Thank you Netgalley for my first L.G David read & ARC!
This book follows Cora, a woman who wakes up with no recollection of her life, and a husband she can’t remember. The story has different perspectives and timelines which help build the suspense. Overall, it was a fast paced thriller that had me questioning my own predictions, and eventually put all the pieces together.

Many thanks to netgalley, the author and bookouture for approving my request to read this book.
Not His Wife is a brilliantly written, twisty and unpredictable psychological thriller in which we meet Cora who is recovering from an accident that has left her with amnesia. As she tries to piece her life together she finds that everything is not as it seems in her home becomes determined to find out just what secrets those she holds dear are keeping.
I found this book a riveting read and loved the twists that just kept coming right until the very last page, I'll definitely be recommending this one!

“Not His Wife” by L.G. Davis is a twisty 4-star read! Cora Harrison is recovering from a fall that left her with amnesia. She doesn’t remember anything about her life before the accident, not even her husband, Evan. As she tries to piece together her past, things don’t always add up.
Much of the story is told from Cora’s perspective, giving readers a firsthand look at her struggle to remember who she is. Overall, this is a quick read. Some parts, especially in the first half, felt a bit slow. Just when you think there can’t possibly be any more surprises, the author throws in another twist, right up to the final page.
There were a few moments where I questioned what was going on, but those were explained by the end, and everything came together nicely. I’m looking forward to whatever L.G. Davis delivers next!
Thanks to Bookouture, L.G. Davis, and NetGalley for providing me with the opportunity to read this ARC and share my honest review.

Wow i couldn’t put this one down! So many twist i was left shocked. The cover alone pulled me in and had me so interested.

First, thank you Netgalley and Bookouture for the ARC!
The plot itself is surely not exactly new, like, at this point I've had a couple of books with at least one character suffering from amnesia. However, it still blew my mind once again! The story was a rollercoaster, fast-paced and full of twists and turns. I was glued to the pages, rooting for Cora and wanting to get the the bottom of it all as much as she did. Because she feels like nothing that Ethan does tell her is true. Not that he is her husband. Not even that Cora is her name. And she needs to find out why...
Very well done, highly recommended!

Thank you to Bookouture and NetGalley for the opportunity to read this book and to give my review.
Not His Wife is the first book I’ve read by author, L.G. Davis, and it won’t be my last. What a rollercoaster ride!
This psychological thriller centers around Evan Harrison, his wife, Cora, and his Aunt Mary. Evan and Cora have recently moved into a new home (locked basement included) and Aunt Mary is living with them, as she has dementia and they both look after her. We are also introduced to a housekeeper, Lina, who cleans the house and helps a bit with Aunt Mary. Cora is recovering from a recent accident and is struggling to regain her memory. She’s trying to remember many things, including her husband.
The story has so many great plot twists that it will keep you up reading late into the night. This one is a winner! I am looking forward to reading more books by L.G. Davis!

Lawd evan. 🤦 So you come home to a home you have new memories of. A weird aunt giving you warning and what are you supposed to do? You absolutely try to solve the mystery of who you are and who Evan and the aunt is. Are you the wife? It's simply a book I couldn't put down. I finished it in 2 hours. I couldn't say I had a favorite character which did make me kinda blah but I did like the book alot. It was twists turns and jaw dropping. Highly recommend it. Also, was she his wife? Read it and find out.

oooooooooooooooooooo, what did i just read. CORKER OF A BOOK IS WHAT! sorry for a caps moment there but the exictement from this book deserved it.
firstly are we at all surprised? no we are not because as we all know or should know by now that L.G.Davis knows how to write her genre. she has honed her skill like a pro.
this i fast paced not only because of its own doing but also of how much you want to and do end up whizzing through it.
its smart. its clever. and it keeps you on your toes throughout. and boy does it continue throughout, because from beginning to end it hooks you.
this will be going to my top list. and i doubt it will be pushed aside.
it doesn't ever feel done just for being dones sake. it doesn't feel like its just for tick boxing the twists or turnie trope box. its all done with purpose. its all done with need. its all done with absolute necessity.
you also felt the emotional side of it too which only added to the levels of unease of slight fear you felt going on with the guessing games of just what was happening, who to trust, and how it would end up.
is there even a victim here!?
oh yes you will love this book. go on read it. read it now. you will not regret a second of this book.

