As a current medical student I was so excited about this read! It was such a lighthearted romance and was a cute quick read. I do understand some of the current reviews stating it felt a chaotic with the UK writing style but I think the story line was still there and fun! A definite summer read I would recommend to others as a palate cleanser between other genres!

I really wanted to love this book, because I'm currently in my Grey's Anatomy era and thought a medical setting would be a fun read but I found myself struggling at times with the writing. A lot of the chapters had paragraphs that felt like walls of text, which made it harder to stay engaged.

On the brighter side, I actually thought that “Dr Love” was just a clever title once I realized that it is the name of an actual character.
Cute story idea, but the execution didn’t fully click for me.

Dating Dr. Love by Rachel Dove has been such a fun read. I would recommend it to fans of Bridget Jones, for the British humour, and medical shows, for anyone who ever had a crush on a swoonworthy TV doctor. Myself, I'm partial to Robert Chase from House, so he's the face of the MMC for me. And let me tell you, that image changed things for me. 🥵

But first thing's first: I loved the premise, a fake-dating situation between a real doctor and an actor playing a TV doctor, to avoid a media frenzy that would ruin both their careers after a chance encounter and a paparazzi camera pointed their way. Add to that: she's obsessed with his TV show and has a celebrity crush on him. But will she give him the satisfaction? Oh no, she'll keep him on his toes. The banter in this one was amazing, I was eating it up. And the way he calls her "wildcat". I was screaming and kicking my feet at all the scenes between them.

Fake-dating is one of my favourite tropes and here it's done so right. The transition between fake relationship to real feelings and pining was executed perfectly. Oh the pining! Girls, if you want your men down bad, this is it. Logan Freaking Broderick, the man that you are. 💕💕💕 He is one of my new favourite book boyfriends, I can tell you that. He is super protective and caring, he just wanted someone to give all his love to. I can tell you, he pulls all the right moves and he had me swooning...like, for real swooning, out loud. 🤭🤭

I also loved Dr. Chloe Henry, our FMC. She is very relatable, in that she talks to herself, feels awkward, prefers the date of her cat in the couch, with pizza and a TV show than to go out. But she is also incredibly fierce, hardworking and determined. She can stand her ground when she needs to and I found her incredibly inspiring for that. And oh, to live the fantasy of having the attention of your celebrity crush. She handles it as all of us would - panic, on top of stomach butterflies, with sprinkles of anxiety and the overwhelming dread that no one else would ever compare to HIM.

This book deserves way more hype and I encourage you all to pick this up. It's everything a romance should be - funny, exciting, based on real feelings and challenges that make it not be so straightforward, but overall just incredibly fun and, did I mention, swoonworthy. 😍😍😍 Pick this up immediately!

I really enjoyed Dr love by Rachel dove, I found the fake dating situation unique compared to a lot of the same which are on the market so this was very refreshing.

It was a quick, enjoyable read which I was hooked on from the very start !

Rachel Dove does wonderful expressing complicated relationships. Growth is shown from characters from beginning to end, healthcare bias shown well with how men are more respected.

3.5 ⭐️
Dating Doctor Love is a fun, lighthearted romance. It’s a quick, entertaining read about an NHS doctor and an actor who plays a doctor on a popular TV show, who end up in a fake relationship. Their first meeting is funny, and the engaging writing made me want to see how their story would unfold.

A real doctor meets a tv doctor, what could go wrong?
Chloe is a doctor looking for promotion, Logan is Dr Love from a hit tv medical drama, they bump into each other literally when he gatecrashes her hotel room as she is coming out of the shower.
Thoroughly enjoyable, if highly unbelievable, rom com.

Chloe Henry is a brilliant NHS surgeon, determined to prove herself in a male-dominated workplace and finally secure the promotion she deserves. The last thing she needs is a scandal. Enter Logan Broderick—better known to millions as “Dr Dante Love,” the TV heartthrob whose party-boy antics are threatening to destroy his career. When a compromising photo of Chloe and Logan is splashed across social media, the two strike a deal: fake date to save both their reputations.

What starts as damage control quickly turns into undeniable chemistry. Their banter is sharp, their stolen moments are tender, and Logan’s unexpected vulnerability makes him impossible not to love. I adored how he supported Chloe, standing by her against colleagues who dismissed her, and boosting her confidence in moments of doubt. Chloe, in turn, is strong, relatable, and refreshingly real—pizza, TV binges, and all.

Rachel Dove nails the fake-dating trope with warmth and humor, balancing lighthearted romcom fun with an empowering look at sexism in the workplace and the cost of public image. Sweet, swoony, and utterly bingeable, Dating Dr Love is a feel-good romance you won’t want to put down.

I was in the mood for a cute romcom, and Dating Dr Love delivered just that!

Chloe Henry is a surgeon in the NHS, much to the dismay of her family, and wants nothing more than to become the head of her department. However, her smug colleague and lack of self-confidence are standing in her way. Things get worse when Dr Love, heartthrob Logan Broderick, and his party-hard reputation, ends up in her hotel room, and a photo of the pair ends up splashed across social media. To save both of their careers, they agree to fake date. Immediately sparks start to fly between the pair, and their feelings seem to be not so fake after all.

This is the first book I've read by Rachel Dove, but after reading this, it won't be the last!

This was such a sweet book without being too cheesy or over the top.

I loved Chloe and Logan together; their chemistry and bickering was so much fun to read. Logan is very much the misunderstood bad boy, which I'm not usually a fan of, but the author pulls it off, making him sweet and vulnerable. The way he stood up for Chloe and boosted her confidence was definitely swoon-worthy! Chloe may have been a top-notch surgeon, but she wasn't conceited, and her pizza and TV watching binges were so relatable!

If you're looking for a fun and lighthearted fake dating romcom, I would highly recommend this book.

