Crossover stories a never expected to be deep, they just need to be fun and showcase the characters from both franchises. This crossover book does just that. The story does what it needs to do to show off what fans love about both Naruto and TMNT. I actually liked that unlike some crossovers, some contrived reason for the two franchise characters to meet each other isn't created and this is just a version of the Naruto world that just has a "New York" where of course the Ninja Turtles exist! It was also a great idea to use Naruto and company as they are towards the start of that series.

The artwork is great, capturing both the dynamic action as well personality of the characters. The Prasetya does a great job of capturing both set of characters. Like all good TMNT crossovers, they have made a great Shredder design. Also like most TMNT crossovers, mutagen or ooze is a plot point though not used quite as well as something like the Batman or Masters of the Universe crossovers.

My only really cons for this book would be I would have liked to see how this version of "New York" is different since it belongs in the Naruto world. Also some kind of use of a Naruto villain for Shredder to work with like you would see in these types of crossover. Besides those two tiny cons, this book was better than I was expecting and a lot of fun.

Thank you NetGalley for this arc! I've been obsessed with TMNT since I was a kid, and this was a great addition to my TMNT consumption! It was quick paced, funny at times, everything it should be!

A great crossover between amazing ninja series. I think they did a cool job with the 4 issues they had. It was neat to see the turtles team up with Team 7 from Naruto.

Wow! As a huge Naruto fan, this was everything I needed to resurge some nostalgic feelings. The fight scenes were amazing and the art was great!

Thank you NetGalley for the ARC in exchange for my honest review.

Thanks to NetGalley for my ARC.

Initially I got this for my nephew, he’s obsessed with turtles. Unfortunately he moved to be with family, so I was stuck with this comic book I didn’t have any interest in reading. Nor could I find a reason that these two comic characters would be in the same universe. That is of course, til out of boredom, and mostly because I didn’t want to lower my rating % on NetGalley.

So glad I did because this comic did a few powerful things for me. One, and most importantly, it brought me the nostalgia of the early 90s when I was a kid. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles was the best thing ever. Besides pizza, and then you combine them!? Our world was shooketh! We all dressed as our favorite turtle, mine was always Leonardo, but now and then a brave and intelligent child selected Splinter. They had the foresight to know their destiny was different than the turtles. We would rush home after school to watch the cartoon. When it ended, we would take April O’Neil’s news wagon and (what would later be considered collectible) figurines battling Master Shredder and his goons in the mud puddles left after a bad storm. Mud splatters everywhere. Shredder and his goons were gone. We saved the city, and lived one more day.

The other thing that this comic did was to appeal to an audience whom otherwise might not have been. Fans of TMNT now have a connection to the fandom, and vice versa. This helped to unite into a much larger fandom, but also into a man entirely NEW universe!

And lastly, what this comic has done that none ever have (since those early 90s), is to restore the excitement, the dangers and adventures, and sometimes just some hilarious zingers to help us escape reality even for just a second. Just pretend our oppressors will be handled with the help of TMNT, Naruto and their friends.

This was a fun light hearted story. I liked the idea of combining two stories that ai love, I did feel like it was a little hard to follow but other than that it was really good.

I am not familiar with Naruto, but my kids were huge fans when they were younger. The art style is really fun and is a good combination of the two styles of comics. It starts with action right away. It is a bit chaotic, but fun.

4 stars

Thanks to IDW and NetGalley for the providing the e-ARC in exchange for an honest review.

The individual issues are all released!

I've read Naruto years ago and honestly can't remember all the lore, while I have the minimum knowledge of TMNT. So far it just feels it leans too much on the fanservice side of the crossovers (I know this is the point of the multiple crossovers), while sacrificing the worldbuilding. I personally don't know how far is the "TMNT world" from the "Naruto world". I really enjoyed the [book:Batman/Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Omnibus|57978045], written by [author:James Tynion IV|6852949] and art by [author:Freddie Williams II|33038482], but this just didn't really work for me maybe since it's the same story again - a bit of introduction of the good guys and their origins, then fighting the bad guy, the good guys won, then celebrations w/ pizza.

And choosing that all the characters seemingly super early in the careers is an interesting choice, I personally would like that they are more mature, since this book once again seems like an origin story but with a crossover. And I guess they don't want the Naruto characters to be at their overpowered selves.