A fast-paced thriller with a gaslighting/creepy character who is scheming and innocent people are impacted by his web of lies.
Thank you NetGalley and the publisher for access to this eARC.

I thought this was a pretty good read, though maybe a little repetitive at times. It centers on Cora, who wakes up from a coma only to find she has amnesia. Her husband, Evan, convinces her that everything is fine and being back in her familiar home will bring the memories back. However, nothing seems that familiar to Cora and she knows something is wrong but can't put her finger on it. While there have been many books written with a similar storyline, this one did end up going a different direction.
Cora was mostly a likable character and I appreciated that she had moxie, but there were some things that I felt any reasonable person would have done if they had lost their memory which she did not do. The first half of the book was a bit repetitive, with Cora concerned about her memory loss and Evan doing more things to show the reader that something seems like it's not right. Things picked up in the 2nd half of the book when the twists start occurring. I figured out the major twist to an extent, but didn't have it totally right. The twists were well-done and tied in well to the questions I had from some of the things that happened earlier in the book. The end was good and resolved any lingering unanswered questions.
Overall, this was a good read that took a bit of a different look at a common storyline. Thanks to Netgalley for providing me with a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

It has been quite a while since I have been so surprised by a thriller! I really could not see any of the super twists coming!! At first you think, ok this is deja vu, the horrible husband who did something to his wife, but then!!! you get a 360° twist that I had really not seen coming... and then again and again, wow this one blew my mind!! Thank you so much NetGalley for this advanced copy, I really enjoyed reading this book so much!!!

When I saw that I could be an ARC for this book, I ran! I was so excited to be able to get my hands on this early.
My followers on instagram may know that Davis is one of my favourite thriller authors, and I binged her books earlier this year.
I loved this book from the get go, the husband gave me the creeps right from the beginning, he was so well written about and he was described perfectly. Again, as normal, all the characters were wonderful!

Just Wow!!
This was not the first book I have read by L.G. Davis so I was expecting it would be really good but I admit this book blew me away.
When I saw this book was being offered by Netgalley as an ARC I immediately requested it and I'm so glad I did . I loved the book from cover to cover and truly didn't want to put it down. It took me literally 2 days to finish it and that was because I did actually have to sleep at some time .
Every time I thought I understood who each character was the author threw a curve ball and we were taken in a different direction which made the story all the more interesting.
So here is my honest review . Thank you to #NetGalley and #Bookouture for this great ARC . I give the book 5 stars and know everyone looking for a great Psychological Thriller will love it also.

Cora wakes up from a coma and learns that she had an accident and suffers from amnesia. She’s surrounded by people she’s supposed to be close to but she doesn’t recognize any of them. There’s her husband so caring and patient (the pet names are nauseating), her husband’s aunt who suffers from dementia, and a caretaker. She’s uncomfortable and since we’re living through her point of view so are we.
I was a bit worried that this book would use the overused trope of « man kidnapped woman and is making everyone believe that she’s his wife », in a way it does use that trope, but with a twist. Several twists actually.
I liked Cora a lot, she’s sharp and caring. A bit too sharp sometimes because she keeps putting herself into risky situations. Evan, the husband was a red flag from the start (the men always are in domestic thrillers), so nice, too nice. He always has an answer for everything and he never leaves Cora alone for too long. Since we only see them through Cora’s point of view, I was suspicious of pretty much everyone we meet, rightfully so because in the end everyone had something to hide.
I’m gonna be honest, the first twist was disappointing, too easy and it left too many questions in the air. I like to suspend reality when reading a thriller, but not that much. Thankfully the following twists make up for it, it’s still a little bit too crazy to be realistic, but in a fun and satisfying way. I LOVED the ending. It was dark and unexpected.

Title: Not His Wife
Author: L.G. Davis
When “Cora” wakes up with no memory after a terrible accident, her husband Evan tells her they’re happily married — but something doesn’t feel right. His aunt warns her to leave, and Cora quickly realizes she can’t trust anyone... especially the man claiming to love her.
From the very first page, I knew this was going to be a wild ride. 😱 Twists, suspense, and shocking reveals kept me flying through the chapters. I never knew what was coming next!
This psychological thriller was gripping, intense, and totally unputdownable.

