A million YES´s is a book with an illustration that stands out and a very attractive character design, unfortunately the content is of little interest to me.
Thanks to NetGalley and publisher for this advanced reader's copy.

4 1/2 stars for this cute little story with a big lesson. Dan Doughertys’ illustrations were adorable. I’ll have to read Thousand No’s now!

This is a beautiful, fun and meaningful story featuring kindness to others but more importantly yourself. This story demonstrates the importance of putting yourself first, especially when you've given so much to others. As an educator, I would use this as a read aloud followed by a discussion around kindness, and that sometimes being kind to yourself means saying no to others. I would recommend this be a book in school libraries and would recommend it to my colleagues.

Thank you NetGalley, The phazelFOZ Company, LLC, DJ Corchin & Dan Dougherty for an ARC copy of A Million YES's.

This was a beautiful story which explored many themes, including: kindness, friendship and resilience. It teaches us that although we’d always like to say ‘yes’, it can’t be at the detriment of our own wellbeing. I love the idea of exploring this theme with younger children and teaching them to be resilient and work hard for the things they wish for, without always relying on others. A fabulous story!

How I wish I had stumbled upon this book when I was younger—though honestly, it’s never too late to learn how to set healthy boundaries. This story delivers that essential message with humor, heart, and a wildly creative flair.

The art? So. Cool. Think Tim Burton meets Dr. Seuss in the best possible way—whimsical, quirky, and absolutely captivating. It’s the kind of visual style that draws you in and makes the message linger.

A wonderfully wacky, important read for kids and the grown-ups reading with them.

Thank you to NetGalley, The phazelFOZ Company, LLC, DJ Corchin, and Dan Dougherty for the privilege of receiving this ARC in exchange for an honest review.

First I would like to give a huge thank you to @netgalley for allowing me to have an opportunity to read this incredible story. This book was an absolute must read.
As someone who is afraid to say no and always say yes I wish this story was around when I was younger. I feel like this story would be important for my students because it is important they learn it is okay to say no and to put themselves first.
This story was overall an excellent read and i thoroughly enjoyed it. I can’t wait to add this story to my classroom. #amillionyess #netgalley

I read A Million YES's with my 8-year-old son. Throughout the story, we discussed what the main character was feeling. We talked about what it's like to be so busy that you forget to take care of yourself and do things that bring you joy.

There were so many positives about this book: the illustrations in both black and white and color, the simplicity of the words but the powerful impact of the overall story, the creativity addressed as YES - the different styles and ways to "create" a yes. I also appreciated the diversity of the characters.

Overall, a children's book about self-care is one that I'll return to with my kids again and again, as well as recommend to friends.

Thank you to The phazelFOZ Company, LLC, for the gifted ARC! #amillionyess #NetGalley
