I loved this, it was awesome ! Having got to know Jasmine and the girls through the previous books in the series, it was wonderful to finally see Jasmine get her own happily-ever-after. She's had to deal with so much, being a single mom and working two jobs as well as her cake business. Her love for her children and family, her independance, and her determination shines through in this story. So happy that she finally gets to see her dreams come true. Absolutely wonderful!

So when I was offered the next in the Micklewick series and saw "Cupcakes" listed in the title, it took little to convince me to read this.
Jasmine Ingilby, a single mom who lives, sleeps and breathes all things cake related, is hoping to take her baking to the next level when she arrives to her rented home to find a FOR SALE sign up.
Devastated, she's in for another surprise... her childhood friend Max Grainger suddendly appears back in her life.

I loved this second chance story and read through it rather quickly. It falls right into Eliza J Scott's series of cozy romances.

A really cute read set in Micklewick Bay, this is the fifth book in this series. Jasmine is a single mother who comes home one day to a For Sale sign in her garden, the story follows her through the trails of finding a place to live while starting up her new wedding cake business. I love reading about the characters lives. they are ordinary people who have the same problems as normal people so you can engage easily. It’s a feel good read that will leaving you wanting more. A 4.5 star read. Thanks to Netgalley and the publishers for a copy.

Eliza Scott's Micklewick Bay series gives you all the feels, and this book is no exception. Each book in the series focuses more closely on one of the women in an amazing group of friends. This book is mainly about Jasmine, or Jazz as her friends refer to her. She hasn't had an easy go in many ways but is so blessed in others. Her not-so-terrific, now deceased boyfriend, left her feeling that she never wanted to have another relationship with anyone other than her beautiful children, Zak and Chloe, her best friends, Maggie, Stella, Lark, and Florrie, her wonderful parents, and the elderly woman she visits with and does a spot of cleaning for, Hilda. Jazz is always busy spending time with her kids, working as a house cleaner, working part-time in a bakery, and also working at what she'd love to make her full-time occupation ... baking and decorating amazing celebration cakes. She has little time to think, let alone spend time getting to know anyone ... as tempting as Ando at the pubs oft repeated offers of pickled eggs and his home brew may be! How will she react when a dear friend from her childhood comes back into her life? This lovely book takes you on a journey into her life, her past, and what she hopes for her future. You'll find yourself laughing along, frustrated at how things don't always go as planned, and hopeful for a bright future for Jazz and all of the characters in Micklewick Bay. A truly delightful read!

Having read a previous book set in Micklewick bay I was delighted to receive a copy of the latest book. I was not disappointed, a lovely, homely book about life, friendship and love.
I liked the background history of the childhood relationship and how it was rekindled.
Lovely summer read.

I enjoyed revisiting Micklewick Bay and this group of friends. Jazz is a single mum, who is juggling 2 kids and limited finances. An unwelcome visitor from the past, an unwelcome letter and her rental being sold puts immense pressure on her. Her childhood friend Max also returns and there is definite connection. My only quibble with this storyline, is if he felt so strongly about Jasmine’s family, why did it take him so long to get in contact? The fact that he is now wealthy seemed a little trite. Despite that, I enjoyed the book and the wonderful community that is portrayed, with characters battling real problems. Great to be back in Micklewick Bay. Can read as a stand alone but good to have read the others . You follow Jasmin. She was a single mum of 2 who was amazing. Her baking and cakes sounded amazing and her children so cute. You hear about the other characters who you have followed in the past. I love these book. Pure escapement . Read it .

This was a delightful story with a great cast of characters both good and bad, One of those stories that lift your spirits as you read it and a lovely conclusion to round off it all off..

Another sweet story in this series following a group of childhood friends who are still close. Jazmine is the single mom of the group. We follow her struggles and triumphs of her cake business. And then her childhood friend Max returns and things shift.

An absolutely amazing read. This book is warm, fuzzy and everything a romance should be. I couldn't put it down, it had twists turns, serious real life problems touched on with such a delicate and sympathetic hand.

I shall be purchasing a paperback for my shelf when published!

A Lovely read of village life based around Jasmine and her daily and weekly juggle as a single mum to keep all the balls she has up in the air. The books focuses on her relationships be that with her children, her close friends or her potential love interest. This is juxtaposed with the presence of a bully and his family in the area who preys on others and adds a nasty taste to life for everyone. The book explores how Jasmine manages to keep it all afloat and the strength she gets from her friends and parents. There is a good dose of nostalgia thrown in too. The accents of the village is given life by the structure and words of the conversation which felt a little strained but otherwise a great read,