Now to the art, I was honestly disappointed, since it was my main reason of asking for the e-ARC of this one (fully my fault since I didn't fully looked into it), was Jorge Jiménez's art. I was really looking forward seeing his art in the interiors. The art of Hendry Prasetya and colors of Raúl Angulo is just fine but it doesn't really stood out.

As epic of a cross over as I expected. It was charming and fun. I didn't know how the two worlds would mash together, but putting the turtles in narato's world and calling NYC big apple village was brilliant. I adored this. Getting to see Naruto in a cool color comic made it extra special.

The crossover between TMNT and Naruto, was a great read. The story and dialogue were amazing for how they interacted and kept the story line going. Definite read and recommend to other readers of TMNT or Naruto.

Review to come late September/early October on my blog and other places.

I received this book from the publisher/Netgalley in exchange of an honest review.

I loved the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles when I was younger (and still have a soft spot for them) and I really enjoyed the first part of Naruto (before the fillers took over and things just got too much), so I was already pretty hyped when I learned about the crossover on Twitter/BlueSky and was even more hyped when I spotted it on Netgalley and got approved to read it!

In this one Team 7 (Naruto and the gang) and TMNT (our sweet kick-ass turtles) meet up when April is researching the goo and figures the best way would be to find someone who knows a lot about it, like a medical jutsu expert (see where that is going) and thus at the ninja village. From there on it is lots of action and battles. Some fun battles with the teams (I loved seeing Sakura kick some serious ass there and gain the respect of Raphael), but also a lot of backstory which I appreciated. Sure, most people who read this crossover are excited about both or either of the universes, but just in case you don't know about x or y or are a total newbie, you get some information. About Naruto's fox (who makes some appearances), about the turtles and their master.

The main story is about + the main antagonists are the Foot Clan and the ooze (the one that changed the turtles/the master to what they are now) and see what the plans are that Saki concocted and see him become the supervillain we know from the series.

I loved seeing the teams team up and how well it fitted to see our turtles match with the ninjas (that one move from Naruto and Michelangelo, the U-Zu-Mikey-Angelo-Barrage).

And the art, oh the art, that one was just freaking fabulous and fantastic. I loved every moment of it and I loved how everyone was draw and how well the action scenes were done. Plus, I appreciate extra art in between the chapters, plus how at the end we are getting a ton of art by various artists.

All in all, I flew through this one and I am sure that fans of the shows will have a lot of fun with this one and it will also be a fun introduction to newbies!

Everyone knows I love Naruto and I have been keeping my eye on this series for a long time now. It was a pleasure to read this dattebayo! Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles x Naruto is a crossover between Naruto and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. For starters the idea is amazing! The whole thing actually works and mostly this comic is about the two teams meeting and fighting together against Shredder of course. The comic is quite action based, which is a bummer, since I would've liked to have more history to back this up. The meeting of our heroes felt slightly lazy and I wish Goellner had used more time to build the plot and how we got where we eventually got. Especially Naruto's part was lacking if you don't know the story by heart. More time was used to present the turtles.

The art is superb and everything looks so extremely fine, wow. Because of that it was a true pleasure to read this, even though the plot was lacking. I hope we get more into the Naruto side if this series continues, and I do hope it's not a "monster of the week" type of series. We want more depth! We want more everything! We love both Naruto and Turtles! Moar! Moar!

As someone who grew up with both Naruto and TMNT, this crossover was beautifully nostalgic. It was a throwback to my childhood just seeing the OG Team 7 with the TMNT crew. The creators clearly know the source material, peppering it with small storytelling nods and references that fans of the original work know and love.

The action is well-paced and moves freely from panel to panel, easy to follow without becoming too visually busy or flashing before the reader’s eyes. The coloring matches the tone perfectly; vibrant and energetic and has a bit of moodiness depending on the scene. Visually, it is both and neither.

The thing that impressed me the most however was character collaboration. The banter between Naruto and TMNT charas feels natural, sounds how they would bounce off each other in a universe where they coexist. Their voices, their dynamics, actually there is real care done for that.

