Chaotic, tropey, corny fun - exactly what I was looking for when I chose this book. Boo me all you want, but fake dating is a top tier trope, and I will die on that hill. In that way this book did not disappoint. Both characters had some growing to do, and they did it! Chloe and Logan had great, hard-won chemistry.
I do think it could use a spit-shine editing for pace, and to put a little more transition especially around tonal shifts. In a lot of ways, this reminded me of The Hating Game, so if you enjoyed that book, I think you'll really enjoy this!
Recommended for fans of instalove, paintball, and Grey's Anatomy.

I love a fake romance trope in a book. this was ok once I got past the first few chapters. I found the beginning quite hard to follow so really had to stick with it. It wasn’t until the last few chapters I really got into it

I read the blurb for Dating Dr. Love and thought it sounded interesting and I’m always up for a fake dating/fake engagement or fake marriage, but for some reason I just couldn’t connect with these characters. I guess I shouldn’t say I couldn’t connect as much as I didn’t feel like they connected with each other. Unfortunately this wasn’t a favorite of mine but I always suggest giving it a chance since it might have just been me or maybe I was having a difficult time because I was still missing characters from my previous read. I always say definitely give it a chance if it sounds good to you! I’m grateful to have been given the opportunity to read an advance copy of this book through NetGalley.

This was a good story! I enjoyed the plot, found the characters lovable and interesting, and I would definitely recommend this to others!

I'll start by saying that the kind of story where the couple pretty much fall in love in the space of a week is not my thing. Nor is the possessive type of hero. But my review is based just on the story itself and not my personal preferences in that regard.
I thought the set-up of the story had a lot of potential - an interesting couple, an unusual but not-too-far-fetched meet-cute, lots of scope for development. There were some funny moments, some well-drawn characters and character development for our heroine.
But there were a few things that meant the narrative fell flat for me. There was an awful lot of exposition. There was so much 'tell' and so little 'show' that it became intrusive and irritating. The behaviours of the characters were also quite repetitive and I didn't feel that slow development of a relationship. It was all pretty much lust-based, which is fine, but there needs to be something more substantial too and I wasn't convinced. Lots of the dialogue was pretty clunky.
Another thing that I found rather annoying (and I concede other people might not) were the little medical inaccuracies. At the start, our heroine is hoping to be appointed head of surgery, so I thought she was in her mid-40s or thereabouts, which is an appropriate age for a well-connected, high-flying surgeon to be made head of department. No, she's 30. She wouldn't even have finished her training at this point. There was also the addressing of surgeons as Dr. Now, I can imagine our protagonist being addressed as Dr by a patient and not having an issue with it, but 'Dr' Jeffries is an arrogant, near-retirement head of surgery and if a colleague addressed him as Dr rather than Mr, he absolutely would eviscerate them. Surgeons are very protective of their Mr/Miss/Ms title. There's also the mix of British and US terminology like OR rather than Theatre, and don't get me started on a British man calling a woman 'wildcat'. Yeesh.
Lots of promise but ultimately this fell flat for me.

Thank you to Netgalley and Boldwood Books for an early copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. I loved this book and I read it in one day. I loved the storyline and all the characters. I would definitely recommend this book!

This one was firstly too insta lovey and then nothing for 6 months. I didn’t find it really that realistic of a relationship development. I did love the characters though, loved their chemistry and connection. Logan was a great guy, super sweet and supportive. Cute overall

The blurb sounded so interesting but unfortunately this was a complete miss for me.
Couldn’t connect to the characters at all. The storyline felt so flimsy and chaotic. I felt no chemistry between the fmc and mmc, their meet cute was also a mess.
ೃ⁀➷ Thank you NetGalley and Boldwood Books for the ARC! ♥︎

