I knew this was going to be a sad read, but I didn't realise just how sad! A word of warning, if you want to read this book have the tissues ready and be prepared to cry. We meet 17 year old June Scott who has leukaemia. She is writing a book - a love story - but how can she write about love when she's never been in love. Finding out her leukaemia isn't responding to treatment, June is offered the chance for a new drug trial, and this is where she meets Jesse Taylor and despite all they are going through, the attraction is instant. Can she write the story of their Happy Ever After?
This was an absolutely heart-breaking read. The crying started at about page 2, and didn't really let up until the very end. I had to keep taking breaks from it, because at times it just felt too hard to read. The characters (all of them, not just the two main characters) were written so well, and I became very involved in all their storylines. June and Jesse's stories are very sad, but it was nice to also have their happier storylines running alongside it - a chance for a break from all the crying!
Obviously, there are a lot of triggers in this book - cancer and it's treatments, dying, grief, mental health to name a few, so if you are affected by these you may want to pass on this one. It is a difficult read, but there are some lovely moments of love, family and friendships which will lighten the read and make you feel just that little bit better about it all. Beautifully written, this author certainly knows how to rip your heart into two. Would definitely recommend.

Thank you to Netgalley and UK publishers for an advanced copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
An absolute must read for fans of The Fault in Our Stars. It has a similar presence and emotional impact, but still has its own unique characters and feel too.
I loved the book within a book element. I dont know whether it made it slightly less or more emotionally damaging. This is one you definitely need to get the tissues out for. I'd highly recommend!

If anyone can rip your heart right out it's Tillie Cole god my heart was not ready for this book.
It was such a beautiful story but so so sad. This will be a massive trigger for some as it deals with teenagers with cancer.
Jesse and Junes story is so special and honesty I can't stop thinking about them since. Jesse Taylor ugh he was just everything to June. The ending had me in an absolute state snot bubbles the lot. To be honest I was crying throughout most of the book.
I loved their friendship group Chris, Emma, Jesse and June they really kept each other going. This is emotional, it's heavy, it's real. Defo don't go into it unless your emotionally ready coz it will just hurt.
"Team two for the win."
My heart won't recover from this book. Here for emotional support if you decide to read. Defo check triggers on this one.

An emotional, beautifully written story with characters you can’t help but root for. Tillie Cole balances heartbreak and hope in a way that feels real and moving. A little slow in parts, but overall a heartfelt and memorable read.

Seventeen year old June Scott dreams of being a novelist and wants to write the greatest love story. However, June never experienced real love, and after receiving a devastating diagnosis, she believes she never will. Then she meets Jesse Taylor, who lives every day like it's his last. It doesn't take long for a strong love to form between them, and June decides to write their story for Jesse and the world to show what their life would've been like had the stars been aligned differently for them.
Wow! Tillie Cole is amazing at writing heartbreaking beautiful books. I sobbed through the last, at least 100 pages of this. This was beautifully written and was full of emotion and has so many gut wrenching moments. June and Jesse's love was perfect, built on understanding, friendship, and respect, and they felt destined to be together. I loved the way June writes their story, setting it in an alternate universe and how we get to see how their lives would've gone if things had been different for them. Emma and Chris were such well written characters, and I liked seeing June make some really good friends and also getting to experience true friendship. As heartbreaking as this is, it also has themes of hope and joy and really shows you that you should always live each day as fully as possible. This will broke my heart and put it together again and will stick with me forever. Highly recommend.

This book was a sad but special one ❤️
Write me for you is about a girl who has not yet been in love at 17. Not the beautiful, precious love her parents have and still share. And she just might never. She meets Jessie at a clinical trial on the most picturesque ranch. The two are instantly drawn to one another. They say when you are going through something REALLY tough, it helps going through it with people who are going through the same - after all, they are truly the only people that can understand what you are going through. But not only does June meet a girl that will become her best friend - she also meets a boy that makes her feel all the feels, including those of hope ❤️
June has always wanted to become a novelist - she wants to write the BIG SOUL CRUSHING love stories she has always loved - but how can she write something she has never experienced? Until one night, whilst talking about the life they have lived and the life they might not get to, Jesse utters the words ‘“Write me for you. In your great love story. Fall for me.” “Allow me to fall for you. Write me for you.” and so June does…
The story alternates between the trial at the ranch and the alternate life they could have had. And for a moment ,you hope the one storyline is the truer of the two.
There is loss, setbacks, and so much pain - but there is also hope, friendship, family, and SO MUCH love ❤️