Just a small suggestion you may consider: The name of the move, “half shell rasengan spiral sphere,” could be cleaned up. “Rasengan” and "Spiral Sphere" are basically one and the same (it is the literal translation) so it might be a little smoother, and avoid redundancy, if you dropped “Spiral Sphere”. Also, even though to consider both the franchises new (or will be fans because of this comic), I guess it’s understandable to keep both. Overall, this was a very fun action-packed crossover that delivered the nostalgia and some great storytelling. Better for either franchise fans.

Wow as a big fan of both Naruto and TMNT this was such a fun read! I think the art here was very well done. It was kinda cool to see some of our beloved Naruto characters in the tmnt art style. And I loved seeing some of my favorite characters interact with one another. Have team 7 and TMNT team up to take out shedder and the foot clan was so much fun!

I loved all of the fights we get. We get a little bit of a Naruto vs TMNT at the beginning, if for only brief moment. And all of the tag team fights were really cool and I really enjoyed the art for it. Naruto teaming up with Mikey just works perfectly! I will say the fight scenes went by a little too fast for me. They were cool, don’t get me wrong, I just wanted more!!

The story is not all that deep or in-depth, and is resolved fairly quickly. But to be fair it’s a short cross over. So I didn’t really expect it to be. that said I really wish we got a bit more from the story. And maybe a bit more length too. I read this WAY too quickly. I just more!!

The artwork through out was really well done. I loved almost every page. Very bright and vibrant color choices. Our characters really pop off the page.

Over all I think this a fun cross over. I had a big smile across my face throughout the whole read. Seeing team 7 and the TMNT team up to take out shedder was awesome and I hope they make more crossovers in the future! If you’re a fan of Naruto and TMNT I’d recommend giving it a read!

This was a really good crossover of teenage mutant ninja turtles meeting Naruto, Sasuke, Kakashi and Sakura.
I like how they team up together to defeat evil.
The artwork was colourful and had the feel of both worlds.
I definitely recommend and would read more!

Growing up in the 90s I was a Teenage Mutant Ninja turtles fan be it live action movies, cartoon series or any media really. In the early 2000s I also got into Naruto so when I say seeing a crossover of these two was both a nostalgia and serotonin hit! I am pleased to say it did not disappoint one bit, but we know I am biased.

I adored the artwork and storyline but most of all I enjoyed that Sakura was given a bit of respect and page time (I won't rant about this). The colouring is bright and fits both fandoms perfectly. The lineart was amazing and kept true to the character design. It was so much fun seeing the teams work together and I loved the banter of Kakashi and Splinter, it was also a nice touch to connect them together the way they did. It's clear this was written by a fan for the fans. It might not be everyone's liking but if you are like me and still love both TMNT and Naruto in my thirties this is a must read! I'll be getting it physically for sure.

As someone who has been a TMNT fan as well as a Naruto fan for as long as I could remember, this was a crossover made in heaven! For my traditional manga readers, it takes a little bit to get used to reading Naruto in left to right, but it’s not that crazy. The art in this is top tier in my opinion as they did a great job with blending the styles so that neither side (TMNT or Naruto) felt out of place. The story, while a little rushed due to it being a four-issue run, did make sense and combined elements from both franchises surprisingly well though seeing Big Apple village did catch me off-guard a little bit. The only real complaint I have with this is that I wish it was longer as we could have seen a really well-developed story with some character bonding and what not, but, as aforementioned, it’s a four-issue run. Still, all in all, I thoroughly enjoyed this series and those who are fans of ninjas, action, and pizza should definitely read this! Cowabunga and Believe It!!

This was nostalgic -- I watched both TMNT and Naruto as a kid/teen -- and so enjoyable in that respect, but ultimately felt pretty empty. It just had no substance. The storyline was basically "they meet" and didn't really go beyond that or even go further than surface-level interactions between the teams (although I thought at some points that it might have been trying to). There were some hints that certain characters could have understood each other and gotten along on a deeper level -- I especially liked the Michaelangelo and Naruto combination -- but the story really failed to delve into the massive amount of potential.

The art was great - very engaging and dynamic and colorful, with the characters displaying a wide range of expressions and emotions. It's definitely a comic book style and that works. I really loved all the varied compositions and shapes of panels the artist used.

Overall, read it for the nostalgia hit and the art, but not for the story itself. However, I really hope that there will be further adventures that really dig into the story potential. If there are, I'll definitely be checking them out.
