chappell Roan is actually very funny.
The one thing I didn't like was the real life references like having an Instagram and posting reels, it felt way too weird to read that when reading is about escaping real life (FOR ME!!!).
Another problem for me was at the 70% mark, everything felt a bit urged and sometimes forced like i get some of the characters' characteristics but they were not necessary to the story and weren't talked about enough maybe...
Overall this book was very fun to read in one sitting and the characters are really made for each other so I recommend this book!!

This was such a good book. I loved the story and the writing so much. The characters were great and the story flowed smoothly. Will definitely read more books by this author in the future.

First of all thank you for approving my request!
I thoroughly enjoyed this book! The authors writing style had me hooked throughout this book.
I didn't want it to end, a book I really couldn't put down.

Oh this book was filled with such sadness and I wasn’t sure if I was going to like it or not…mostly every chapter I wasn’t sure if I should go on or not but I’m happy to say I really did like it. Love it? No. I’m overall glad to have had the opportunity from NetGalley to read this but I may not have picked this up myself. Every Chance After by Jessica Sherry is second chance romance that follows Marnie Strange and Grady Tripp as they learn to love themselves and each other. Both have gone through traumatic events but end up coming into each other’s lives just at the right time…literally for Marine. We get such a slow-burn romance from these two that at times I became frustrated, mainly with Grady and his hesitancy. Once again I look to the side characters in most of my reads and absolutely loved Grady’s sister Marigold the most. We need a Marigold and Pete book, ASAP. I’m glad Marnie and Tripp got their happy ever after and we didn’t have to read through a third act breakup.
3.5 stars!

Every Chance After by Jessica Sherry beautifully captures the magic that happens when two seemingly opposite souls- literally-collide: one grumpy, guarded, and skeptical, the other brimming with warmth, hope, and an unfailing belief in the good.
Every Chance after is raw, emotional, and undeniably sweet, proving that sometimes, love isn’t about changing someone; it’s about uncovering their best self. The novel is charming and immersive, striking the perfect balance between humor, heartache, and swoon-worthy romance.
Grady and Marina’s initial meeting is anything but perfect given their not so meet cute. Yet, as the story continues, they challenge each other in ways neither expected. Grumpy Grady's rough edges soften, revealing a tender heart beneath the cynicism. Meanwhile, Marina discovers depths of resilience and complexity she never knew they had. The banter between characters is sharp and delightful.
As I read, I truly felt as if I could feel the blossoming of love and undeniable chemistry. As if I could see every stolen glance and whispered conversation.
Every Chance After by Jessica Sherry is a tender romance with depth and sincerity proving why it is a definite must read!

When a book entertains you, it’s good. When a book inspires you, it’s excellent. Every Chance After is an inspiring, excellent read created by indie author, Jessica Sherry.
It’s not just the freshness in the story of Grady Tripp and Marnie Strange falling in love from a tragic experience, but it’s the flawless, flowing pace in the way it’s written.
The characters, both main and supporting, each evoke an emotion - love, hate, understanding, humor, sympathy, validation, redemption, gratitude, admiration and forgiveness.
Every Chance After is a must read this summer. Prepare to “eep”.

This book reminded me why I used to love reading romance.
Over the last twenty years or so I pretty much stopped, and only picked up a few in that time which I thought were fine. This one however, hit the spot.
The main love story made me laugh and not cringe which is a major selling point for me. What I also really appreciated was the story happening around the romance, and how our FMC in particular developed in the process. The supporting characters were also utterly charming.
I would thoroughly recommend this book, especially if you are sceptical about reading romance and fancy dipping your toe in.

I want to thanks NetGalley for the ARC
Every Chance After is a beautifully written, emotionally rich story that completely drew me in from the very first page. Jessica Sherry has a way of crafting characters that feel incredibly real—flawed, layered, and heartbreakingly human. The story explores second chances, healing, and the quiet strength it takes to move forward after loss, and it does so with a delicate balance of tenderness and raw honesty.
I found myself deeply invested in the characters’ journeys, rooting for their growth, their love, and their redemption. The emotional depth is powerful but never overwhelming, and the writing flows effortlessly. Sherry’s prose is both lyrical and grounded, making even the quietest moments feel significant.
This is the kind of book that stays with you long after you turn the last page, a warm, heartfelt reminder that love can bloom even after the storm.

4 stars ⭐️ Every Chance After is such an emotional slow burn but I couldn’t put it down. It has you hooked from the very start!
What to expect:
- small town romance
- grumpy x sunshine
- found family
- grief
Thank you to NetGalley and Jessica Sherry for the ARC. All opinions are my own 🫶🏼

Wow, just wow.
This book was such a ride I think everyone should pick it up! It gives all the cozy feelings

I think this is my first time reading a romance that is centered around a trauma bond. The characters "meet cute" was anything but. Grady and Marnie's story is full of competent care taking, complex family dynamics, and small town drama. All tropes I love to read. This has to be one of the more unique premises for a romance with them literally crashing into each other on her way to her wedding.
I loved the story early on and overall but it felt a tad insta-love to me considering all that Marnie has experienced and the timeline. This was an enjoyable read I would recommend to fans of happily ever after and "slowish" burn spice.

Every Chance After by Jessica Sherry is a heartfelt, emotional slow-burn romance that completely pulled me in. Marnie’s life is shattered after a tragic accident—caused by Grady, a broody, reclusive vet with a ton of guilt. What follows is a beautifully written journey of grief, forgiveness, and unexpected love.
I loved the grumpy/sunshine dynamic and how the romance built slowly and naturally. Grady is a top-tier book boyfriend—flawed, complex, and quietly swoon-worthy. Marnie is strong and vulnerable in all the right ways. The way Sherry handles themes like trauma, mental health, and healing felt authentic and moving without being overly heavy.
I can't wait to get my hands on a physical copy for my bookshelf—this one deserves a spot! Huge thanks to NetGalley for the ARC.

