What a fantastic thriller of frenmies with a past that all bleeds onto the present. I loved thw writing and the changes in Pov and getting to know both Holly's who are both very different and in some ways exactly the same. I loved the characters and the twists and turns this book took I found myself unable to put it down andeondering what was going to happen next. I was very surprised by some of the twists and have to say I lpve when that happens when a thriller can still shock after all the years reading them. I loved the switches in time and also the co flicts between woman and friendships as well as holding things within and having it finally bubble to the surface. I love the setting of the money and heat of Miami and the past of a small London town and there teen years. The writing was witty tense and under all of it had a edge of two people on the edge of something. I really loved this and highly recommend.

Elizabeth Knowelden did a cracking job narrating this. It's unusual to hear a British narrator do an authentic British accent in American audiobooks. However, the story is about two women named Holly (why?), and she does the voices for both women. I got turned around several times and had to start over. more than once because I'd got myself confused. One woman was from the North of England, but it wasn't enough to distinguish between them when they were both talking, and it took me out of the story multiple times. Authors, please don't name your characters the same name, and if you do, please pay for two different narrators (or get them to make the accents so different that audiobook listeners stand a chance of following the story). pleaseandthankyou!

With that said, I managed to get the hang of what was going on, and the final few chapters were a joy to listen to. I kind of expected the twists and turns, given we knew the outcome of part 1 before part 2 had finished, but it still kept me somewhat engaged. I loved that the chapters were numbered daggers, which will fit into the story as you read it.

It was a joy to listen to Elizabeth Knowelden (even if I got lost multiple times), and I would look out for audiobooks narrated by her in the future. There were no audible errors or line repeats that I noticed, the story inconsistencies aside this was an enjoyable audiobook to listen to and I will be sure to look out for more Brilliance Audio audiobooks in the future.
