there is so much we dont know about peoples lives no matter what we think or perceive those in front of us. stories like this offer us so much of a window into a story many of us can never even begin to fathom. journeys we could hope to guarantee we wouldnt have to take. i was rooting for our main character and that for me is a sign of a great book, when i actively feel for them and want them to be ok. it made me think about lots of things outside of the individual story too.
