Out-of-Body Experiences : Explorations and encounters with the astral plane. This is a really interesting and comprehensive book on OBEs. The author has extensive experience and collates information from far and wide. This is one of the best books I have read on the subject and would highly recommend it for beginners and the more advanced reader in OBEs. Excellent book, easy to read with lots of additional well researched information.

Out Of Body Experiences by Samantha Treasure, this book was pretty good it did investigate all the different viewpoints of out of body experiences from the religious to the occult but I just wish she would’ve followed up the experiences she did tell us about like the one about her roommate and how she saw him cooking with the three guys in his room but she never said how the whole experience went nor what her roommate said about it. There were other times I felt like she left a lot of interesting things out I mainly read this to read about her experiences but it was more about her experiences in investigating the different aspects. The stories we did get we’re half told and just left me wanting. I know some others claimed this was a great book and she explained it well but I didn’t agree I did enjoy the different aspects not to beat a dead horse but as for actual out of body experiences the book left me wanting. I would still recommend it if you want to know more than just the experiences and how other people view an experience out of body experiences then you will enjoy this book if you’re looking for actual cases I don’t think it’s great for that. I do want to say I did found her investigation not to be biased and was a very honest telling of her experiences at these different retreats and with these different mentors and so by far the book isn’t bad I just think it’s not going to be for everyone interested in the experiences that aren’t really reported in the book. sorry to use the word experience 1 million times in this review I didn’t know what else to call it. #NedGalley,#TheBlindReviewer, #MyHonestReview, #SamanthaTreasure, #Out ofBodyExperiences,

Thank you for the opportunity to read this title. I didn’t finish it, as it wasn’t quite the right fit for me personally.

Out-of-Body Experiences by Samantha Treasure offers a well-balanced and comprehensive exploration of OBEs, blending the author’s personal experiences with insightful research. From the very beginning, the book provides an accessible entry point into a complex and often misunderstood phenomenon.
Treasure not only explains what out-of-body experiences are and how people typically achieve them, but also shares real-world examples and techniques that make the concept feel grounded and approachable. What sets this book apart is its critical awareness—she doesn’t shy away from highlighting the potential dangers and pitfalls within the OBE and astral projection communities, giving readers a well-rounded view rather than a romanticized one.
I found the book to be both informative and engaging. By the end, I felt much more confident in understanding what an OBE entails, how to approach it with curiosity and caution, and how it connects to broader topics like astral travel and near-death experiences. This is a great read for anyone curious about consciousness exploration or spiritual phenomena. Highly recommended for those drawn to the mystical, but who also appreciate grounded, thoughtful analysis.

An excellent resource on all things OBE. I’m no stranger to books on OBEs and I was very impressed with the authors attention to detail. This is a great reference for people trying to understand the phenomenon better, be it their first read or their thousandth there’s plenty of fresh and well researched information about the subject matter. I loved how detailed and informative the book was without talking down to the reader. A fantastic and fascinating read.

I was curious about this book because it ties in with a few experiences I had in the past. I felt that the author, Samantha Lee Treasure, did an excellent job of thoroughly researching the subject and sharing her own experiences along with the experiences of others.
