The promise of a brutally honest narrative is very accurate! A Light in the House: Joe's Journey by Liam James is raw, filthy, honest, and deeply, painfully human. Joe’s voice doesn’t just speak to you; it traps you inside his head, where shame, trauma, humor, and heartbreak all collide. It’s not pretty, but it’s real. That final scene at the bar? Quiet brilliance. Look closely. Joe’s still struggling, but he’s choosing love..

This was a creepy and heartfelt novella. I found it very real and unnerving. I could definitely see myself in the shoes of both people. Wish this had been longer. A very talented new author for me.