3.75 ⭐️
A tragic accident on her wedding day ends up completely changing the course of Marnie’s life, and she is left navigating her new future with the man who caused it.
I’ll be honest, if I were in Marnie’s place, I’m not so sure I would have been as forgiving as she was with Grady—even if he did save her life.
However, she’s sunshine incarnate and in spite of the life she imagined herself having crumbling around her, she continued to see the good in everything.
Despite how they met, Grady and Marnie just work. They balance each other out well, and their friendship turned romance was super sweet.
What to expect:

Ive read one other book from her through arcs and let me just say seriously the best characters, the best writing, just overall such good writing. The characters are always so mature and while Marnie has her naive moments she also kind of explain the reasoning behind acting the way she is. I loved Grady and he was the perfect grumpy to her sunshine in every way. I would love to see the other characters again as they were just so loveable too. Thanks so much for the ARC!

Thankyou for the arc copy of Every chance after.
I adored this book so much.
The start with the accident and them meeting that way can be confronting for some but I liked that it was exciting right off the bat.
This book takes you through the journey of grief, guilt, love, hope and forgiveness. I cried and I laughed and I felt all the feels.
The tropes in this book are age gap, caretaker, sunshine x grumpy, found family and small town romance.
I loved the characters and watching them grow. Solid 5 star read for me

I received an ARC of this book from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review of Every Chance After. Many thanks to Netgalley and Jessica Sherry for this opportunity.
Some love stories feel destined, and Every Chance After is one of them. This novel beautifully captures the magic that happens when two seemingly opposite souls- literally-collide: one grumpy, guarded, and skeptical, the other brimming with warmth, hope, and an unfailing belief in the good.
Set against the backdrop of a life-changing event, Grady and Marina’s initial meeting is anything but perfect. Yet, as the pages turn, they challenge each other in ways neither expected. Grumpy Grady's rough edges soften, revealing a tender heart beneath the cynicism. Meanwhile, Marina discovers depths of resilience and complexity she never knew they had. Their journey is raw, emotional, and undeniably sweet, proving that sometimes, love isn’t about changing someone; it’s about uncovering their best self.
Jessica Sherry’s writing is charming and immersive, striking the perfect balance between humor, heartache, and swoon-worthy romance. The banter between characters, both main and secondary, is sharp and delightful, while Grady and Marina’s vulnerable moments hit right where it matters. One of the novel’s greatest strengths is its ability to make readers truly feel the blossoming of love; their chemistry is undeniable, and every stolen glance, whispered conversation, and emotional turning point is beautifully crafted by Sherry.
For fans of tender romance with depth and sincerity, Every Chance After is an absolute must-read.

Oh, Marnie. You beautiful, adorable soul.
I'd like to start by saying this story hit all the spots I was hoping for it to hit; the emotional, grief-stricken journey toward love. I'm a sucker for these kinds of books, and this one delivered. It was a rich story, filled with great characters and layered with emotion. The slow burn and the romance were fantastic, but surprisingly, they weren’t even the parts I found myself paying the most attention to.
The story was compelling, and Marnie and Grady's journey was written with love and care.
My only complaint is that many of the side characters, like Grady's family and others, felt like they existed in a broader universe outside of this book. It was a bit confusing at times, as many were introduced without much background until later on. It almost felt like I was expected to already know them from previous stories. If this is part of an interconnected series, I would’ve appreciated a headsup, just so I could decide whether to dive in here or start from the beginning.
Aside from that, beautiful story, beautiful ending. I definitely cried and giggled here and there.
Thank you to NetGalley and author Jessica Sherry for the ARC!💖

This book was emotional and so full of heart warming moments between the characters, Marnie and Gardy.
I absolutely loved this book. From the first few chapters, I was hooked- so much that I binge-read this book in one day, like 6 hours to be exact! As my very first ARC, it set the bar so high! The book is filled with emotion, small-town charm, and so much depth of the characters that all comes together so beautifully in a story that was both heartbreaking and healing.
First, Marnie was so lovable. She is radiant, resilient, and just overall so lovable. You can connect to her in some way. Watching her world fall apart on what was supposed to be the happiest day of her life (her wedding day) was heartbreaking but the way she picks up the pieces was adorable!
And Grady!!!! Oh, Grady! The guilt-filled vet who accidentally derails Marnie's dreams and life, but can't help but stick around to try to make it better... I love you. I can picture how closed-off and guarded he is, yet he slowly becomes such a lovable, kind character. I mean... he braids her hair. Are you kidding me???
Their chemistry was undeniable, but what I really loved was all the little, sweet moments that were moments of genuine care, love, and connection between the characters. This book isn't just about romance, but about connecting, finding a family, and forgiving.
Tropes:
- Strangers to friends to lovers
- He's the black cat, she's the golden retriever
- Age gap
- Found Family
- Small town romance
- Opposites attract
- Protector
- Second chances

I was very happy to receive an early copy of this book. The story was written in such a beautiful and raw manner. I absolutely adored the main character, Marina. She was sunshine embodied! Unfortunately, overall, this book was not my cup of tea when it comes to spice and language. While the spicy scenes focused on emotional intimacy, there were still some explicit details that I prefer avoiding; however, I have to give Sherry props for writing a story about forgiveness, hope, perseverance, positivity, love, and resilience. The overall message was incredibly inspiring! Thank you Netgalley and Jessica Sherry for my copy of this book! All opinions are my own!
Spicy chapters: 40, beginning of 41, and 44; innuendo throughout!