OMG - this is a heartbreaking but beautiful story of first love and finding your soulmate when life has thrown you a curve ball. This is the stunning but emotional tale of June Scott meeting Jesse Taylor. They both hoped Harmony Ranch would change their lives but neither expected what happened. They found friendship and love while fighting to survive. It’s not often a book brings me to tears but this one had me reaching for the tissues. Even though I realised what was going to happen, I had my fingers crossed on the outcome for this wonderful couple and loved their alternative HEA. The ending is heart wrenching but brought their story to the conclusion that fitted their love for each other.
“Write me for you. In your great love story. Fall for me.” He pressed his forehead against mine. “Allow me to fall for you. Write me for you.”
We meet June first and find out she has been battling a terminal illness but all treatment has now failed. She is suddenly offered an opportunity to be on a clinical trial. She arrives at Harmony Ranch with high hopes even though it’s probably her last chance of survival. She joins seven other teenagers all diagnosed with acute myeloid leukaemia but the moment she bumps into Jesse her world is turned upside down. He’s charming and cheeky with a great sense of humour but she’s confused by his interest in her as he’s an up and coming footballer and she’s a shy introvert. To him she is his Junebug and beautiful. Their connection is instant and the love she has dreamt about, is suddenly there in front of her. Jesse has only recently been diagnosed and is struggling with the news. He calls it the Last Chance Ranch but is determined to heal and live the rest of his life because he’s goals and dreams to fulfil.
“Never say goodbye only good night”
I enjoyed the way they joked and laughed together but she could see the crack in his bravado. He’s the only one without his family there so June is pleased to be there for him when he’s feeling down. I loved how she got the chance to have a best friend in Emma and with Chris the four became the Chemo Club. Their positive outlook was so impressive that I got carried away with them and had my fingers crossed the whole time. The boys antics and their dark humour provide some funny moments.
“Group two for the win.”
Even though the subject matter is hard, Tillie writes their story with such understanding. The loss and grief is palpable and what they go through is heart wrenching but told with such empathy. It was so informative about their experiences with dealing with cancer, the different treatments, the affects they deal with and how their friends react. It was so sweet how June’s parents supported Jesse and their relationship. There are many ups and downs for everyone involved and I really felt for Chris. It's not all doom and gloom because June is an aspiring writer. When Jesse suggests she gives them their hopes and dreams to help them deal with everything, she writes their love story.
Even though the subject matter is sad this book will stay with me for a long time. 5 stars doesn’t seem enough.

“If I die,” I whispered a while later, “I want to go just like this with you next to me, holding my hand.”
Did I sob at this book and completely break…? Yes. I did. OK? Tillie Cole does that to me. She has a way with words.
Also, I was fine, I was strong until the last 10% and I just couldn’t hold it in. We were driving through Germany and here is me, little old Scottish Sam sobbing her heart out to this book.
June and Jesse will have my heart forever. This was a completely heart shattering write but it was also very bittersweet and cute.
June and Jesse are strangers until they meet at a clinic undergoing treatment for ACL (acute myeloid leukemia) and are both here for a clinical trial to help save their lives. June - an aspiring author - wants to write the greatest love story ever told. Meeting Jesse gave her a fight she never thought she’d have, a sense of purpose and meaning in life. She fell for him head over heels.
I adored their friend group, Chris and Emma. They were both great side characters who were so positive and funny. They kept the atmosphere upbeat - well, as upbeat as they could. For kids so young going through this, they are very mature and strong.
The book is full of setbacks and turmoil that the characters going through. We see Jesse - a young gentleman who has had a lot of negatives in his life so far, one being his Dad leaving when he was young.
We follow the friendship of June, Jesse, Emma and Chris and honestly, I don’t think I could love those 4 characters anymore than I do. My heart broke for Chris at the end - that ending for him, wow.
June aims to write her love story with Jesse giving them the happy ever after they both dream and spoke of. Their love and everything around them was unconditional. They were unconditional.
Their love shattered my heart. Broke me. And it healed me in a way.
Tillie Cole, I am sorry about who you’ve lost to cancer and I am sending you so much love. This book, its honestly fantastic and written so beautifully. It’s a read I will cherish forever.
Thank you @valentine_pr_ for sending me a copy of this ARC.

While this book was slightly more YA than I would normally read, there is absolutely no doubt that Tillie Cole is back to her best. This woman is a master when it comes to writing a tear-jerker, and WRITE ME FOR YOU is going to take you on the biggest emotional rollercoaster. I want to tell you so much about this book but I also don't want to spoil a single moment. I think that it is enough to say...just read June and Jesse's story and see for yourself what a gorgeous book this is.

This book was so beautifully bittersweet, the story and hurdles the characters go through are so traumatic. Tilly write in a way that you feel every emotion while submerged in the book.

