This kept me gripped from the first page until the last.
Robyn was twelve when her world was blown apart, her father was abusive and ended up murdering her mother. Her father managed to go into a witness protection programme while she was put into care, not having the best life.
Now Robyn wants to find her father and sets out to do whatever it takes to find him. She tortures people for information and leaves notes on them that say “GIVE HIM TO ME”. Kez Lanyon is brought in as a profiler to find Robyn, but is she up for the task?
This was another great read by this author, it had a good storyline with some well developed characters. I highly recommend this if you enjoy reading suspense thrillers.
Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for an ARC of this ebook in exchange for my honest review.

What an amazing thriller. Told from the point of view of two very strong females, this will really make you question things. Is it possible to feel sorry for a torturer? Can wrong ever be right? Such an amazing narrative, you just don't know where it is going to go next. Stunning.

oh Dorothy Koomson you are a wizard, a magician, a book writing genius. aren't we all lucky and blessed to have authors such as these giving her their talents to is via the world of books.
Dorothy is gifted in writing thats all you need to know. oh and to pick up this book and read it and any more of her you've missed.
this book is full of new and complex characters. the plot is enticing and exciting and all together unputdownable. i had to know what was next. i had to know what was happening with who, how it would play out, how it would possibly end. i was involved. hooked. stuck in my seat until the end and i didn't mind one bit of that time spent there.
the themes in this book might need to be explored by some. and that IS PERFECTLY OK to do so. there is no bravery in making yourself ill from triggers. thee is bravery in knowing exactly where you are and protecting that.
this book follows Dr Kez. and for this book we also have Robyn. she was just a young girl when she watched her father murder her mother. but her father got to go into witness protection programme to be hidden from the world. Robyn was put into care and lived with what happened inside of her bubbling and punishing away at her insides. now in her adult years she is on a mission of her own. that mission is to kill anyone involved in her fathers case via a reunion.
and this is where Dr Kez is bought in. she must profile and figure out this case before Robyn has her way. she believes a cover up happened with her father. and she is telling everyone to "give him to me" and killing off anyone involved in said cover up. she wont stop until they are all destroyed and of course so is her father.
you once again get taken on an emotional journey for all of our characters and the plot we are given weaves through and around them perfectly. you are given the horrific tales of Robyn's experiences on one hand. and then we get to know Kez a bit more too all the while the good Doctor has to try and be in work mode and home mode and that balance is NOT easy in the job she does.
i was so on edge in my emotions for this book. and i say that in the best way a brilliant thriller can do that to you.
it was so much and never too much.
it was just perfection.
once again Dorothy has delivered. and delivered in the best way ever!

The return of Dr Kez Lanyon is explosive, compelling and edge of the seat compulsive reading. 'Give Him To Me' can be read as a stand-alone, however to fully understand the complex character that Kez is, I recommend reading 'Every Smile You Fake' first.
Twelve year old Avril had witnessed her controlling father's continued and brutal abuse of her mother from an early age, until the day he went too far and murdered her. Initially telling the authorities she had been killed by intruders, Avril's father admitted his involvement however was not charged with the murder. Instead he was given a new identity and effectively disappeared. Avril was forced into care and whilst she had no idea where her father was, or his new identity, it soon became clear he continued to control her life. Changing her name to Robyn, she survived the care system and vowed to find her father to make him pay for what he had done to her and her mother. Now in her twenties she begins her mission to wreak revenge on those who wronged her and her mother, and most importantly, find her father. One by one people connected to those wrongs are killed with a note saying only 'Give Him To Me' left with the bodies.
Profiler and therapist Kez is now working for an organisation, apparently independent of the government, headed by long time nemesis Dennis, and is tasked to find Robyn and prevent further killings.
This is Dorothy Koomson at her absolute best, you think you have it worked out and bam off goes the plot in a totally unforeseen direction again and again. The meaning behind the title so unexpected and is everything I have come to expect from the author. The plot includes some painful subjects including coercive control, physical, emotional and sexual abuse and abuse against a child which may not appeal to everyone, The abuse endured by Robin and her mother is so shocking but written in such a way to be more emotional than graphic, and as such, a less uncomfortable read than it could have been.
A solid five stars from me!
So many thanks to NetGalley and Headline Books for my advance reader copy in return for my honest and unbiased review.

