Some of my favorite tropes are in here! Small town and friends to lovers are usually my comfort tropes, so I loved this!

I had been waiting for the next book in this series and I was not disappointed. Parker and Delaney are perfect for each other. If you love a forced proximity story, you’ll love this.

I received an Advance Reader Copy from the publisher, via NetGalley. This in no way impacted on my view.

Newly out of an on-again, off-again relationship, Delaney is ready to spend time focusing on herself and her friendships. She doesn't need nor want a man, so why is she finding herself drawn to Parker. Parker is in town to help his friends Mason and Pia renovate their inn, and set himself up to run his own construction company, rather than working for someone else. He made a pact with his friends years ago to always remain a bachelor, because he's seen how parent's romances affected the whole family. However, meeting the beautiful pharmacist and artists, Delaney, he starts to forget his pledge, and being trapped in a cozy log cabin blurs the lines even further.

I immediately dove into Desired Hearts as soon as I finished Fallen Hearts because I was hooked by Cissy's writing. We met both Delaney and Parker in the previous book, friends of protagonists, and it was nice seeing their own story. Delaney became a pharmacist to please her family, but her passion has always been in art, and she would love to own her own studio and teach. Parker is in construction, but working for someone else is becoming more and more of a drag. Helping with the renovation on the inn is just what he needs, and spending time with his friends at the remote log cabin has given him a drive to start out on his own. I really liked how he and Delaney became friends, before they gave into their attraction. They're complete opposites, but somehow it just works. Another one bites the dust when it comes to the pact, and I can't wait to see the others fall.

This book is an absolutely delightful read that hooked me from beginning to end. Desired Hearts by Cissy Mecca is the second installment in the Bachelor Pact Series, set in the charming fictional town of Cedar Falls.

The story follows Parker Scott, who has always lived by the rules of the Bachelor Pact—but fate has other plans when he crosses paths with Delaney. A snowbound weekend together changes everything, leaving them both questioning whether the pact that once kept Parker safe is worth more than the unexpected connection they’ve found.

The characters are beautifully developed, with their backgrounds and personal struggles woven seamlessly into the narrative, alongside the warmth and charm of small-town life. The swoony, slow-blooming romance between Parker and Delaney makes the story a joy to read, and what I loved most was how realistic and heartfelt it felt.

Highly recommended for fans of small-town romances, steamy chemistry, and heartfelt stories with community vibes.

I adore this series!

Four friends make a Bachelor Pact in college that they will never fall in love and the rules are in place to help prevent that from happening.

It's been so much fun to see them break the rules and fall!

Bachelor #2 is Parker and he is probably the best of the bunch IMHO. He is fun, easy going, hot, and adventurous. He meets Delaney, the town's new pharmacist, under hilarious circumstances which leads to some misperceptions. Thanks to Pia - these two are thrown together enough times that a connection is made.

Neither is looking for a relationship. Parker has some family history that makes him gun shy and Delaney is nursing a broken heart over a failed relationship with a j*rk!

Favorite parts:
--When it is on like Donkey Kong!
--Seven times!

Parker is quite the dirty talker and there was plenty of steam to go around.

Can't wait to see who's next! Such an entertaining read! Great story and wonderful characters. Lots of fun and laughs too!

More than the Pact

One more bachelor that breaks the pact and the story getting there was emotional as well as charming. Parker and Delaney were an interesting pair whose chemistry was explosive and kept heating up throughout each chapter as the tension built. I enjoyed reading this book and how the character continued to grow. It was great to see how these two were able to brin gout the best in each other. This was definitely worth the read and I could not get enough.

After loving book one I was excited to read more from the bachelor boys. This book was the turn of Parker who signed the pact after seeing the effects of his father's cheating on his mother.

Will his head and heart be turned by the sweet redhead pharmacist who wrongly assumes a certain prescription he's collecting is for him IYKYK.

While the chemistry was there in and out of the bedroom/hot tub, there did feel something a little missing. It all wrapped up a little too speedily and I felt it could have done with another 50 pages to slow it down and build their relationship more. Yes these are that good that I'm asking for more pages.

