This is yet another gripping installment in this fantastic series, starring Amanda and Trent.
Young girls being targeted and then murdered are, to me, perhaps the most harrowing crimes that can be committed, and I believe even the most seasoned police officer would be shaken by it. So it’s all hands on deck to put an end to it as quickly as possible.
An old case being connected to the current one is an angle I personally really enjoy. And who better to call on for help than someone who has examined every detail of the cold case, hoping to find connections and bring closure to the parents?
The author did her best to keep me glued to her book — and she more than succeeded. I absorbed every word, filled with disgust and love, with tension and relief. I was on the edge of my seat, sending every possible positive vibe to the detective duo, hoping to lift their spirits and help them catch this traumatized perpetrator.
Did it help or not? No idea, but I’m incredibly happy with the result they achieved.
On a personal level, I’m convinced the two main characters would be perfect for each other. The question is whether it’s finally going to happen now, or if another spoiler is going to come into play. I already know the answer — but of course, I’m not going to spoil it. Where would the fun be in that? ;)
To me, this was particularly captivating, and I thoroughly enjoyed the way the author kept me under her spell. So it’s only natural that I give this book a full 5 stars.
Thank you.

Thank you Bookouture for this ARC, greatly appreciated.
Carolyn Arnold delivers another fast paced tough read. This one was pretty dark and really pulled me in, no spoilers so I will not discuss storyline.
14 books in and it doesn't seem like Amanda is going anywhere soon. I am amazed at how the author can keep the characters still fresh relevant and yet still developing over such a long arc of story telling. Bravo and looking forward to book 15

Im a big fan of Carolyn Arnold and the detective Amanda Steele books and this latest one did not disappoint me! If you haven't read the others these can be read alone.
Three girls who's abductions are linked a long way back in the past and Amanda and Trent are up against the clock from the start.
Absolutely brilliant.

I love this series!! thank you NetGalley and the author Carolyn Arnold for the advanced copy.
I like Amanda and Trent as co workers, I think they work well together. This was a good book and very sad at the same time. Any story involving children being hurt or killed is tough, but this was well written. I liked that Katherine was apart of this as well.
I liked the new Doctor, I think he will make a nice addition to Amanda and Zoe
Really enjoyed this, in spite of the subject, and looking forward to more with Amanda

Thank you to NetGalley, the author, and the publisher for providing me with an ARC of this book in exchange for my honest review.
I wasn't aware this book was part of a series when I started reading, but it didn't detract from my enjoyment at all. The author did an excellent job of providing sufficient context, ensuring the story stood well on its own.
I finished this book in under 48 hours! The mystery was captivating and kept me thoroughly engaged, eager to discover who the killer was.
I'm now very much looking forward to reading the other books in the series.

In Three Girls Gone, the disappearance and murder of a young girl sees Detective Amanda Steele and partner Trent Stenson team up with Katherine Graves to revisit a cold case in order to solve the new one — and for Katherine, this case is personal. While the team works together to find the identity of the killer, a third girl goes missing. Can they crack the case and get to her in time? This fast-paced crime thriller left me on the edge of my seat for the entirety of its suspenseful ride.

Carolyn does it again!
Another addition to her Detective Amanda Steele series. A very complex crime mystery.
The race is on to save these little girls.
I could not put this book down. I was up all night, second guessing myself and not trusting anyone! Terribly horrifying and will have you on the edge of your seat the whole ride! Hands down one of the best thrillers I have been on it a while.
Thank you NetGalley for this copy. I look forward to the next book!

Three Girls Gone by Carolyn Arnold is book 14 of the Amanda Steele series. Amanda and her team are investigating the murder of a young dancer which seems familiar to another case a few years ago. This book keeps you guessing till the end . This series is very good and I highly recommend you read them all. Thanks to Bookouture and Netgalley for my arc.

Three Girls Gone by Carolyn Arnold is a gripping addition to her Detective Amanda Steele series, promising readers a thrilling dive into a complex world of crime and investigation. The story centers around the mysterious disappearance of three young women from a small town, a case that quickly lands on Detective Steele's desk. Arnold weaves a compelling narrative filled with unexpected twists and turns that keep readers guessing until the very end. Her ability to develop deep, multifaceted characters shines through, particularly in Steele, whose personal struggles and determination add layers to the storyline. The pacing is swift, maintaining tension and excitement throughout, while Arnold's meticulous attention to procedural details lends authenticity to the investigation. Three Girls Gone is an engaging read for fans of crime thrillers, offering both suspense and an emotional journey. Although personally I don't enjoy detective stories. I did enjoy this book.

Amanda Steele is at it again. This addition to the series did not disappoint. She still has her larger-than-life drive to solve the crime with Trent complimenting her on all points. The race was on to save a little girl’s life, the third missing. All that ensues in the chase is enough to chill your blood. It was action-packed throughout and the unexpected left an impact more than once. Book provided by NetGalley.