Dr Love ahhhmmm excuse me! Is this like a General Hospital type thing! Haha yeah sorry I don't know much of TV Show actors but Logan and Dr. Dante Love I say yes please! And well can the real Doctor please stand up, that is where Dr. Chloe Henry comes in! And even though their meet-cute wasn't supposed to be a meet-cute cute it definitely became one super quick! He falls first, even though in reality she fell first being that she was obsessed with his actor persona! I loved that it was short and quick, some parts took a bit long because of the way she wouldn't tell the truth from the beginning. But hey in the end it definitely works out very well!

This was a very enjoyable rom com. Interesting plot and setting. Loved how supportive Logan was without being full on golden retriever. Just an all around nice guy who makes efforts to help others. The writing made for an easy read, but be warned there is some emotional mistreatment of a character from their family. So if you are sensitive to that be aware.

I love a romcom, medical drama, and fake dating... Merge all of those into one book and I am IN!

I was SUPER excited that the brilliant surgeon was female! It's not every day that the dr is female, so that made me so happy and even more interested in the book. The banter amongst characters was super witty and kept me chuckling!

This book is for those looking for a clean romcom with fake dating!

I received this ARC from NetGalley and here is my review:

This one was so cute!! I pictured Logan as Rege-Jean Page. He wasn’t described like him but I think his gorgeous face kind of fit this character.

I loved Chloe! I often have a love-hate relationship with female characters. Authors tend to write them as overly strong willed and stubborn that it’s hard for me to really feel sympathy for them. And I wind up feeling annoyed by them, most of the time. Chloe wasn’t that for me. She was vulnerable while being strong willed and confident in her abilities at work. I think she was dealing with the same sexism that still exists in workplaces everywhere. Women do have to OVER prove themselves far too often while men are just seen as naturally capable.

This book does speak a lot to the detriment of stereotyping and also how celebrities aren’t looked upon as being human but rather property. It shows how easy a photograph can be used to support many narratives and none of them can actually be factual.

I loved how their relationship progressed and how they truly listened to each other. It’s a little insta-lovey and while I don’t see an HEA in my own life I’m not too far jaded to not allow it in my books. It’s all fantasy in the end right?

But all in all. It was a cute, quick read with some spice and swoony bits! I recommend.

Doctor Chloe Henry is laser-focused on her career as a surgeon—but her ambition is constantly overshadowed by her charming yet condescending colleague, Dr. Johnathan Carson. A shot at recognition arrives in the form of a high-stakes medical conference. Enter Logan Broderick (aka Dr. Dante Love), a scandal-ridden TV neurosurgeon-slash-plastic surgeon laid low at the same hotel. Following an accidental, half-naked crash into Chloe's bathroom and the ensuing viral chaos, Logan proposes a fake dating arrangement: she’s the real doctor, he’s the PR-winning TV heartthrob. What starts as a mutually beneficial ruse quickly turns into sizzling banter and possibly... something real.

Dating Dr Love is a delightful, feel-good romance that blends medical ambition with comic romance in a refreshingly clean, modern package. With a strong-willed heroine, a flawed-but-charming hero, and witty banter to keep things lively, this book delivers on comfort and charm.

It’s ideal for:
Fans of romantic comedies and lighthearted fake-dating setups
Readers looking for a clean, uplifting romance with a dose of workplace dynamics
Those craving a breezy, engaging read to unwind

OOOOOH this was so incredibly CUTE!

As one typically would do as an amazing surgeon, Dr. Chloe Henry is trying so hard to get this promotion and her smug/know it all dumb man coworker, Dr. Carson, is standing in her way. (OF COURSE HE IS!!!!!! lol)
"Enter Logan Broderick, aka Doctor Dante Love, TV’s hottest (and most medically inaccurate) neurosurgeon-slash-plastic-surgeon. After yet another scandal involving booze, starlets, and bad decisions, Logan’s sent to the same hotel to lay low. But things go awry when Logan and Chloe literally crash into each other—half-naked—in her bathroom."

Helllooooo accidental but super cute meet-cute?!?!?! I knew from the moment that they ran into one another, they would make me absolutely SWOON! It has all the fun banter between Logan and Chloe, romance that is absolutely perfect in this kind of setting, and of course it made me kind of think of Grey's Anatomy as well (which is one of my top 5 fav tv shows of all time!!)

The spice 🌶️ level is VERY low, which I thought was totally okay! There is some romance implied, but nothing graphic at all, which still makes the book super good though! Fake-dating is one of my FAVVVVV tropes ever and Rachel Dove did a phenomenal job in telling Logan and Chloe's story in this.
The transition between their fake relationship to what would turn out to be real feelings made me feel all warm and silly inside, lol.

HUGE Thanks to NetGalley, the author, and of course the publisher as well for my copy of this ARC in exchange for my honest reviews. Can't wait to read more by this author!

Dating Dr. Love by Rachel Dove was a fine read, but ultimately not quite my cup of tea. The writing flows well, and I can see why many readers would enjoy it. However, the tropes used throughout aren’t really ones I gravitate toward, which made it harder for me to fully connect with the story. While I liked parts of it, overall it just wasn’t a standout for me personally.

Thanks to Netgalley for the ARC!

I didn't know what I was to expect from the title - but the plot of a real doctor meeting a actor who acts as a doctor is quite a novelty. I do question the hotel who gave them the key to the same room, why does that never ever happen to me?!

All stereotypes being set by Joey Tribbiani, Logan proves to be everything different - and again heartwarming how he helps Chloe regains her confidence and just see that she is a very capable doctor- it wasn't just because of her family name.

No spoilers - I enjoyed the book and couldn't put it down until I finished it (of course I have responsibilities in between I had to put the book down for.. but you get the point)