A hospital setting, a TV star and a rom-com vibe? I was instantly sold. I requested the ARC right away and I’m so glad I did.
Tropes:
Fake Dating
Forced Proximity
Rom-Com
Bad boy redeemed
Celebrity MMC
Doctor FMC
Protective hero
TV doctor vs real doctor
Chloe Henry is a brilliant surgeon, but she has to deal with prejudices tied to her surname (emblematic of a successful private medical dynasty) and an all-male hospital management. Determined to prove herself, especially against the unfair advantage of a rival colleague, she jumps at the chance to shine during a week-long medical conference, where candidates present their visions for the hospital’s future
Meanwhile, Logan Broderick, famous TV neurosurgeon known as Dr. Dante Love, is hiding out in the same hotel to escape a scandal, using the fake name McHenry. It’s precisely because of this fake name that he ends up colliding with Chloe just as she’s stepping out of the shower,an awkward encounter that gets caught on camera and instantly goes viral.
To fix things, Logan’s agent proposes that Chloe fake a relationship: she improves her image, he gets out of trouble, everyone’s happy. From here springs this fake love story that slowly becomes real.
Chloe Henry is a capable woman, determined, rational, and a talented surgeon, frustrated by a system that rewards men regardless of merit.
She has an apparently strong personality, but beneath her professional armor hides a woman with insecurities, family pressures, and the desire to be seen for what she’s worth.
Logan Broderick is initially presented as a superficial and problematic bad boy, fleeing from a scandal.
However, it’s soon discovered that the superficiality he’s known for in the media is only a small part of Logan’s character, making room for his caring and protective nature.
I loved how Chloe and Logan supported each other, helping one another rediscover parts of themselves they had lost or never fully embraced. Even more beautiful was Logan’s protective streak, ready to go to war with anyone who treated Chloe badly.
Rachel Dove’s writing is light and engaging. The story is told in third person, but closely follows both perspectives, filled with witty inner thoughts and sarcasm I really enjoyed
I hadn’t read anything by her before, but this arc completely won me over.

Dating Dr. Love was such a fun, lighthearted romance. I wasn’t sure if I liked the writing style at first- it included a lot of sentence fragments. However, I’m glad I stuck with it. The writing style either changed mid-book or I stopped noticing because I was enjoying the plot. Both main characters were extremely likable and I enjoyed the fake dating aspect of the book. I will definitely read another book by Rachel Dove!

Book Review: Rachel Dove – Dating Dr Love. Thank you to the publisher Boldwood Books and NetGalley for my ARC.
This book was an easy pick-up for me—I love fake dating, forced proximity, and the chaotic charm of a rom-com where a real doctor gets roped into a fake relationship with a TV one. From the moment Chloe and Logan literally crash into each other in a hotel bathroom, I knew this wasn’t going to be subtle, and that’s part of its charm. Chloe, all ambition and simmering frustration with her male-dominated hospital board, meets Logan—also known as Dr. Dante Love—who’s hot off a PR disaster and running from a tabloid storm. The set-up is loud, fast, and purposefully over-the-top, and honestly, it works. Their viral moment spiraling into a fake relationship to protect reputations could’ve felt thin, but the chemistry between them gives it weight.
Chloe is a solid lead. She’s driven, grounded, and has real emotional stakes—her fight for a promotion is personal, not just professional. Logan is a bit of a mess, but his attempts to step up and prove there’s more to him than charm feel authentic. There’s some nice growth there, especially in how he pushes back against Chloe’s overbearing family—not by rescuing her, but by backing her up while letting her speak for herself. That’s rare and refreshing. The banter mostly lands, the paintball scene is a standout, and even though the story leans into cliché territory, it does so knowingly, with heart.
That said, it’s not perfect. The pacing wobbles—slow in the first third, then suddenly fast in the middle—and the “instalove” isn’t going to be for everyone. Logan’s nickname for Chloe (“Wildcat”) took me right out of it a few times, and some of the internal monologue felt bloated. I also wish there had been a bit more medical depth given the setup; the hospital angle fades behind the romance. But if you’re in the mood for something light, fast, and full of chemistry, Dating Dr Love delivers. It’s feel-good, funny, and a bit ridiculous in all the right ways.

I received this ARC in exchange for my honest review.
This was s light beach read. Instalove doesn't do it for me but I liked the fake dating trope!

Thank you to NetGalley and Boldwood Books for the eARC of Dating Dr. Love im exchange for my honest review.
The story of Chloe and Logan's romance is an adorable, light read. Instalove, fake dating and an eventual HEA that were all well written and made this a book that I really enjoyed.
Chloe is a general surgeon who is up for a big promotion at the hospital. Logan is a TV star who plays Dr. Dante Love on a hit show. Conveniently, Chloe's favorite show. After their unfortunate but fun to read about meet, these two have an instalove story full of wonderful chemistry and support for the other's dream.