I'm still saving that 5⭐️ Will it go to the king of funny banter and one night stands Beck or is the author saving the best for last with the quiet and mysterious Cole.

I am so in love with this series. This is the second book of this series. When I thought that no story could beat Mason's and Pia's, Cissy wrote Parker's and Delaney's story. The emotions are so raw! I loved how everything came together. I literally can't wait for Cole and Beck's story. Definitely recommend for all the romantic lovers.

It's Parker's turn to want to renegotiate the terms of the bachelor pact when he meets Pharmacist Delaney and falls hard despite his misgivings. Delaney is recovering from a controlling affair and wants to avoid men and relationships. Parker is a gentleman, well in every way that counts, and she has to reconsider her life plan. I soon settled into life in Cedar Falls again and enjoyed the attraction between Delaney and Parker, the flirty dialogue, and the passion, making this a spicy small-town romance. Neither wants a relationship, and these conflicts make this an emotional read, too. I like the emotional and healing journey the couple experience, the friendship groups and the sweet, spicy romance this story delivers.
I received a copy of this book from the publisher.

Marriage Pact Rules
Never stay the night
Never date the neighbor
Never fall in love
Never say “I Do”
This is the 2nd book in the “Marriage Pact” series, and I loved it. The banter between the main characters and their friends is so much fun! This is small town life at its best!

Parker has lived in Cedar Falls all his life. He’s a hard-working guy who loves the outdoors and is happy with his single life. Delaney has recently gone through a break-up that has left her emotionally broken. Even though they have friends in common, they have never met. When they do finally meet sparks fly, and the chemistry is hot. As they grow closer, Parker refuses to break the pact, and Delaney is afraid to open her heart again.

The author does a good job of character development in a short time. We get to know Parker and Delaney and watch them grow closer and both grow emotionally.

If you’re a fan of small-town romance with meddling friends and friendly banter, this is the book for you! This is a perfect story for a quick summer read. Add this book to your TBR or download it today, you won’t regret it!

This one was a little too insta-love for me, but I still love this town and these characters. Looking forward to Cole & Beck’s books though.

Desired Hearts
By Cissy Mecca

4 dedicated bachelors create a pact to support each other in their serious commitment phobia to stay single. As we have already seen in book 1 of series the first bachelor has already fallen and left the pact behind him. So as book 2 starts we’re ready for the next bachelor to meet his match and begin the journey towards happily ever after. There are obstacles to be overcome, an ex that is nagging our heroine, neither being exactly happy with job situations, and parents making life difficult. Will any of this stall our couple on the way to love. Not a chance. So why not come along for the ride and see how it’s done.

Desired Hearts by Cissy Mecca, book two in The Bachelor Pact series, is the emotional, heartwarming, Parker and Delaney’s friends to lovers, small town romance set in Cedar Falls. Parker Scott is the nice guy, the dependable one of his Bachelor Pact crew; the one who always does the right thing, helps a friend, and treats people well. After witnessing too much heartbreak between his mother and father, he swore off relationships. Parker moved to Cedar Falls where he works construction, dreaming of owning his company, and currently working on renovating his friend’s Inn

Delaney Thornton returned to Cedar Falls to shortly after being hurt and heartbroken by an ex who made her doubt herself in every way. She’s working in the local pharmacy as the lead pharmacist in the small town she moved to as a teenager, dreaming of another job. She’s just trying to get over her ex and to start living again. A hilariously awkward pharmacy pickup puts her directly in Parker’s path.

Both have decided they did not want a relationship, but with off the charts chemistry that sizzled and sparked, not wanting to be apart, sharing friends who they spent time together, all worked to tear down the walls they both built, breaking their resolve to stay single. Once again the pact is broken, fine paid as Parker broke the rules by falling for Delaney. I loved the relationship between the boys, how they tease each other like brothers would and how supportive the girls are of each other; seamlessly blending in with the boys. This was an enjoyable and entertaining read that touched my heart.

Parker and Delaney are like the nicest couple who have both been ruined by relationships. Parker by his parents and Delaney by her last boyfriend.
Then they meet not by chance but still feels like it was meant to be. But it's nothing serious it's just for fun, until things change.
What about the Pact?
Parker and Delaney are definitely headed somewhere beyond fun but can they make it past their hang ups?
This is a really fun great group of characters, friends, found family and in some cases lovers.