A really enjoyable read from Dorothy Koomson. I read this is a standalone and enjoyed in very much. Certain references make me this it is part of a series however. The plot is gripping. Kez is a psychologist / secret agent (something of that ilk!). She is drafted in to the case of a serial killer who leaves the mysterious note 'give him to me' on each of the victims. This is no ordinary serial killer however (if there is such a thing). The back story of the assumed murderer is fascinating and SO well told. I loved this! 100 5 stars!
My thanks to netGalley, author and publisher for the opportunity to review this novel in exchange for an advance copy.

Absolutely bloody brilliant! Dorothy Koomson is a gifted writer, tackling challenging themes and this was up there with the best of her work. Profiler Kez is embroiled in a case involving a young woman whose father was in witness protection despite murdering her mother when those close to the initial case start turning up dead.

Thank you to Netgalley for allowing me to read this book in return for an honest review. I am a fan of Dorothy Koomson and I always enjoy her books. This new book Give Him To Me tells a harrowing story of domestic abuse and the disturbing aftermath for the child involved. The main characters were very well written and had amazing depth and detail. This was definitely an edge of your seat thriller and I highly recommend it. 5stars.

I really enjoyed this book. As always with Dorothy Komston novels its told from the perspectives of two strong female characters and the plot is quite intense!
Robin is a troubled young woman who witnessed the death of her mother as a preteen and is on a mission to find her violent father, who is hidden away with witness protection. Unfortunately her methods of finding information are quite extreme.
Kez is a criminal psychologist, trying to help the police track down Robyn but is struggling with some events from her own past and has a complex, abusive relationship with her boss, who impedes parts of her investigation.
The story kept me hooked to the end, lots of surprises! I wish I knew what had happened with Kez's friend Brian, though, as I found references to that a little confusing.

Dorothy Koomson never disappoints. I've been a fan since The Ice Cream Girls, so I was thrilled to get an ARC of her latest book.
It was great to see Kez and her family again, this time as she tries to help young Robyn, who witnessed her father killing her mother as a child and is now on a mission for revenge.
The story is packed with the twists and surprises that make Koomson's novels so enjoyable. I can't wait to add a physical copy to my bookshelf.

Having previously devoured Every Smile You Fake, I was thrilled to receive a NetGalley ARC of Give Him to Me—and it more than lived up to my expectations. Dorothy Koomson once again delivers a tightly plotted, emotionally intelligent thriller that’s impossible to put down.
Kes (short for Kezuma Lanyon) is a skilled profiler working for a covert agency, though her professional life is complicated by her dislike of her boss, Dennis, and the emotional strain it places on her marriage. From the opening pages, I was drawn into the intensity of the case: Kes is asked to profile Robyn, a woman on a violent mission to find her estranged father, inflicting vengeance on those who once protected him.
As the narrative unfolds, Koomson masterfully explores themes of coercive control and the long-term trauma of domestic abuse. Robyn is a fascinating, complex character, and despite her extreme actions, I found myself empathising with her as the layers of her past were revealed.
This is one of those rare reads that stayed with me long after finishing. I even found myself sneaking in a few pages at work—I just had to know what happened next. The pacing is perfect, the emotional depth compelling, and the psychological insight razor-sharp.
A brilliantly researched and utterly absorbing thriller from the queen of the big reveal. Five stars, without hesitation.