4.5⭐️
I loved A Thousand Boy Kisses, so I was keen to read this book, another moving YA romance.
Our two love interests are June and Jesse seventeen they are an innovative centre for trial treatment for cancer, as traditional treatments haven’t worked.
The hospital setting is amazing, it’s a rural ranch, they only take a small group at a time, just 8 patients.
The group of 4 in their treatment group become firm friends, and romance quickly blossoms between June and Jesse.
Jesse is a football player, June an aspiring writer.
Yes it’s sad, but there’s so much hope, and joy at our couple finding their first love, and soulmate. It’s sentimental, it’s beautiful, it had me in tears.
It’s interesting using a book within a book scenario, it’s interesting how things develop. Not sure that I totally loved that aspect, but it’s different.
I loved the book, do read it, but have the tissues to hand.

Its been a while since I've read a Tillie Cole book. But what a book to read from her.
What can I say about this story... June and Jessie's story is absolutely heartbreakingly beautiful. This book drew me in on the first chapter and it didn't let me go till the very end.
Well done again on another amazing story 🫶🏼

June has no more options, her cancer has won and there is no more treatment available. It’s something no 17 year old should ever have to face, then she is offered one last opportunity, a ranch in Texas which is running a trial.
At the ranch she meets her first real friend and the boy she feels destined to be with. But, they all have terminal cancer, can they all survive the trial?
I KNEW this one would be a tear jerker. Of course it was going to be, but I UGLY cried. I think at one point I sobbed out loud. I couldn’t decide if I loved or hated the split ‘sliding doors’ style timeline. But overall any book I’ve gotten so emotionally attached to was obviously doing something right!

Thank you NetGalley and the publisher for gifting me with an ARC of this book in exchange for my honest review.
Another beautiful and heartbreaking story from Tillie Cole. Her writing has me in bits every single time, it's beautiful, it's gut punching and it's a wonderful story to follow. I was so excited to be given the opportunity to read this in advance, one of my most anticipated reads of the year and it did not fail. I cannot explain how much I adored this book, Jesse and June were honestly adorable in this and a bit insta lovey but that's to be expected at 17, however the story between them was beautiful.
Honestly, Tillie Cole's stories have me re-evaluating everything afterwards and just in a reading slump, which I need time to recover from this one. Please, everyone needs to read this!! Honestly broken but in the best way.
Will be posting on Goodreads 31/07

I love Tillie Cole's sad books and it was the same for this one. Write Me For You was so beautifully heartbreaking, dealing with such heavy topics of illness but i really enjoyed it!

I’m speechless and dumbstruck!
This story really ruined me for all others books, it was an incredible story and educational. This hit really close to home for me and it made me have such a connection with this story.
I love the friendships built in the book, trauma bonding as some would say! How Emma showed June what a real friend is and the bromance between Jesse and Chris really is perfect❤️
I can honestly say this story will stay with me for the near future! This is my ride or die book! Tillie honestly poured her heart and soul into this story and made it magical.
I loved how we got to see the story in 2 different ways, I really love how Jesse explains the parallel worlds and the way he loves her is so inspiring 🥲
This story was truly beautiful, hopeful, agonising and devastating!
Tillie has such a power to write her books with such rawness, she made me feel every possible emotion, she owes me tissues and a new heart❤️
I’ve always believed in soulmates but this book finalised that for me🥺🥺

I adore Tillie Cole’s writing however while reading this book I have realised that I do prefer her darker writing. The lighter side to her writing is too depressing for me. However this is just my personal preference and in the future I will probably stay away from reading these books rather than pushing through them.
The topics that are touched upon in this book aren’t for everyone and it really is such a hard read. I can appreciate how well she writes these subjects and how other people enjoy them however again I really do not get any enjoyment from reading these.
Please check the trigger warnings before you do read.
Again there is absolutely nothing wrong with this book or Tillies writing I just didn’t know I was going to have the reaction I did to these topics even with the trigger warnings in place!

I knew this book would be emotional but it was Chapter one and I was crying! It was definitely a Tillie Cole book! 😢
Such a lovely idea, the parallel timelines as it really made this book stand out.
" Clutching our 10% in both hands" 😢😢
This book had me in all my feels. I laughed, I cried and I hoped.
Just shows that Cancer doesn't discriminate. It doesn't care who you are, how old you are or where you are in life. It just really sucks.
Thank you Netgalley for the chance to read this early 💛

Another beautiful but heart breaking story from Tillie Cole - I was sobbing at the end. Tillie manages to break your heart but the story is also so full of hope too. Amazing but be prepared!
