I love the cover, and thought the audio narration was fantastic, but must admit I was disappointed in the story overall - it felt so disjointed and hard to keep up with, almost like being on a bit of a trip 🙈

The writing was good, and the story original, but I just found myself disinterested very quickly, and it was all too easy to draw comparisons to There Are Rivers in the Sky when looking at the way rivers shape nations and people, and this had nowhere near the pull or storytelling gift sadly. I also didn’t connect to any of the characters enough, which is important to me.