Cissy Mecca's "Desired Hearts" is a charming and sensual small-town romance that justifies Lucy Score's endorsement, promising a thrilling plot with characters to remember. Parker is the focus of the story, a man in search of the family he has discovered in "The Bachelor Pact," and Delaney, a woman who has vowed to be single. Their paths meet at the Heritage Hill Inn, and despite an initial resistance to Parker's "never spend the night" policy, an undeniable attraction forces them to face their fears.

The isolation of a snowed-in cabin offers the ideal setting for their "scorching, no-strings fling," building hot chemistry and a quickening of feelings. Parker's duality as "the nice guy" with a gift for "dirty-talking" makes him an extremely sexy hero, and Delaney's commitment to avoiding relationships adds a touch of delectable tension. As their bond continues to strengthen, readers will be in awe, questioning whether Parker is able to escape his agreement for the possibility of true love. Catherine Cowles, Lucy Score, and Elsie Silver fans will definitely appreciate this engaging and intense read.

Entertaining Bachelor Pact Romance #2!!

There are rules: Never stay the night. Never date the neighbor, Never fall in love. Never say “I Do”. Four best of friends who either witnessed caustic marriages, or a man who lost his one love and never recovered. Best not to marry at all.

In book #1 Mason & Pia break all the rules. Now pharmacist Delaney is reconsidering her life's choices after a bad breakup and not enjoying her job. She is also an artist, in painting, jewelry-making and pottery. A cute meet with Parker Scott turns into time in a hot tub at a ski cabin.

Love the town, the found families, the relationships, the non-romance / romance, relatable characters, and how we are all the result of our past experiences. Family, friends, careers and so much more. Pure entertainment which I thoroughly enjoyed.

3.5⭐️ 2🌶️ This is book 2 in The Bachelor Pact series and I enjoyed this well paced story. I felt it had the right combination of humor and emotions to keep the story cozy and sweet. Though I do feel the 3rd act was anticlimactic.

Delaney is still suffering from the aftermath of her break up and it really has an impact on her relationship with men and trusting herself to make sound decisions. Parker made a Bachelor Pact with his buddies, but isn’t necessarily married to the idea and is willing to give it up for the right girl.

The Cedar Falls universe knew what it was doing when they snowed these two in for a delicious weekend of breaking down walls, building trust, and coming together In every sense of the word.

Thank you NetGalley and Boldwood Books for an advanced copy of this ebook in exchange for an honest review.

Cissy Mecca is taking us back to the cozy charm of Cedar Falls, and every time she does, I never want to leave! Desired Hearts is the second story in the Bachelor Pact series, and this time we get to fall head over heels watching Parker and Delaney stumble their way into something neither of them was looking for—but definitely needed.

Parker Scott is the nice guy of his Bachelor Pact crew. The dependable one. The guy who’ll always do the right thing, help a friend, and treat people well. Just don’t ask him to commit—he’s convinced long-term relationships are a trap, thanks to the messy examples he grew up with.

Delaney Thornton is new to Cedar Falls, keeping to herself despite her bestie Pia being engaged to Parker’s best friend, Mason. She’s perfectly happy minding her business and dodging attachments—until a hilariously awkward pharmacy pickup throws her directly in Parker’s path. Sparks fly, banter crackles, and suddenly those walls they’ve both built aren’t looking so sturdy anymore.

Their chemistry? Effortless and electric. Their banter? Flirty and fun. And let me just say, discovering that the “nice guy” likes to talk dirty? Absolutely delightful. Parker and Delaney’s commitment hang-ups felt refreshingly real, and watching them navigate their fears while falling for each other had me grinning the whole time.

The Bachelor Pact series is the perfect blend of spicy small-town romance and found family feels. Cissy Mecca has a knack for making you feel like part of the friend group, cheering for every happily ever after. While this is the second book, you can totally jump in without feeling lost—just be prepared to add the rest to your TBR immediately. I can’t wait to see which bachelor bites the dust next!