Twelve-year-old Robyn ‘Avril’ Managa lived with her mother and baby brother Milo and her controlling and abusive father. That all stopped when Robyn witnessed her father murder her mother. But when the police came instead of arresting him and punishing him for his crimes. He told the Police that masked men came into their home and killed her. Straight away her father and baby brother went into witnessed protection and Robyn went into the care system. Not having the best of life in care.
Now all grown up in her twenties. Robyn wants to find her father and will do what ever it takes to find him. Even leaving several bodies her wake to get to her father. Leaving a note on their bodies saying ‘Give him to me’
Doctor Kez Lanyon a profiler is called on the case. But can she find her before it’s too late.
I have heard good things about this author, but ‘Give him to me’ is the first book I read. I also wasn’t aware this is the second book involving Dr Kez Lanyon. But I had no problem reading ti as a standalone. This is a fantastic thriller, with great characters especially Robyn and how we get into her Psychotic mind and find about what happened that fatal day when her mother was murdered and the days that followed her past that made her that way. This story is also about abuse and how sometimes women are not taken seriously when it happens to them. The is a great read that keep you thinking for a long time. 5 stars from me.

I probably should have read the first book as I felt a little left out in parts, but this didn’t take away from the story. I wasn’t sure how things were going to unfold and I really enjoyed the array of characters. Fast paced for sure.

Robyn is 12 years old when she witnesses her abusive father murder her mother. However, rather than being sent to prison, her father is placed in Witness Protection and Robyn is put into "care." Robyn is now in her twenties and deeply traumatized and on a one woman mission to find her father, leaving a trail of bodies behind with a message of "Give him to me!"
Kez Lanyon, from a previous novel, “Every Smile You Fake”, steps in to try to uncover what is happening. There is a somewhat overstuffed plot, full of twists and turns that kept me page turning. A great holiday or lazy weekend read but with some pertinent points to make about how abused woemn and their abusers are protrayed in the media. I've always been surprised that more of Dorothy Koomson's books have not been picked up and made into dramas, in a similar way to Harlan Coben's output.

Another brilliant storyline and characters from Dorothy Koomson. Her books are always totally different every time and always full of twists and turns. This one is no different and was totally gripping from start to finish. I didn't want it to end but I did want to know what happened!

Dorothy Koomson excels again in this dark, twisted thriller where nothing is as it seems. A Koomson fan since the beginning I have loved her turn into suspense thrillers and this was her best yet. I hope to see more of Kez and her shadowy department!

I really enjoyed this thriller book by Dorothy Koomson. I have read some of her previous books so knew I would be in for a treat. It had me guessing until the end.
I liked the different characters featured, and the writing style of two different perspectives. I recommend this book.

Wow. Just wow. This book was incredible. I love this author, and have done since her very first book! The way this is written kept me on the edge of my seat, and I swallowed the story so fast - it’s one of those that you simply can’t put down. I did find some parts really difficult to read, because some of it felt very similar to some things I’ve been through, particularly not being believed by the police.
Honestly, I don’t want to give away what happens in this book but if you don’t read it then you are missing out. Run and buy it, go now!

First of all thank you for approving my request!
I thoroughly enjoyed this book! The authors writing style had me hooked throughout this book.
I didn't want it to end, a book I really couldn't put down.

I love Dorothy Koomson books , especially when on holiday it seems, Give Him to Me is classic Koomson draws you in whilst also being completely over the top .
Old time fans know to lose plans to read this book newcomers welcome to the family.
Your jaw will drop , read it

This is a great dual perspective thriller featuring profiler Kez who first appeared in Every Smile You Fake, and Robyn who is determined to track down her dad who is in witness protection by any means necessary. As I had read Every Smile You Fake I was somewhat familiar with Kez but had forgotten some elements and I think they could have been better recapped rather than just alluded to however overall it didn’t really affect my enjoyment but it is worth reading both in order. Whilst it was good to follow Kez’s progress with her job which started in a dramatic fashion I really enjoyed Robyn’s story which was horrific but really well related especially when explaining considering the impact of her dads actions on Robyn versus the way he escaped justice. There were a few twists in this but nothing dramatic however the storyline was compelling enough without overplaying things and I found it an engrossing read.