Not His Wife by L.G. Davis (Publication Date July 15)
OMG is all I can say. She is my new fav thriller author because wow. This is the second book I’ve read from her and I am blown away! Her writing is so easy to read and I never want to put the book down. I am always captivated from the first few pages. I finished it in about 2 days and I kid you not, it was all I thought about. This psychological thriller has SO many twists that I literally did not see coming. I was being hit with twists left and right.
It’s written in two different parts with two diff POV which I loved because we get to see both sides of the story. Since It’s a psychological thriller, I was second guessing myself about everything and at one point, I freaked myself out! The MMC was so well written that I literally could not tell if he was a good or bad guy. I kept switching up on him in every chapter. I also like the side characters because it all ties into the story very well. Overall I just loved it so much!
Pleaseeee add this to your TBR because I promise you are in for a ride. This is my type of thriller books!

This was one of my least fav books by LG Davis. I normally eat up her books but this one fell short for me. I had a hard time getting into it and finishing it.

RATING: 4.5 ⭐️
I don’t even know where to start — I’m still in shock after finishing this book. This was a smart, twisty thriller that kept me hooked until the very last page.
It’s true that I haven’t read many thrillers in my life yet, but I feel like this one has definitely earned a spot on my favorites list. The twists were absolutely mind-blowing, and just when I thought I was starting to put the pieces together, a new twist would hit me — and even my wildest theories didn’t come close to the truth.
I loved how the author went into detail about important things without ever overdoing it. The emotions of the characters were so vividly described that I could clearly picture them in my mind — sometimes so clearly it was a bit scary! I especially appreciated how the author didn’t overwhelm the reader. New characters and plot elements were introduced gradually, keeping every page engaging and making sure the story never felt rushed.
The characters were wonderfully portrayed and perfectly fit the tone of the story. The author also did an excellent job conveying body language, which really added depth to each scene. It was such a relief to finally read about a female protagonist who wasn’t overly dramatic, didn’t rely on anyone, but instead was driven, trusted her instincts, and boldly followed them. I also loved that she wasn’t afraid to dig deeper into things — her curiosity pushed her actions forward and uncovered every little detail.
Evan’s character was also very well written — he acted just as someone in his profession would, playing his cards carefully when dealing with Cora. It was fascinating to see how he handled different situations and tried to turn things to his advantage.
The story tied everything together beautifully, answering all of my questions. Even when I thought I understood something, the book always proved me wrong — either by showing that things weren’t possible the way I imagined, or by giving me a new perspective.
The only reason I took off half a star was because of the beginning. The first half felt a bit slow to me, with only a few intense moments, and the focus was mostly on the general setup and buildup.
However, from the halfway point, the story really got fast, and I was fully hooked. I was on the edge of my seat the entire time, wondering how it would all turn out. I suspected the final twist, but the way it was executed still managed to surprise me — and that was a huge positive for me! It was nearly impossible to predict. Just when I thought everything had wrapped up and I was coming to terms with the ending, the real shock came — and the epilogue added an extra punch on top of that.
To be honest, the final outcome was a bit of a disappointment for me — but not because of the story itself. It was just a personal taste issue, so it didn’t affect my overall rating. I think it’s simply harder for me to adjust to this genre after reading so many romantic novels.
Thank you Bookouture and NetGalley for providing me this book in exchange for an honest review!

Oh my gosh!!!! I just finished this book. I think this is L.G. Davis best yet!!!
I have to say parts kind of creeped me out so I would of been done it sooner but couldn’t read it at night haha
There are twists and turns until the very last page!
Can’t wait to see what she has up her sleeve next!!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Not His Wife had so many surprising twists! Seriously, every chapter ended on a cliffhanger! This book was such an easy read and I flew through it!
Cora wakes up not remembering who she is. The biggest problem is she's in a house and supposedly married to a man she doesn't remember. On top of that, her husband's aunt, who has dementia, is living with them and keeps seeming like she's afraid of something. It's hard for Cora to know truth from lies.
Throughout the book, Cora keeps questioning her reality. She's smart and can tell her husband is lying about stuff, but she doesn't know why and can't figure out the truth.
I kept trying to predict what would happen throughout the book, but the ending shocked me! I pride myself on my ability to guess twists, but this one completely floored me in the best of ways!
The only reason I gave it just 4 stars is because the writing style was a bit simplistic and I typically like more of a picture painted. But the plot was epic!
