This a fascinating story taking place in the early 1700’s. A love story between a white woman and a Cherokee Chief. Very engaging story.

My favorite character in this novel is the Cherokee Chief, Black Bear. He is both a lamb and a lion. He is a generous and honorable man who serves as a role model to his people. He secretly tracked the whereabouts of Jeremiah’s missing daughter and nurses Bryanna back to health. Black Bear is also very discerning and wary of Niles’s true intentions, while trying to drum sense into Biting Sense’s jealous mind. His life makes him the perfect hero, like those portrayed in the stories told by his kindly mother, and the lamb Bryanna deeply loves. He is also lion-hearted and protective of his people and family. He is immensely ruthless towards his enemies, showing brutal mercilessness towards Wild Arrow and the invading Creeks.

Bryanna’s character development throughout the story is, in fact, one of the best aspects of this book. From a slightly naïve and arrogant young woman, she transforms into a determined, vengeful warrior. Her revenge against the Iroquois, coupled with the immediate care she shows for Beatrice and her child, indicates the deep connection Brianna has with all those she considers family. Brianna still loves to test people’s patience, as commented on by Jeremiah and Black Bear, but she proves herself by saving Black Bear’s life in the Creek invasion, earning his admiration.

I do not have any negative views about the book. It is a tale of love, war, and vengeance, with interesting, well-crafted storytelling and suspense-filled chapters that constantly pique readers’ interest, leading to a very satisfactory and interesting ending.

I did not find any typographical mistakes or grammatical errors because this book is excellently and thoroughly edited. I, Michael Lartey, the reviewer, find this book to be filled with credibility, emotional suspense, and power. Because of this, I rate this book 5 out of 5 stars.

Due to its content of mild profane words and sexual content, I recommend it especially for adult readers interested in fiction, romance, and Native American history.

this was my first western romance and i liked it. This maybe is not my genre, but i read in on one sitting and would recommend this to the people who loves this genre. :)