I really enjoyed Dating Doctor Love as a light hearted beach read! The meet-cute had me hooked right away. It was charming, funny, and set the tone for a fun, breezy story.
The UK writing style tripped me up a little, especially the grammar and use of single quotation marks for dialogue, which I’m less used to as a U.S. reader. There were also a few moments where the story jumped around a bit, leaving some small gaps in the premise that I wish had been filled in more.
That said, it was still a quick and enjoyable read! perfect if you’re in the mood for something fun, flirty, and not too heavy. Thank you Boldwood Books for the ARC!

Dr. love, TV personality, otherwise known as bad boy Logan - gets thrust together with real life Dr. Chloe Henry after a mishap with hotel keys. Put into a crazy fake dating scheme to save both their careers, this book is charming and funny. My least favorite part was the nickname wildcat and I just kept thinking I was reading about Troy and Gabriella. But Logan was sort of annoying and unrelatable and honestly both characters were hard for me to like. But what really stuck out to me was Logan sticking up to Chloe’s family and saying that Chloe was strong enough and just being a small piece to empower Chloe to say everything she needed instead of being a big savior complex moment.

It took me a little while to get into this one. I struggled at first, and it took a bit of time before I felt properly hooked. That said, I really liked the main characters. They had a great dynamic and solid chemistry, which definitely kept me reading.
I usually enjoy stories told in a third person narrative, but something about the way this was written felt a bit inconsistent. At times it read almost like first person, and I found that a little distracting. I’m not sure if that was just something I picked up on or if it was intentional, but it did take me out of the story a few times.
The pacing also felt a bit off. Given how I struggled with it early on, parts of the story came across as a little glossed over or rushed, which made it harder to feel fully invested.
Overall, it wasn’t a bad read, but it didn’t fully grab me the way I hoped it would.
Thank you to Boldwood Books and NetGalley for the advance copy. All thoughts and opinions in this review are entirely my own.

You’d think as a medical professional that I’d hate medical romances, but as someone who watched greys anatomy for 15 seasons before finally throwing in the towel, I’d say I’m a bit of an expert.
Chloe is a general surgeon in the public sector in the UK. Her wealthy doctor family wishes she was in private practice, but she’s up for chief of the surgery department. Through some mix up in hotel reservations, she has a naked run in with Logan, who plays a doctor on TV. To cover for the media storm of their naked run in, they decide to fake date… and we all know where fake dating leads.
I wanted to like this, there were parts that were cute—but the internal monologue parts were so rambly that I found myself flipping through then to get to any dialogue… and the 🌶️ is like, at 85% of the whole book. Pass.
For editor: several typos, also who is this woman on the cover, the female lead is a brunette—finally, would consider putting names at the beginning of change of POV, hard to follow.

For me it didnt really start as strong as I would like. I had a friend who saw me reading the book and wanted to know how it goes (we have very similar reading preferences). So because of that i kept reading so I can give her a good review. By about 40% of the book, I srtaerted getting interested in it, and it got interesting. I think the ending was sort of predicable, but I like that in some books (this being one of the books I liked it in). I did recommend it to my friend. I didnt tell her about my slow start, I think I was just in a reading slump. She is going to wait for the release of it. Its already on her TBR.

First of all, thank you for this arc!
So I was excited going into this story, but at the start, I immediately noticed that the writing style was not my favourite. I still decided to give it a chance, so that's what I did and I'm glad I did that.
I think it was a good book and a fun fake-dating romance. The setup and how the main characters met were a funny moment. However, it was going slowly for me, and at the same time, it was moving quickly. They liked each other quickly, and I prefer more of a build-up towards that. That is just how I experienced it. At some moments, I was a bit bored with the story, and I think the reason for that is that I didn't feel connected or deeply cared for the characters.
Logan is a good guy and I liked reading about how he felt about Chloe. It was interesting to see how they both liked each other and how both of them expressed that. Chloe went through some character development and I that was nice and lovely to read about.
One thing I have to say is, the chapters were at times long and at other times very short. I'm not the biggest fan of longer chapters, but I did like that they read very easily and fast.
I think this is a fun fake-dating romance book with forced proximity, and I do recommend people giving it a try. There are fun and cute moments in this book.

I received and ARC copy of this book from NetGalley!
I really enjoyed this book. It is simple and easy to read, yet it has such a sweet and funny story. I couldn’t stop smiling while reading it, and it’s also very humorous. It made me really root for Chloe and Logan and their love story. If you’re looking for an easy and entertaining romance, you should definitely read this!
