This book took some time to get into—the pacing at the start was on the slower side—but the characters, especially Levi and Sloane, became more compelling as the story progressed. Once it hit the halfway point, the momentum definitely picked up, and I found myself more engaged in their emotional journey..

There is a touch of spice, though it’s pretty mild and secondary to the story’s emotional weight. In addition to the already heavy themes and trigger warnings, the inclusion of pandemic-related content made parts of it feel even more intense. While it may not be the easiest read emotionally, it does offer a thoughtful take on love, second chances, and the quiet resilience required to keep choosing each other, even when the world feels like it’s falling apart.

thank you net galley for the arc copy.i thought the story was an ok story it has time travel it was tought to get into at first, but not a bad abad story just not great.

I was in the mood to read Erotica and this was available to download, I picked it up. Unfortunately, I had to DNF it after 50 pages. The character is a self-deprecating husband who has returned to his past after a deadly accident and wants to redeem himself. The premise made sense for him to be self-loathing about his former self but it was overly portrayed.

I understand that the character is supposed to display remorse and hate his old self, but it doesn't have to repeated every other page... Clearly, not my cup of tea.

First and Foremost Thank You NetGalley and Posh Pangolin Publishers for the Arc of One More Chance. I really wanted to enjoy this book but it fell short for me. I found it a bit confusing to stay with in the story line and to stay invested. Yes it is a redemption novel with time travel aspects, but it came off very far fetched. With multiple grammatical errors including calling characters the wrong name multiple times. It needed a really strong edit and possible restructure. I liked the premise of the story line, there were plenty of emotions poured into the story line but they just fell flat for me. This book took me over a week to read because I had to go back and reread portions to make them make sense. I do believe this could be a great start to the Authors Career as a writer with some more editing and tweak of the storyline.

If you are looking for an emotional experience then this is the book for you! This book covers first love, time travel, redemption, mystery, murder, etc (you name it its probably in there lol). I definitely enjoyed watching MC grovel and seeing his pov/thought process was refreshing. I do think it could’ve expanded more on the kids futures since we barely got anything but it still made sense. I had fun and I definitely enjoyed the book, thanks for the arc!

I was attracted to the cover and the synopsis of this title. I'm so glad I was able to read the story. It's very dark and full of complicated topics, but important ones. I gave this book four stars because I loved the plot of the book, the detail throughout was amazing, it was a beautiful story about a second chance. I did notice inconsistencies in the stories which is why I rated it 4/5 stars.
The timeline was a bit confusing at parts and I had to go back to reread some parts and sometimes even then it didn’t make sense. I don’t like that they chose the name Angie for the receptionist at the clinic and for Levi’s crazy mistress. I also noticed in chapter 33 the author says the name April but I assume they mean Violet.
Overall I really enjoyed this book, it provoked so much thought, how much choices can affect your future, how there are consequences to actions. This writer is incredibly talented with descriptions and they really make you feel for the characters when they’re describing feelings, I highly recommend giving this book a shot!

Seems simple enough, but there’s an added layer of time travel – Levi only has this second chance with his wife, Sloane, because he died and suddenly woke up 12 years in the past.

This book had a really interesting premise and did a good job portraying redemption with raw, emotional depth, and I appreciated the focus on healing and second chances. That said, it definitely needs A LOTTT of editing — there were tons of spelling and grammar issues, the daughter, Violet, was referred to as April three different times throughout the book, the wife was also referred to by the wrong name once, and some sentences/paragraphs were repeated with slightly different wording.

The storyline was far-fetched, the amount of people who were time travelers/reborn after death felt kind of excessive, especially considering the book doesn’t seem to be marketed as heavy on paranormal activity. On top of that, the worldwide virus subplot (aka covid) was overly dramatic and didn’t really add much at all to the story. Still, it held my interest enough that I had to see how it ended because I just don’t have it in me to DNF a book. With a solid edit and a bit more focus, this could have been a much stronger book.

Written with a lot of angst and emotion. At times I felt like I had jumped into the second or third book of a series as the character reacts to being plopped into a past lived life and it took me a minute to get acclimated. There’s some dark and intense themes and I can’t stress enough the emotions that I felt in the writing.

From the first chapter, the story hooks you in with its emotional depth and intriguing premise. Ok but how did he come back/get a second chance to begin with?

Why was the wife dominant only at the end? She should have been sterner with him at the beginning of their marriage, had him help more around the house and with the kids and not allowed him to get away with being the lazy, non present parent he was before.

Shouldn’t he have just blocked the stalkers number on his phone? Would have stopped her from blowing it up.

The lack of birth control when he full well knew he needed a vasectomy was wild as well. Lack of birth control or talking with your partner about that isn’t cute.

LOTS of typos and duplicate sentences, much more editing work will need to be done.

It did hold my attention and it definitely has potential, just needs some clarification and edits done first.

I didn't want it to end, a book I really couldn't put down.

While the premise of this book had potential, I found the execution lacking in several key areas. The manuscript would benefit from more thorough editing, as numerous issues in grammar and structure detracted from the reading experience. Additionally, the narrative felt inconsistent and difficult to follow at times, particularly the protagonist’s inner monologue, which often came across as disjointed. The plot elements also strained credibility in ways that disrupted immersion—not simply due to the fantastical aspects, but because of a general lack of cohesion in the storytelling. Unfortunately, I chose not to finish the book and do not anticipate revisiting it upon official release. I appreciate the opportunity to read the work in its current form and hope it undergoes significant refinement before publication.

This book was very confusing. It came across as cheating redemption novel, nowhere in the blurb was time travel mentioned. Ok I can roll with that. But then all the sudden multiple people are time travelers and it descended into chaos. The fmc would fall prey to bbs, and then in the next chapter it would seem like it was all forgotten. The basic idea was good, but it was very disorganized, confusing and it just didn’t make sense.