Thank you to NetGalley and Bookouture for my copy of Three Girls Gone by Carolyn Arnold
Detective Amanda Steele is called to the scene when a young girl is found dead. For Amanda and Trent (her partner) their only focus is to find the truth.
Then another girl goes missing, they must discover the culprit and save Eloise.
There is a whole lot more to the story that you will enjoy as you read the book. I raced through it, guessing and second guessing who it was, where they were, and how they were going to find them.
A good edition to the series, with Amanda and Trent’s will they won’t they adding sparks.

This is my 8th book that I have read in this series and each one is brilliant. Detective Amanda Steele and her work partner Trent have yet another mystery to solve when a young girl is found murdered and left on a carousel. After a third girl goes missing they know they are running out of time to still find her alive.
Brilliant from start to finish. I can't wait for the next book.

As always a hit it out of the park home run. These characters are some of my literary faves. This book started with a horrifying heart pounding event and kept a breakneck speed till the very end. What is more horrifying than the murder of a child. This one had all the twists and turns a person could want. It was fast paced and a roller coaster ride start to finish. Horrifying, heart pounding an edge of your seat thrill ride!

This is a gripping read dealing with the murder of a young girl. Amanda soon notices similarities with another case from the past, a case close to the heart of former detective Katherine Graves. Although Katherine is no longer a serving officer Amanda does not have the heart to turn her away, allowing her to be part of the investigation despite warnings from her superiors. This book had me rapt from the very beginning. I always enjoy a cold case and the fact that this was such an emotive situation made it all the more appealing. I read it in one sitting.
Thanks to Netgalley and the publisher for an ARC of this book

Thank you Bookoutre and NetGalley for this arc.
I love a good detective/police procedural/crime mystery. This one is apart of a series but can be read as a stand alone.
I enjoyed the storyline and our lead detective!

A young girl is missing. When her body, dressed in a ballerina tutu, is discovered in a local park, Prince William County (VA) Detective Amanda Steele and her partner, Trent, are on the case. They uncover a connection with a twelve-year-old case in which another child was taken and murdered. When a third girl goes missing, Amanda and Trent race against time to try to save her.
Yet another of Arnold’s fast-paced, suspenseful police procedurals, this is the fourteenth in the series, although it would work as a stand-alone. Carolyn Arnold is one of my go-to authors and never disappoints. Once again, I devoured this book in a day as I couldn’t put it down. Arnold knows how to capture and maintain readers' interest and keep them briskly turning the pages. I enjoy the repeating characters, especially Amanda, who, despite an earlier tragedy in her life, is a strong, capable, independent, and empathetic woman, and her complicated relationship with Trent is always interesting.
If you are a fan of police procedurals, and well written, suspenseful stories with compelling character development, I highly recommend this series.

This is a hell of an emotional, twisty, and thrilling read! One that I read in one sitting as I couldn't bring myself to put it down, even for a few minutes.
This is book #14 in the series, and you'd think by now that the storyline and plots would be getting thin, but they just keep getting better and better.
In this installment, Detectives Amanda Steele and her partner Trent Stenson are pulled into a case that was previously under the jurisdiction of the Missing Persons Dept. A six year old girl who was classed as missing has now been found murdered, placed on a carousel in a park, dressed as a ballerina. The similarities are so close to that of a cold case from 12 years ago, one that Amanda's old colleague Katherine Graves is still haunted by and investigating in her own time, that Amanda gets the authority to bring her in to help.
When another girl goes missing, they realise that they are on the hunt of a killer who targets children. Two girls have already been killed, but can they find the third before it's too late?
Amanda is still trying to juggle her life as a single mum to her adopted daughter Zoe and also juggle her feelings about hers and Trent's 'relationship'. *no spoilers*
This is a really fast paced plot that feels like it's moving ahead constantly. As I've come to expect, it is extremely well written, and the plot line flows perfectly. Skillfully crafted, there is never a lull or dull moment that not only hooks you in but keeps you completely captivated until the very last sentence.
Full to the bring with suspense, tension, and mystery, and with a superb ending, what more could you possibly want? Apart from book #15 to have landed in your lap the second you close the book!
If you haven’t read the previous books (shame on you 🤣) I'd highly recommend you do as the character development within this series is phenomenal and you really do need to read from the beginning to fully understand the previous cases and dynamics between the characters!
Huge thanks to Netgalley and Bookouture for the ARC.

This was an excellent book. I love detective Steele. I couldn't put it down it was so exciting. I love how it tied into her past too!
Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for allowing me to read this arc in exchange for an honest review!

Detective Amanda Steele faces a new and painful case. A little girl is found murdered on a carousel dressed as a ballerina. She and her partner, Trent, soon realize that this one has similarities with a cold case involving another young girl who was an incredible dancer. A note is left with the body that names a past police chief as the motivation for the murder and tells her to stop investigating the earlier murder. When another little girl is taken, Amanda and her team rely on the ongoing investigation of the retired police officer and her knowledge of the earlier case. As secrets are revealed, Amanda is frantic to find the currently missing child unharmed and stop the crazed perpetrator. It's a great read. What does the future hold for Amanda?

A fast-paced and entertaining book that was super easy to get into. Even though it’s part of a series, it works well as a standalone. The writing is clear and easy to follow, and I especially loved the short chapters—they kept things moving and made it hard to put down. A solid and enjoyable mystery read!
